I've been thinking for a long time about this question.

When girls are child there's one amazing fantasy we are presented to:
Prince Charming!!

Aaw, we grow up with the hope of meeting him (and movies like the ones of Disney makes the wish stronger).

I bet, not in every country it is call like that.

For example, in
Mexico we refer to him as "Príncipe Azul", in English it would be "Blue Prince" xd

I think it started with the Sleeping Beauty song "Once Upon a Dream", the Spanish adaptation says "It is you the Blue Prince I've been dreaming on"

So, how do you say this "prince" in your country?

In French it's exactly the same as in English. So you just say : Prince charmant (Prince charming)

Sorry no one has been replying to your thread. sad

After I was reminded about the Dutch one, which is posted below, I realised that we say that in French too! So although you can say prince charmant, which means "Prince charming", you can also say le prince charmant sur son cheval blanc which means "prince charming on his white horse". smile

In Dutch you can say een droomprins which means "a dream prince". But you can also say de prins op het witte paard which means "the prince on his white horse". smile

User Image Thank you very much for answering!!
It's quite interesting, even though there is not big participation.
germans occasionally use the english word "prince charming" aswell. though, the german word for it would be "Traumprinz" wich would be literally translated "dream prince"

Newbie Traveler

I have no idea how to translate "prince charming" in Filipino. I think the word "prinsipe" covers everything in my language. It gives a certain notion that prince are almost always charming. lol
we call it here ''the dreams knight''. and we say it ''Faris Al'Ahlam'' in arabic language. biggrin

pronounced like this:
Faris = faa-res
Al'Ahlam = al-ah-laam
Hm, I think that for Koreans, "prince charming" is translated into "prince on a white horse" o-0;
