so how is everyone?
Totally enjoying my Saturday. We have a peacock, we call Kevin, that adopted us a few years ago. He is a sweet and gentle bird. He hangs out, eats bread, cherry tomatoes, and dog and cat food. He is not caged and wanders all day long. We live on an acre. He visits our back porch about 5pm for his dinner. He seemed lonely, so we found a breeder that was willing to part with a peahen. She is skittish, but alert. We've had her about 3 months now and is doing well. Well, she has been laying eggs, so we let her sit on 4 of them to see if Kevin was "doing his thing". All 4 eggs hatched sometime last night, so we woke up to 4 adorable baby peachicks. They are a little bigger than baby chickens. They are so cute.
We already have chickens and have raised several, but we never thought we'd have peacocks/hens.
