@Kiss: It is true that there's only so much you can do to prevent it. The only other thing I can think of besides what you've already mentioned is being sure to wear proper clothing. I have a very light and airy white jacket that I wear unless it's just too hot. But when it comes to Melanoma awareness, I think the most important thing is just the awareness part since a lot of people don't realize how deadly it really is. Early detection is probably the most critical thing to stress in melanoma awareness.
I mean, it was the one cancer deadly enough to earn the black ribbon.
