Because currently Gambino would be plummetting at a rate of 120 something miles per hour (or was it. 50 something... heck I forget physics), and forcing the helicopter to dive at that speed is unthinkable, not to mention that Cindy wouldn't get anything out of it. Nor would the pilot, co-pilot, or the helicopter itself.

A good plan on paper, but the laws of physics and acceleration don't agree. :/ Cindy and Gambino would eventually fall at the same speed, giving Cindy no chance to catch up.
