The time in the forums is your local time or what ever you have it on in your sttings and the map time is Gaia time.

*gasp( the forum time is completly diferent from my time. eek

That in itself means nothing. It just means they aren't going to post anything in the forums. They can still edit Gaia pages I think. They have to be logged into something else for that.

And Serial Experiments Lain is deffinetly NOT an anime series to watch when you are

1 - over tired
2 - stoned
3 - drunk
4 - depressed
5 - easily confused

So if you fall into any 1 of those...wait untill your not one of those to watch it...me i was WAY WAY to tired...didn't get it at all...had to watch it a second time. Friends of mine were each of the rest...same results
