I absolutely adore blue mages~
My favorite would probably be Quinna from 9, it's ugly as hell but it has the best selection of Blue Magic and I don't think I'd have beat that final boss without it.

I played FFXI for a very long time to acquire a Gjallarhorn back in the day when it took 2 years to upgrade your relics through 5 stages.

Hands down- Bard.

The previous installments of the Final Fantasy series (which I've played literally all of them, and beat all of them) did not sell the bard class to me until FFXI.

Knight/Paladin class! Good ol' melee, maybe some holy magic as a paladin, and great defense. I always have a Paladin in my FFTA/FFTA2 games whee Suits my playing style well XD

Monks all the way. Really, I enjoy any class that's heavily physical and deals a lot of damage, but monks are well-known for having great defense and HP on top of their strength, which makes them my favorite.
