I don't understand why you'd bring it to the PS3. It's not gonna add anything groundbreaking graphicwise and Sony is really picky with 2D fighters on their systems (look at SNK games.)

So having it on the PS2 is a fair tradeoff to most of the gamers who are serious about fighters who have a BC PS3 or still rockin a PS2. all it really needs is Progressive Scan...something the original lacked and could've used to make the game look even more awesome.

all I know is, it's time to pre-order soon from Play-asia.

I hope the console release is based off ver. 2.6... Kaumis 22X series can be used on top of each other and normals become stronger with each additional charge. that just SOUNDS sexy!

look at that lag! its almost like the programmers didn't even care! Imagine if you where to finish the round with a super... stressed sweatdrop

On top of that:

-No stage select AT ALL. Not even training mode has it.
-No soft reset.
-Button config does not use A/B/C etc. notation.
-VS screen loads again after selecting "retry" in VS mode.
-Timer still exists on character and arcana select screens.
-Tons of slowdown during supers.
-Music skipping.

Music overall is....meh. There's only a few tracks I like on the game overall (ending, Angelina's theme, Heart's theme being the main 3.)

the lag...apparently only Petra, Catherine and the final boss really lag. Though still...

music skipping kinda can be a problem on songs I like. But it's nothing that bad. (I mean..not bad as in it should stay in though.)

IF anything, I think they will do a recall like with GGAC. Granted, this is a different publisher doing the game this time.

No stage select doesn't kill me. I only went to about 4 stages on the last game during training (Fiona, Heart, Lillica)

No soft reset? not reallllllly needed. It's a nice feature but it's nothing ground breaking. I only think Soft Resets help a lot in RPGs more than fighters.

button config is no biggie. Most people use the keypad notation for this game anyway. Plus on places like SRK, they'll still use the ABC notation.

Vs. screen isn't a problem. the first game did this. plus now you can skip it unlike the first.

I tried playing this for PS2 once. Everything was just so different from other fightan gaems I played before, so I was really thrown for a loop. It was like I had to relearn everything all over again, and I guess that's fine if you're interested in that sort of thing. The cast of characters was something fresh for a change, and I enjoyed their designs for the brief time that I was playing. Some morbid little kid with half a doll in a case, a dog ninja girl... thing... stuff I haven't really seen before. It was nice.

But what totally turned me away from ever playing that game ever again was that cheap and broken last boss. Doesn't matter where you're standing, or what you're doing, she'll hit you anyway. I mean, COME ON. Sucked the fun clean dry from it and that was the end. That's my personal experience with this otherwise good-looking game.

By the way, I was using Lilica... if that matters any.

i remember playing AH1... is AH2 out now or is it still arcade? Nevermind... i looked around. Kinda sucks that there have been problems have they been resolved? Hopefully an english version comes out. I'm not in the mood to use a slide key anymore with imports.

that's why there's swap disc to eliminate the old silly slide key way.

I still haven't got my copy. but i'm also not at home right now. but it's pretty much a ragefest with the game everywhere you go. And after reading on SRK, Examu knew quite well on the shitty port. Their excuse basically came down to "hardcore players will notice it, but the casual players won't really mind."

their statement on their shitty port is really inexcusable.

Like I said at SRK. Examu released this shitty port, let people buy it up even though they know it's a crappy port, then release Kawai! Arcana Heart 2 on the PS3/360 with the updated version.
