I'm 25 and I still haven't memorized most of my times tables. I've only just begun to grasp percentages, I managed to tackle a sheet on ratios yesterday but I'm sure I'll forget the process again soon.

Practice while shopping. What with multiple items, discounts and promotions surely you can employ math all the time.

Even at the age of 25, do you understand your bank dividends? Or how the per diem on your car payments are calculated? You may find it useful to know.

I have dyslexia.
Reading and math is a huge struggle for me.
It didn't help that I didn't have a very understanding mother who beat me for struggling with these subjects.

But 3/3 in decimal is 1. 1/3 and 2/3 are less accurate when defined as decimals in that fashion but do not change 3/3 = 1. It's why you keep the fractions in place if you need an exact measurement.

Well now that's not really true. I'm an accounting student, but I've always disliked higher level math courses. I love a good challenge mentally, I just don't enjoy a good math challenge mentally

Sounds more like you dislike tedium or another aspect of the higher courses more than the math itself.

Reflecting on what you quoted, I must admit, my wording was not the best.
