I have nothing against girl's in wrestling (I was in wrestling) and I just want to know what do you think about that
GIRL POWER! Finally! I have nothing against girls who want to play boy sports or boys who want to play girl sports. Why should there be a difference?

YES! I have no problem in that, its just that sometimes I notice that the guys in the sport dont really give the girls much support than they should. (In my school, the guys are pretty much a d**k)

Yeah, they are bias. They believe that women can't do what men can do. Now I'm not saying that all women can do what men do, but some can and that's what matters. For example, Pro Wrestler Beth Phoenix started out as the only girl on her high school's wrestling team. She came in third in the tournament. Girls can do whatever they set their minds to, and I won't judge a dude who want to do cheerleading or gymnastics. Kudos to the dude who dares to be different!

I agree. In a way I really loved the sport but when it came to the coach and the rest of the team.. I couldnt just take up all the BS that they gave me. Also the fact that my parents did not like the fact that I was in wrestlling so I have to quit just last year so I am bumped about it xP

That stinks. It's really hard to follow through with something that no one supports you on. I wish I could've done wrestling in school.

Awesome! Congratulations! You're right. Sometimes you just have to ignore what ppl say, pick up and carry on. Do something worthwhile and prove them wrong!
I wrestled in high school for 3 years ... both freestyle and Greco-Roman... I did do a little wrestling in college ... now I have made the transition to MMA ...

Anyway I know the feeling ... it seems like you're isolated from the start ... the rest of the team giving you the same amount of disdain as a stray dog on the street ... I guess I was lucky enough that my coach was a cool guy ... but he was no more harder on me than the rest of the team ...

I however won over my team though ... through hard work ... I would be the first one to all practices ... last to leave ... and I wouldn't give an inch ... I used my heart ... my drive ... my work ethic to win them over ... not to mention I pinned the majority of the team ... there was probably only on person I couldn't pin ... we would just go at it for the entire match with no real outcome ... he would truly test my abilities ...

But yeah ... you're not alone ...

The only thing I'd say against girls wrestling is that if I DID wrestle, I'd be afraid to go against one and get yelled at for " "touching" " them or something. Law suits aren't fun.
