Actually reminded me more of the 6th or 7th Doctor, actually. I have a good feeling this mercilessness will be an arc for him the rest of this series.

Well he knows that something is wrong with Amy and Rory. Whatever the Doctor and Amy have is strained. I think Matt Smith is playing that really well.

Except he's not (that we know of) going to be regenerating any time soon. When Ten went down a similar path of character development, he knew he wasn't really going to be the same again. So he was gone, and Eleven came. But Eleven's going to have to work through whatever darkness himself. I don't know if the Doctor knows how to undergo personal transformation without physically regenerating. That's just my take.

Yup, that sounds about right. I guess it was pretty ruthless how he dealt with Filch Solomon, even though he was a pretty grody dude.

I was funny and move more sense that I expected. Rory's dad is awesome, he should meet Wilf sometime. I bet they'd get along wonderfully.

But the Doctor is freaking me out. He leaves a man to certain death, even if he was a complete d**k who deserved it? And GLOATS in his face?

Where is the man who took pity even on Davros? Who forgave the Master? Who couldn't shoot the man who killed Jenny?
