Seriously, just because something has twangy noises does not mean it's country.
Just because the music video has trucks, rodeos, and a guy in a cowboy hat does not mean it's country.
Just because a guy in a cowboy hat made it does not mean it's country.
It's pop music. It's pop music with twangy noises and lyrics about rural lifestyle. How rural some of the towns some of these people are from actually are is kind of debatable at times, but that's beside the point.
So basically, I think we're on the same page.
