I have a bit of a complex issue here. This has been an issue since I got this new internet service. My family recently got this Bandluxe R529 router/modem combo.

Router/Modem Picture

Before, my family had been using Time Warner Cable with internet. Their service had been getting costly and we switched to Direct TV which had this local internet company. When I had gotten on that old modem. It had worked for the most part but disconnected a lot. I am not sure if internet out here is trash...
Right now, when I connect on the Bandluxe. I can get connected and all that no problem. The nat has been nat 3 for the longest time. This router/modem doesn't support upnp. I can't find the ports to open for this router/modem anywhere. I have even tried doing DMZ for this router/modem. That didn't work either. I have turned off the firewall before for the device, and that didn't work out well either.
I know I have done a lot of google searching on this. Apparently people who already talked to the support for the company. Said that the company couldn't really do anything. I just don't really know what to do now to fix this. Anyone got any advice that could maybe give me to solve this problem?
Take that back and get a different modem/router imo.
Ports are specific to services, not routers. They are a logical connections for certain services at layer 4 of the OSI model.

Your biggest issue is that you have a cellular router/modem and are probably going to experience heavy latency and will not be able to game effectively.

You need to figure out which ports you want to open for what services, and then open them. You will probably also need some static NAT forwards on inbound ports. You will need to statically assign your PS3 an IP to do this.

To understand why you have to port forward inbound you need to understand how NAT works, I recommend this video: ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBqPzHEDzvo

You will probably want to just disable upnp, since it is not supported by your router.

There are a lot of good guides for a similar model router on this website, just dont buy their auto config tool:
