Raspberry Pi single board server base.

So I was chatting with some people when the conversation turned to Raspberry Pi single boards. Apparently it is a super cheap board that has surprisingly good performance, I was looking to build a server for general server-ness, like maybe hosting a website and maybe rehosting an old Minecraft server, would a board like this be effective for such?

Are there any other kinds of single boards I should be contemplating?

The Raspberry Pi might be a bit on the slow side. It's only 600MHz or so, and Minecraft's server is fairly demanding. But for a web server or the like, yeah, it'd be fine.

You can also look at the BeagleBone, which has very similar hardware.
The PandaBoard is a good deal more powerful and still has similar hardware.
The Trim-Slice has even more powerful hardware, and it comes in a nice nickel case. (Tho it gets a touch warm.)

You might want to also look at the Gumstix, which is meant for this kind of thing.

I have a Trim-Slice and a BeagleBone, and I have a RasPi on the way.

Nah no worries, I googled it, but... the Raspberry Pis are like twenty five dollars according to Wikipedia. (35 dollars according to Google search)

$25 for the Model A (no ethernet, 1 USB port), and $35 for the model B (ethernet, 2 USB ports). The only retailers that have model B are charging between $15 and $40 shipping, depending on where you live. I'm still waiting (after 2 months) for Newark to ship mine.

The BeagleBone is $80, but doesn't come with a DVI/HDMI port.
PandaBoard retails $120, I think, and has everything.
Trim-Slice is the only "finished product" out of all of them, and it comes with wireless, TV-in capture, and a few other goodies.

Edit: Actually, you could probably look at the Sheevaplug or something like that, since that's what it's for. There's also the Plugable, which I saw at LinuxFest Northwest this year. Looks interesting.
