im having problems with a CD/DVD burner

my dad bought a new CD/DVD burner but there is one problem. It didnt come with any software so now i have to find it on the internet.

If youve had the same problem tell me how u fixed it.

id tell you the product but my dad put it somewhere.

i found it. Its a DYNEX Product.

It says the model is : DX-DVDRW8

You don't need drivers, you'll just need burner software. I suggest Nero

some of them requires drivers like mine. i just had windows do a search for it on the net. then again yours might be plug & play.

i have never heard of a cd/dvd burner being a plug and play. all of them need drivers to run.once you have the drivers you could just use the windows cd creator if you wanted but nero works too. i have Nero6 ultimate.
