Megumi gazed off distractedly for a while, until a half smirk attacked her facial expression when Sheggorath became captain of the obvious again. "Thank you, though I'm pretty sure what me name is. I've only had it for.... how long now? Bah, what's the use. Age is but a number these days." She smiled, rolling her eyes at his previous comment of 'you're only as old as you feel'. She nodded respectively as he continued speaking about how we are who are no matter what and we just have to keep searching - or something like that. It was when he mentioned good company and whiskey that her ears twitched and her eyes opened up again.

"Oh dear brother you speak my language, though it seems you've already indulged a bit too much in the good stuff for your vessel." She giggled, sitting back up slowly to stretch. When he mentioned going downstairs, going inside to see who would be moving about... she wiggled her hips and planted her hands on the tiles. "I think I'm alright for the moment. Too much excitement at once isn't good for the soul - you know? I'm still trying to wrap my head around..." she gestured towards him, "...this." She smiled, curiosity lingering behind the veil of amusement in her eyes.

Sheggorath the skooma cat

Then with a great shimmering they all disappeared except the one nearest to Kai who walked over and sat its rump down determinedly as if it was reporting to the strange winged person. I did as you asked, she did not move. Is this my new host now? It asked simply with a few voices sounding hopeful.

Yuni seemed to be having a furry party in her own head with how entertained she was with all these cats. Soon, she wouldn't be able to tell which cat she's poked at already! However, as she was about to playfully pounce on a targeted feline, all the kitties disappeared. Hey! was her indignant yelp when her face collided with invisible floor, followed by Nytmaer's amused snickering.

Shuddup! The Nekojin told the projected god before sticking her tongue out and smiling. She knew genuine, bright, smiles bothered the evil thing.

Nytmaer replied with its own wide grin with jagged teeth, the runes and flickering characters appearing distorted. Careful. Smiles like that have gotten many women in very... one-sided situations, with their legs spread and their throats torn out.

That seemed to have hit a nerve... and things seem to have escalated, quickly. The little blue flame of Yuni's energy signature flared into an inferno of anger. Kai blinked slowly and leaned a little to peek around the attentive feline, giving a sigh before reaching a hand out.

Ego præcipio tibi, duratus, et fovea. And so the scene did, a burst of ice crackling as it encased the entire labyrinth with the beast inside. Nytmaer's projection flickered, violet eyes glaring violently at the angel before it faded out from sight.

Mother f*cker... Yuni grumbled, her fire dying down as she sulked on her spot, tail swaying quickly with agitation behind her.

Kai lowered her hand, and returned her attention to the demonic cat. Her own projection was looking a bit faint, energy reservoirs looking a little on the empty side. Her stony face even looked a little weary. I thank you for your cooperation. However, I will not permit you to make this your new host. I may have other ideas in mind for you.

He had his own smiled etched on his face as he listened to her and gazed out over the far too idyllic and peaceful forest, though he noticed there was a new clearing where his killer had undoubtedly been killed. The glittering azure eyes glanced at her as the magic of whiskey seemed to have brought her out of that awkwardness she had been displaying. He quickly retorted, 'hey ay swear there was something wrong with that whiskey, it must have been spiked with something...' Then she went back to her wriggling. Sheggorath personally still didnt want to move, he didnt even risk leaning forwards and stayed sitting straight with his legs crossed on the slightly shabby tiles. Though he couldnt help the reaction of swiveling his top half to face her when her hand flailed in his general direction. One dark eyebrow raised he shot back at her, 'and whats wrong with this? Ay've been trying to get back to this for the better part of several millennia, and now everyones acting like this body is the freakshow after getting used to that bloody furry cat one.' He sighed out his frustration and leaned back on his hands letting his head tilt back to look up at the blue sky. 'Maybe ay should just do this...' Without pause lighter tones of an illusion flooded from his black hair downwards, the dark locks bleaching to silver. Two black tipped ears unfurled as his pale skin fluffed out with tawny fur, a tail curled out from behind him, and with a blink the oceanic blue eyes flashed to a rich golden yellow. To say he had an intense dislike for his old form he had recreated it down to the last little detail. The re-yellow-fied cat like eyes glanced over at Meg looking for a reaction. 'Well, is that better for you?'

The actual Seggorath cat was still sitting in Yuni's mind in all its tawny glory, though its hopeful demeanour had drooped a little when Kai denied its request. Its combined voices had a curve of annoyance and wariness to them as it inquired, what do you have intended for me then? The grand feline stood its energy buzzing on high alert, it seemed to be a little distrustful of the strange winged woman. Or maybe it didnt like the idea of being used for some possibly sinister purpose. And this creature that had ordered it about seemed weakened by the icy trick it had performed, so the demonic cat would be ready to fight if it had to.

Kai could tell the cat wasn't very fond of her, already, and no surprise. So she was going to be straight with the entity. From one beast to another. Her hands were loosely fitted into her pockets instead of the previous crossed position, showing openness of a sort. The projection fizzed for a second as Kai thought on how to word this.

I am proposing a deal. An experiment. I do not have the means of magically growing a body. But I have the scientific means. You wish for a host, and I need a test subject. Kai began, a violet brow quirked slightly on her pale face as she carefully watched the cat. If all goes well, you will have your very own body. If it does not, then re-calibration is necessary.

Grey stood frozen staring at the black sludge unaware of the new guest that had entered. He fell to his knees hurling another batch of sludge. "well.....bullocks" He weakly got back up holding his sword tightly. He walked outside and stared at the trees "if i die.....ill die taking as much as i can" Grey walked into the forest enough away that the people in the sanct wont notice but might feel it. He fell to his hands and knees sucking the life out of the area. A loud primal roar came out of him as all of the life in the area was sucked into his body

Megami snickered as he tried to defend his capability to hold his alcohol. “Yeah sure, spiked with your inability to handle it. Leave the hard liquor to the big girls sweetie pie, and go get yourself something fruity.” She shot back, laughing softly. Her laughter dropped short a few breaths when he fell back into defensive mode regarding his appearance. She smiled softly, placing her hand on his shoulder.

“Sheggo, dear, nothing is wrong with your appearance. It’s just different than I am used to. If I showed up here with green skin and wings you would be a little off put.” She bit her lip, trying not to laugh at the image she just put into her own head. “Any who, I know you’ve been trying to get back to this form, I just didn’t ever think it would actually happen. Then to return here after many moons to see you up on the roof stumbling around? I was in a small state of confusion if you ask me.” She gave his shoulder a little shove, but remained holding onto him so he didn’t try to learn to fly and fail by hitting the ground below.

When he asked if his previous appearance was better, she sighed, crossing her arms and sitting back to look at him fully with a soft 'hm' as she thought about it. “No you’re the Sheggorath of my memories. However, the blue-eyed human skin is certainly more appealing. Besides, you seem to have a preference for it.” Megami half smiled and leaned back on her hands, looking over at the path to the water’s edge. Then she sat up and leaned forward, resting her head in her heads as she looked over at him. In her mind she was flipping in between the image of kitty Sheggo and human Sheggo and everything in between. After a few moments she shut her eyes and shook her head to focus.

“No matter what you look like, you’ll always be Sheggorath – my friend. That is, if you still want me to be your friend.” She asked quietly, pulling her legs up to hug her knees and rest her chin on them.

As well as a spark of annoyance igniting in his features a few sparkling white jolts of energy buzzed into existence around him. Apparently he didnt take punches about his drinking lightly. 'Ay guess it must have been a bit of a shock...' he said disinterestedly still sore about her first statement, though her last seemed to release a tense breathe and the illusion dissolved away back to the human form. He finally leaned forwards with his arms supporting him on top of his folded legs. The azure blue eyes stayed staring ahead, so they spotted the suddenly and mysteriously blackening and shriveling trees not too far away. He glanced back at Meg who seemed to have withdrawn inside herself again. With a flicker of a smile he replied, 'after the insults ay dont know if ah should... fek!' he yelped as with a brilliant overbalance and an overly enthusiastic attempt to correct his sideways tilting he slipped over the edge of the roof tiles.

Though before a painful thud could be heard on the ground below a crackling portal appeared a short distance away where he dropped only a few feet onto the soft grass. He looked back at Meg with an almost challenging grin retaliating against her criticism of his age, body and drink management. Then he swiftly moved on, he was curious about what was spontaneously killing off the trees in that one area, and the mixture of being vaguely tipsy and reborn in an indestructible body had given him a good deal of possibly suicidal courage. However he still noticed and stopped when he felt the draining effect after having walked a short distance into the leafy undergrowth. It was a little odd, he guessed whatever it was draining was coming from Saji since he felt like a river estuary colliding with a strong current that was washing away his energy while there was still a river behind himself supplying it. Deciding this probably wasnt something he should prolong he threw up a dark bubble like shield around himself to block the exterior draining effect. But the further in he walked the more threateningly his shield shook, as if the effect outside was trying to break it apart. Thinking and acting quickly he infused the shield with a similar energy to the one he used to break apart the limits of reality when he created a portal. Linking the surrounding dark material of his shield to various dimensions full of energy seemed to stabilize his protection, for now. It didnt take long to spot Grey down on the ground surrounded by grey and blackened plantlife, though Shero also noticed a few dead insects, birds and rabbits lying around too. So it was definitely life he was draining, but why? He decided to try asking and yelled over the noise, 'Grey! Whats happening?? Can you stop?'

In the slightly less dramatic mind of Yuni the honey coloured cat regarded Kai curiously. It relaxed a little as she shifted to less defensive position, though as it grasped what she offered it began to nervously pace. It didnt want to risk what little it had left, but if it had its own body again then it could do whatever it wanted for a change. The felines gran head shook as the voices started to argue amongst themselves, it fixed the bright yellow eyes back on the winged women and asked simply, what are the chances? And what is re-calibration?

Grey heard a voice near him,He turned his head to Shero with his eyes closed tightly "Death will befall us all unless i do this" He kept sucking the life out of everything. He jerked upwards breathing in. A blast of mental energy exited him,He breathed heavily as he stood up on his own. Grey looked down at his leg not feeling the pain of it anymore "im alive......" He turned "I may be pure but Omega still flows through me and unless you want me to kill everyone i have to do this" He picked up his sword "sorry for the trouble but the place can heal itself right?" He said looking at the damage he caused

Shero staggered a bit from the psychic wave explosion hitting his already unsteady balance and made a mental note, next time he found someone doing something strange like sucking the life out of a patch of forest he should keep his minds defenses up. He leaned one hand against his own shield and tried to focus enough to stop his head spinning as Grey stood up. The pale blue eyes still regarded him curiously, 'this seems a drastic way to stay alive, but ay guess its a little late to find any other way now.' He scanned the hollow of wooden and flesh corpses and spoke with certain uncertainty, 'er, well ay would say maybe Saji could help, but after that little previous event involving me ah think shes running on low energy reserves. Ay'm not sure ah'd want to ask if she could either, so this bit of woodland will have to regrow itself. It'll probably happen faster than expected.' His wandering mind flashed back to a friendly nature goddess that used to reside there and he wondered if she still left an effect on the islands greenery. Shero then turned his attention back to Grey and casually folded his arms, 'You wont need to do this every week though will you? We might have a problem if you do.'

((( Way to leave the girl alone on the roof, ahhaa. razz )))

Megami was sitting on the roof, lost in thought when suddenly she was alone. She turned sharply towards the sound of footsteps, only in time to watch him disappear into the trees. She sat there, confusion taking over her crimson tinted eyes completely. It was a few moments before she took in her surroundings completely, noticing the changes to the trees before her a little ways away. She became worried, and a bit curious. But no amount of curiosity gave her the effort or courage to get up and figure out what was turning the trees different colors. She shook her head, writing it off as nothing but another strange occurrence by the Sanctuary.

She looked back at the spot Sheggorath had previously occupied and sighed, hoping he wasn’t getting into trouble again. With a shrug she stood, raising her arms above her head to stretch out her limbs. She groaned as a few vertebrae through her spine popped and cracked, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly through her system. After stretching, she shook herself to wake up the nerves in her legs. Meg took a deep breath and reached up, untying her blonde hair from its restraints and letting it fall gracefully down her back. It had been a while since she cut it, and it fell down to her hips, framing her hourglass figure almost perfectly in the sunlight.

Megami picked up her bag and tossed it over her shoulder again, peering over the edge of the roof. A playful smile crept onto her face as she took three long steps backwards to fling herself forward onto her hands, springing herself back into the air. A joyful giggle escaped her lips as she flung herself through the air, her blonde hair flying out behind her. When she landed on the ground she bent her knees to take the impact gently. She had a goofy grin on her face as she sat down against the wall of the Sanctuary, laughing like a child. Her crimson eyes shone bright while she laughed but slowly dimmed again as she calmed down and fell silent aside from her soft breaths.

Her cool skin pressed against the warmth of the building behind her, reminding her of all the hours she had spent on the other side of this very wall, staring at the fire. Her eyes closed as she let herself get lost in the memories of whiskey, laughter, tears, silence and obnoxious noise. A slight smile danced across her lips as faces appeared in memories and friendly tones joined her thoughts. She nodded to herself, making up her mind that she would stay a little while if she was welcome. Something about this old place just felt… right. After a while she stood up again, fixing her lengthy blonde hair so it fell behind her shoulders and down the small of her back. Megami looked back at the trees with a hint of worry, wondering where Sheggorath had disappeared to and if he was getting into any trouble again. She shrugged, turn towards the door and closing the few feet of distance between her lounging spot and the doorway. When her hand touched the metallic knob, she turned slowly to the sound of approaching footsteps. She tilted her head to the side in curiosity and took a step back from the door to face the source of the sound.

Only slightly less dramatic... There was a sulking kitten in the murky darkness of her mind, energy signature flickering like an outraged flame. Kai would let her be for now, her attention focused more on the conversation she and the cat were currently having. Dark eyes followed the pacing feline, ever patient for a response. When she got the answer, her transparent projection shrugged.
Chances of success are between fifty to sixty-five percent. Recalibration is where I adjust certain properties to increase that chance of succes in the next round, when I see what went wrong and how.
