I get the feeling we were bawling for different reasons.

I feel bad cause I always identify with Queen Beryl lol

I was just disappointed with this episode in general.

By Venus not killing Beryl? (which is what I was waiting for since the beginning)
Or the generals being saved literally just to die 2 seconds later

both.
but also how the scenes were handled.
in the case with beryl, the necklace thing was just stupid. as far as I remember, Beryl was revived independently of Metalia and found her in the north pole. there's no logical reason for her life to be connected to Metalia's energy.

the situation with the generals/kings/shittyeno was just terribly handled. we're told that they and the senshi/guardians/soldiers/whateverthenewwordis were lovers, but the only one that felt remotely plausible was Venus and Kunzite. then of course there's the "fight scene" where the guardians get their collective asses kicked. again. and then they start WAILING after the four kings of the dragon's balls were killed, just to 5 secs later be like, "ok lol let's go".

really, the only good point this ep was Mercury finally being useful.
