LOL that was interesting.

You guys play interesting games!

yeah it helps us understand better the frustrations of being deaf in a hearing world to push us more in learning ASL. Monday night at church there was a whole thing explaining that the hearing in our congregation need to stop talking and start signing. He played a ten second clip of someone talking, without sound, and no context. Then asked us what he said. It proved the point that lip reading is really hard. Only 30% of deaf people accurately lip read. I can lip read fairly good but I have to have context. Once I figure out what a person is even talking about I can figure out the details fairly okay. But there's so many different facial muscles I'm watching and every person talks differently. If they don't open their mouth big enough I have little clue. I usually take the sounds that I hear and match it to the face when I watch tv if subs aren't available. I'm not even deaf ><

Then the three little pigs thing was to give us a visual break. Got to just listen and watch some of his acting out but mostly just listening. Learning a language is exhausting. I've been re-learning for two years and what I remember from when I was a kid was an old sign langauge called SEE sign - Signing Exact English. So annoying. But when I was a kid and it changed to ASL I thought it was too hard and stopped learning till recently.

So yeah weird games help what we learn stick

Oh oh oh! I could understand you on this one near perfect! {is super excited} I figured out why I thought short blond with you too! When I was a teen I played with a big family that I practically lived with. One of the thing we did was pretty much LARPing but using Barbie and Bratz dolls as visual aids for our characters. One of my girl friends played the part of a rich girl from the UK and my character was an alien from a distant planet with invested interest in the planet Earth and was a spy. He was her family's butler and never spoke he just did as he was told and in his spare time sent reports back home. Anyways my friend talked quiet and sounds a lot like you when she's doing the UK accent. She was short and blond hair green eyes. This round I could hear you clear enough, maybe my ears aren't as congested as they tend to be or your mic wasn't picking up background noise or something but it's exciting to understand what people are saying biggrin

Ya that would do it.

I think being a lawyer requires more understanding of the law then just a paralegal, but after a while you know a lot.
I also work in fields where it is a lot of filling in blanks and BOOM you have your case. I don't do litigation that requires lots of briefs (my job is nothing like Law & Order LOL, though it could be if I got into that field).
