Umm... Item glitch

My demonic pedant isn't being picked up as being worn for some reason. I have taken it off and many times it still says I can sell it at the shops and put it in my house which you are not suppose to be able to do with equiped items. So what is going on with this?

Operating system: XP

Internet Web Browers: IE 6

ISP Connection: Comcast DSL

ISP connection: 1.3 megabits per second

Firewall/soft ware: Um... None.. xp

It does that for my items as well even when they are equipped on my avatar. I think it's just a general issue.
