I've been doing a lot of bug catching today, and now I can't find any more bugs in any of the areas. Is there a limit on how many you can find in a day or is this a problem with the site/my computer?

Yes, there are limits on how many bugs you can catch per day. Otherwise people would hunt them to extinction.
This cap resets every 24-48 hours.
