*snugs on Graph* I'm working on learning a little German! I am told I don't need to, many people in Stuttgart speak English, but I want to be able to speak a bit of conversational German at least if I'm going to be there.

I took a few years of German, and found that I picked it up really easily <3 Once you learn your letters and sounds, you'll be able to sound out/spell almost any word you hear or see, because the grammar rules are much more absolute than in English, if I'm remember correctly. It's been a few years since I was in high school XD

I like German, though I find it can be harsh on the throat. I don't speak much, I admit, but my mum speaks it a decent amount and likes to spout off in it at random. SO I had to learn at least a LITTLE from her in self defense. XP

My brother took German in school, and taught me a couple of words. It always sounded harsh to me. Haha.

Then again, to do one of the tones in Chinese, you have to sound pissed. >.<

I'm trying to teach myself Croatian, but I keep forgeting that some of the English letters are pronounced differently than they should be. 3nodding

XD Most people do find German to be an angry sounding language, from what I learned when I took it in high school. Personally, I like it and picked up on it soooo much easier than I did any french or spanish. XD

EDIT:: Will brb. Firefox flash player isn't updating properly, so I haven't been able to play any FB games in Firefox lately. >__> And since I just made a new account strictly for the purpose of making neighbors for myself on my main accounts games... I kinda need it to work in this browser. XD So... Gotta go do the whole uninstall and reboot computer thing.

And I find German can be a lovely language, and not too HARD, just... harsh in the throat, very guttural. My mom once described it as choking on your words, to get me to place the words in the right place in my mouth... if that makes sense. I find I do better with Spanish and Japanese, which are pretty much pronounced as they look... If you know how they pronounce the letters, you can work out the words.
