When I was reading up on everything in the guild I read something about being able to use art from a previous shop so long as the original artist gives permission and the one doing the growing agrees as well? Or did I read it wrong?

Nono. I think you're mixing two things.
One thing is you can base stuff on characters from other shops like a Mixers char cause whatevs, my shop, it's cool. Just make sure it fits.

But the thing with a different artist is if you pay the points to switch to or get art from a staff or guest artist HERE you can change or get different art from your usual artist here.

Like say I drew a character and I do its growth. But someone pays the points to have Nicolai do an art of that character at that stage. And you like it so much, you pay the points to get it made an into the main official art for this stage. I'm still your artist but for this stage, since NIc's an official artist here and did the thing, that's cool.

OR, if you think Nicolai could handle the character better (or just like that art a bit better) and you pay to make Nic your official regular artist, and both me and NIcolai agree to that, WE ARE GOOD TO GO if you have the points.
