Oh, Patmos, I think I took a quick peak at your form. You went with a type of griffon instead? Although instead of an eagle/hawk or whatever, you went with the secretary bird?

Yup yup! I was agonizing over which to do... the Secretary Bird or the Gryphon, and then a friend made a very good point: I could easily combine them.

I've done a lot of drawing gryphons in the fourteen years since I discovered them, and I must say that one of my favorite things about modern gryphons is that you can really put together any bird/mammal combination that springs to mind. Whether that is something more classic like a falcon and a tiger, or something bizarre, like robin/squirrel, or kookaburra/wombat.

But I do believe there are some guidelines for gryphons here, and the simplest combination of raptor/cat is best. :3
