The game is lots of fun if you have a friend or two to teach you! think of it like you're an apprentice, trying to hunt, and your friends are your teachers. each mosnter has their signs and signatures like how they move, what they like to eat when tired, where they rest when wounded, also they pant when tired, you can chop of their horns, tails, break their armout etc, and it's all learned! there's no hp bar for your enemy at all!

the game is all about big a** monster fights, so you'd either love it or hate it~ some people thinks it's just grinding, and in a way, that's true, becasue you need to fight the same monsters several times if you want to upgrade your armour~
i suggest skipping MH3 and go with MH 4, coming out next year. The past complaints has been there's not much story, and MH4 changes that >u>
tho MH 3 has the best tutorials for the games so far if you're solo ing~
