Somewhere out there, there's a planet, minding it's own business. Life goes on in a quiet rhythm, kao live out their lives in peace...

..but something has been changing. Not noticeably, but there's something..off. Things have dimmed. Kaos have begun to vanish. Creatures have been spotted in the less inhabited areas..

Kaopia needs heroes.

What will you do?

Kaos live on a world not unlike ours. Well, unless you count the random deadly monsters, magic, assorted races adapted to using magic, and the fact that some moron named it 'Kaopia.' That'd be like Earth being 'Humanopia.' Sadly, the name stuck.

So for centuries, the Kaos have lived in relative peace, give or take a small cival war here and there. But in recent years, unpleasent things have taken to dragging themselves out of the dark corners of the world. One of the two moons has been enveloped in dark grey fog. Kao have gone missing. Full-grown Kaos have gone into caves, and come out foaming slightly at the mouth and babbling about eyes and horrible laughter.

From the one inhabited moon, there have been reports and pictures of half of Kaopia slowly growing subtly darker.

Someone needs to do something...

Types of Kao:

Normal: Your average Kao. They're not terribly special, and it's rare for them to have any magical talents. They usually have animal attributes, but it's rarer to find them looking like an actual species of animal. From Earth, anyway. For example, a magenta cat with pigtails. o_O Common.

Wingleians:

Obviously somewhere near the back of the line when names were handed out, these Kaos have wings of any sort. They typically have the ability to use practical magic, but not terribly well. They might, for instance, be able to create a small light, or heal small wounds. Uncommon.

Subtypes:
Bird (Uncommon)
Element (Rare)
Insects(Uncommon)

Elementals:

Not just any normal elemental Kao. While other Kao may be able to start a fire or have a prizewinning vegetable garden, these Kao would in comparison burn down a forest and then another would grow it back.

Uber-rare - only one of each element.

Nightmares:

Kao have seen these lurking in places where no sane and / or normal Kao would dare to live, or really stay for fifteen minutes. Tales of these are rare and typically end with 'and then I got the hell out of there' so it's generally accepted that if you meet one, you probably won't be able to tell anyone about anything except the way you are in small bite-sized pieces.

Angels:

These are just legends, right? Because there's no survival reason to having long blonde hair, glorious whiteygold wings and a voice like seven crystal bells. The bits about smiting evil with glorious Fire of Righteousness has something going for it, though.

Royals:

Exactly what they sound like. Kaopia has a multitude of kingdoms, usually just large enough to lay down in. Royals are typically just normal Kao with nicer stuff.

Character:

In an odd phenomena, some kao inexplecibly look just like famous people / pokemon / dogs. Some scientists have dubbed this condition Whorus Goldus.

You don't technically adopt a kao. If you're going to be roleplaying it a lot, you're watching it. Through a sort of ... interdimensional tv. Or something.

If you're not gonna rp it a lot..well..you're still watching it. Yay.

--Flatsales

Flatsales will go as follows: I will (most likely) announce the date in advance, and then on the day of the flatsale at the specified time I will post something in green text along the lines of 'go!' whereupon you will try to be the first to post which kao you'd like. Go by the appearences, not by the numbers I put on them, so I know you've read this.

For example:

I would like the green parrot kao!

Flatsale prices will pretty much always be below 3k apiece. Commons will be around 1kish, and the price will be slightly more depending on rarity.

Usually for the really rare ones. Will start at 3k with a varying autobuy. Just your usual auction really. 10-minute snipe guard.
