lol so it was sealed with something shiny, doesn't surprise me, how can anyone say no when their OCD will basically just make them pounce on the rings and say yes? XD

They are adorable, it was a nice tribute they gave.

I never was a fan of Star Trek (the other generations) but it was Spock that made me fall in love with the original Star Trek, after that, I just could never get into the newer generations, they didn't have Spock so nothing drew me into the show like the original did when Spock was there.

Swashbuckling Sentai

Spock made multiple appearances in next gen, as did Sarek.

Also, the original lacks Q

I know they made apperences (only episodes I have watched) but it wasn't something to make me sit down each week and watch it unlike the original.

And I must admit, Q is awesome but then I love John De Lancie but still, couldn't really get into it, I wanted to, gave it a good try but still wasn't able to fully, i could watch an episode here and an episode there but I couldn't sit down and watch the show like I could with the original.

Swashbuckling Sentai

I'm the opposite. As much as I luved and always will luv Spock, there are few episodes of the original I can sit through more than once (I still really like the two episodes with Khan, will always be the best imo). It's just so campy and there's so much of the same thing over and over. To me, the original wasn't really able to truly shine until the movies.

But I am a huge fan of Patrick Stewart and the growth of Picard and Data through the seasons always keeps me watching. It wasn't just about exploring and discovering new people, but also about discovering what you didn't realize was there in yourself. It just felt a lot...deeper to me, like Gene Rodenberry was more able to get his message across with next gen than with the original.

I mean, I like and enjoy both, and I also liked DS9 (though the soap opera aspect of that one drives me nuts) and Voyager, but Next Gen will always be my favorite.
