The US black population is 12.4%.
If we multiply 12.4% by 365.25 days/year, it comes out to 45.291 days/year that should be dedicated to "black" history.
It seems interesting that February, the shortest month, was chosen.
This, of course, means that the White/Asian/Native* months (note: plural) that is, January, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December make up a higher percentage of the year than they do the population.
Any thoughts as to why? Is this a good thing?
*Oh yeah, I'm sooo insensitive leaving out Mexican or whatever. FALSE. That isn't a different race, those people are a subset of Caucasians aka as White people.
