Somer, unnoticed on her safe perch on the rooftop, decides she can take no more of this fight. True, her friends were winning, but a little more flash might keep any other challengers at bay. She calls upon some of her personal stores of energy to manipulate the air around the ring of fighters. The wind picks up around them, going from a gentle breeze to something that resembles a tornado. The sand picks up and the wind pushes the crowds back, gasping and frightened. The remaining Riskallion looks around uncertainly, outnumbered with no escape. The sky does not grow dark, but the whipping wind and sand encircling them grumbles low, like thunder. Somer mumbles something to herself, concentrating on her little show. Suddenly lightning arcs out of the thrashing wall of sand, connecting with the witch's victim and striking him dead. As soon as it had come, the wind was gone again. Satisfied, Somer cautiously climbs back down the ladder. And yet again, somewhere in the distance, a little bit of the world fades away.

OOC: Okay! I skimmed the last posts and assumed there was one or two remaining. MOVING THE HELL ON.

Damn magic types. Talis thought. Like most of her people, she shared a healthy dislike for magic. She preferred the reliability of using her own strength, rather than magic, which was just as likely to kill you as it was your enemy.

Despite this, she stood and brushed off herself. She looked around at her team mates, automatically counting them up and mentally cataloging their injuries, an old habit from when she was a guard. As her eyes ranged over her comrades, she saw a flash of midnight blue colored scales disappear into the crowd.

Could it be...? Talis flicked a glance at the group, checking to see if no one was watching her. While everyone's attention was diverted, she quickly inserted herself into the crowd, vanishing into it completely after only a few seconds.

((Yay for spring break. I actually have time to post.))

OOC: Sorry for ruining Talis's fun. XD Hopefully we can get some posting in during the spring break. Things are slow for me at work during this time.

Crowds rally and cheer as the show grows more gruesome, apparently more enthralled by the gore then intrigued by the magic. As the dust settled, the sands making way for some semblance of visibility, Luna's hands drifted down from her face, brushing the sand and dirt that was kicked up from their witch's spells. As soon as she could, eyes fluttering open, ears flickering side to side, the sounds of grieves and hard leather soles came rushing from all angles. Very familiar sounds.

"Halt!" a booming voice vibrated over the crowd. Luna's eyes shot up, then frantically swept the roof tops. In matter of moments, they had been surrounded by what had to be twenty to thirty masked female guards.

"Harceleur! Saisir!!" the same voice commanded as the crowd quickly, chaotically dispersed, the woman shouting the orders coming into view. It wasn't more than a second before Luna found herself forced to her knees, her wrists clamped together in metal cuffs, her weapons quickly stripped from her as the other Harceleurs fell upon her allies, unknowingly leaving one from being captured, Talis. Luna's head twisted about, watching the madness around them ensue, people nearly trampling themselves to get out of the guards way as they apprehended Stoic, Somer, and Ryu. ((sorry guys!))

Quickly enough, her head snapped back, a forceful hand gripping her scalp and yanking the girls skull forward, her clenched eyes slowly opening again to the very clear, very sharp view of her old den mother, Madam Ethelinda. The same violent instructor the group had seen earlier in the day, prior to this skirmish they had partaken in.

"Outsiders... arrive by morning and start brawls in the streets by late afternoon?" Her eyes, fiercely calm, the yellow edges of this Fierra's eyes shimmered in the sand, her thin, serpent like pupils quickly glancing past each of the members before focusing on Luna. Nothing more than a quirked eyebrow was shown before she turned to the guards. "There will be no trial, there will be no disputes. They are to be executed by midnight tonight."

The guards didn't speak a word, only yanked the four up to their feet and escorted them down the street to a barred carriage that had been waiting for them.

((Nooo, Somer, not yet! I swear, this is going somewhere! I think. And Talis running off just made it even better!))

"We didn't start anything! We just finished it!" Somer snaps at the woman in command. "They attacked us and we're being executed for defending ourselves?" Deeply annoyed by the inconvenience of being seized, she struggles against her bonds. In all the mad events that made up her life thus far she had never been arrested. The guard has to drag the witch, spitting and cursing, to the carriage. Another guard aids the first in tossing the strangely dressed outsider gracelessly into the carriage. Stay out of trouble, she warns her companion, And find us before dark. The woman continues to yell about the injustice of it all in hopes that while she has everyone's attention, Naki will escape without notice.

Nakisisa, as per Somer's bidding, slips away unseen in the form of a wee mouse.

OOC: Okaaaaaaay~

Ryu did not resist the guards, although it would have be no large issue to him. He calmly scanned the crowd until he saw Sayuri who had avoided capture due to not participating in the fight.

With out words she knew exactly what he wanted her to do, and used Somer's outburst to avoid attention as she reluctantly dissapeared into the crowd as it scattered. ::Ryu.. Don't be reckless.::

Ryu watched the Ethelinda carefuly, he has seen what she is like and knows her type well enough. "Somer, thats enough. It is true we caused trouble shortly after arriving here. The guards are merely doing their job."

Wheezing Codger

"Doing their jobs?!" Stoic whipped. "D-doing--" he heaved at the braces and bruises as they shoved, prodded, and yanked him down the pathway. "Whose side are you on, Ryu?!" he huffed as they forced him into the carriage last, seating himself across from Ryu. He grumbled to himself as he tried to come up with a plan.

"Hey..." he looked around, back straightening as he drew her face closer to the barred windows, "Where--" but paused as the guards snapped their attention to him, "are.. we going?!" playing it off as if he wasn't about to mention the unfamiliar face that had jumped into the fray when he needed it most. A bead of embarrassment drew against the lines of his chin before abruptly turning furious, hoping to drive away any suspicions from their minds.

In fear that something else might slip, he heeded the guards intense stare and quietly sat himself down on the bench of the carriage before feeling the tug of the horses, the carts hard wooden wheels crunching the sand beneath it against the stoney floors.

OOC: Woohooo!!! We're moving!! Both in the RP and the RP itself! Get it?! woo... hilarious, i know.

Her head hung from her shoulders as she tried to cope with the immense, spiking pain that was drilling through her temples. Immediately after Ethelinda met eyes with her, that flicker of an eyebrow, Luna's migraine sparked like a wild fire, the insides of her head pounding as she was dragged to the cart. And here she sat, silent as the cart drudged onwards towards their fate.

Luna pondered, through the thick of the fog in her mind, she pondered. What was their purpose, this headache, the string of events, her past. How do they relate to one another? Why bring everyone into this when they were just going to be executed regardless.

She grit her teeth as she slowly swung her head trying to shake off this pain.

Hell if I know... but if that's was the master plan all along... her eyes, the wolfish look on her face, I'll confront her. Je vais la tuer!

And within moments, the pain lifted. Was that the answer? Confrontation?

Was this a lesson or a trick? Either way, there were no other leads.

Her head slowly rose as she turned to the gates of the carriage, watching Ethelinda stare at the cart as it drove off, before turning and doing signature hair flick.

First things first, she thought as they approached the her old stomping grounds, the Harceleur Order.

((Thank you for posting, Thrust! And everyone, I've been flip flopping between Fierra and Fiera. I'm going with the one "r". Just decided to make a PSA... okay thanks. 3nodding ))

Somer's fury vanished as quickly as her little sandstorm had, and she sits quietly in the carriage for the rest of the ride. Taking in the scenery around them, she wonders if she should will herself awake or break them out of the carriage. Was this a construction of her own mind or someone else's? Perhaps it was a collective consciousness as she initially thought. "So..." she starts, "What should we do now that we have been sentenced to death?"

Ryu smirked as he ignored Stoic, and answered Somer. "I guess we rely on the justice system proving us innocent. 'Everything' will come to light when we face our judge. Who I assume will be that woman who ordered our arrest, she seems perfectly reasonable" He glanced over at Luna, who till a few moments ago had looked to be in a deal of pain.

Sayuri watched from an alley way as the group was forced into the carriage. She knew what she needed to do but she was not used to such things, and was unsure how to go about freeing her friends. She decided to look for the others that escaped, hopefully they will know what to do.

Wheezing Codger

His chains jingled as he rolled his shoulders, "Judge? Didn't you hear her? She said that there would be no trial." His yellowish eyes glinted at the passing light that shined though the grates of the carriage, a twinge of panic in his voice.

Attention turning to Somer, then to Luna, "We have a chance, right? Luna? You're from here. Can we--," he hushed his voice as to no let he guards hear, "can we come up with something?"

OOC: from my iPhone! Work is boring! [/c]

"Calm down," she hushed, angling her head so her eyes could pin a button on Stoic's loud exclamations. The corner of her lip curled between her teeth as the carriage came to a halt; they had arrived.

Darker in the shade of the Harceleur's fortress, the thick, wooden gates rose to allow entry for the cart. The fortress itself wasn't much more than a decently sized building, only stacking up to 3 stories tall. Behind it, as they had already visited, was the "scrap yard", as the more senior or seasoned professionals called it. But the gem of this establishment was not the decorations on the walls, the buildings structural or architectural integrity. No, it was the underground network that only the Fiera Harveleurs had knowledge of. Being as grand and open an area as it was, dug in sand, would be too difficult a task for any amount of resources, hands, or masons to accomplish. However, the glyphs on the walls denote a civilization long extinct, but occupying the same area Callisto was founded.

History aside, the group made their way into the shaded courtyard, the gates closing with a loud crash behind them. The walls surrounding the building seemed far too tall to jump over, but not impossible to climb, yet the guards surrounding the area would ensure that escape would prove impossible.

The carriage, again, stopped, the gated doors swung open, and the guards escorted the prisoners into the building.

Upon entry, a rather lush foyer awaited them, or lush to the standards of Callisto. Thick, cold stone walls surrounded the red carpet below, slits for windows shed only the tiniest bit of light until you reached the second floor; assuming, if you were to leap from, keeping your legs in one piece wouldn't be completely impossible, but again, once reaching the sandstone ground below, guards would most likely be waiting to finish you off. The smell, oh how the smell brought so many unsavory memories. The smell was odd - nearing on the brink of dried flowers, popery, and regal, posh colognes/perfumes, mainly due to the order's ministers attempt at making the place presentable to clients as well as the smell of the clients themselves.

It wasn't long before they descended down a flight of stairs to their dank, dark cages that would serve as their new homes. The guards split the captured into two groups, male and female, for obvious reasons. First, Somer was shoved in followed by a staggering Luna, the headache starting to arise again. Luna stumbled in, catching a toe on the cracks of the stone below their feet, hitting the sandy brushed ground rather clumsily before rolling to her side, her shackles already taken off. The gate shut and she sat up, noticing the cold, cement like walls surrounding their tight, dark, stale aired cell.

She clenched her teeth as she tried to remind herself of her plan, and slowly, the headache started to subside again.
