The Early Chronicles

During the time of moonless nights and sunless days, humans were isolated from the rest of the world. A quarantine to the spiritual realm, so that the stain of mortals would not tarnish the benevolent shades.

Such is the nature of humans however, to set off to new horizons; and so, the mortals quested across the new land, in hopes of finding riches and royals far beyond their wildest dreams. The shades soon took notice of the mortals ambitious nature, and mounted a swift offensive to stop it.

The humans, powerless against the might of the spirits, were decimated in the destruction. Volaria, Goddess of light and holiness, saw the injustice in this act, and decided to create a refuge for mortals, so that they may carry out their free will and adventure in peace. This refuge is The Tioma Dominion.

The Age of the Reborn

The mortals, unshackled by the rule of shades, created a world with rules and boundaries of their own. Volaria, in her wisdom and grace, blessed them with creatures to hunt and fire to warm, rain to feed their crops and sun to warm their faces. Soon, within the next hundred years or so, the mortals had created societies, cities, and civilizations.

When the waters of Cantil receded, and the shade's influence was lifted forever from the mortals, life and tradition began to blossom, mixed with the spirituality of the environment, and soon, temples dedicated to the old gods arose from the soil, a testament to the ever-watchful eye of Volaria, and her demi-children.

Settlements of humans, wanting to branch off from the rest, also blossomed, and soon, entire races were born, evolving and adapting to the always-changing domain.

And now you, mortal, are called upon to begin your own adventure; for that is the gift that Volaria has given us. Relish in your freedom, and ascend to the high ranks of your kind, for your name shall be sung in the Heavens, so that my brothers and sisters may know of your glory.

Rules

2) This is a Semi-Literate Role-Play. Please, under these circumstances, use COMPLETE SENTENCES, and no less then a paragraph per post.
3) Please send ALL PROFILES to DuskSpirit OR Skyly Miyu and wait until your profile has been accepted to begin posting. Title the profile PMs "A Mortal of Tioma". Put a ninja emotion in the beginning of the PM to prove you have read these rules. Follow the profile skeleton posted on the profile page.
4) Profiles will be posted in the profile thread. Link to this thread is in the very first title post.
5) Please keep all Out of Character (OOC) speak, aside from small explanations at the bottom of posts if needed, in the OOC thread. Link to this thread is in the very first title post.
6) Direct all questions and requests to either DuskSpirit OR Skyly Miyu.
7) When attacking fellow members of the RP, and rolling for anything in the encounter, instead of stating the roll, place a _________ in the action; (Rolling for ______). Once you have made your final post, then change it.
8 ) New rules may be added when needed.

Instructions for "Dice" Posting

In order to add a slight amount of realism, a "dice" post will be used for major attacks and, should you wish, major storyline actions. For example, if Knight Rolf decides to attack the Indecent Rogue, Knight Rolf will begin with a "Dice" roll. In order to execute this roll, the Gaia User should direct his or her attention to the POST ACTION bar on the right side of the posting screen. Select 'ROLL DICE". For "Die Size" select 20 sided. For # of dice, YOU MUST CHANGE THE 0 TO 1. In your actual post, begin by saying what you intend to do. For example: "ATTACK ROLL". Then, follow the post action directions, and select SUBMIT.

After submitting the post, proceed back to EDIT your post, and take into account the number you have received on the dice roll. For example, rolls 2-10 usually result in a miss. 11-17 result in a hit. 18-20 a critical hit. And 1, a critical fail.

Use all of this information to your own discretion of course, but please be fair.
