Speaking With: N'yada Kisara & Daemon Rosemont

The group of four shuffled into the room. Ariel had picked out four people... Kain had asked for three, but N'yada was going for a different reason. She looked at all of them, smiled as warmly as a person in her position could, and said, "Daemon, you and the other three are to go to the Amick District and speak with Kain Ecanis. Give him this note." She handed it to him. "Do not read it." She demanded. "It will be explained when you arrive to speak with Lord Ecanis."

Ariel moved back around her desk and set herself gently in her seat. She was eager to see how things turned out... It was a good thing to see Kain asking for aid, for it demonstrated trust in the allegiance. Ariel was a little more hesitant than Kain was to ask for things, but the mere fact that Kain wasn't shy about it showed that he considered The Chantry to be a very helpful resource.

"You may leave now."

Speaking with: Ariel Wyant---Awaiting Lord Ecanis

Daemon walked in with the others and listened, not quite sure he had heard the woman right. It was a commonly known secret that things were changing for the time being, but- He smiled when Ariel handed him the note. It was his place to do as he was told, so he sure as hell wasn’t going to look at the note. He tucked it into his pocket, just over his heart. Anyone trying to reach for it would be getting a head butt to the face.

When they were dismissed, they all filed out of the office. “Well, my curiosity is definitely all abuzz, how about yours?” He smiled to N’yada.

N’yada returned the smile. “I am curious as well. But I’m sure I’ll find out what I’ll be doing once we get there. Let’s go.”

Within the hour, the four of them were standing in the hall at Castle Viridian. They were met by Kain’s special steward and escorted to the office, after being assured that Lord Kain would be in shortly after returning from an errand.

Curiouser, and Curiouser…

Very modest actually Aine. Meeting me one a week to talk for a minimum of three hours on numerous subjects. In addition I will not speak to Aliza without Finn’s permission or unless she seeks me out.

The terms were more than fair, it was actually a steal of a deal in his opinion. He was going to have to do something about security however, people were getting into his offices without much hassle. He was thinking steel doors with wards. Yes… that would work nicely.

Now then, if you two are finished acting like fools, why don’t you sit down and let me finish what I was telling Kain. Unless of course you’d rather continue wrecking my office and racking up the bill I will send you.” The door itself was going to cost a fair bit to replace, and he was sure the guards were unconscious or electrified.

Aine raised a brow. “That has yet to be decided…” After all, he hadn’t provided one speck of proof for anything he had to say. When he mentioned the bill, she smirked. “I paid for the guards. They’ll be fine. Do you think I would have sent you guards that couldn’t withstand a little abuse?” They were already stirring in fact, and looking rather embarrassed they had been caught unawares by such a small person.

As for the door…She gave it a look, she’d punched it, not punched through it. A dent…That was so difficult. Something flitted about in her mind, a little fun from that voice in her head and she smirked, her hand moving in such a way that helped focus her intent and the dent popped right out. “I’ll send a painter tomorrow.”

She moved and took a seat, staring unblinking at Vorlander. “And given the fits I can throw, I’ve not even been a breeze through this office.”

Finn listened, watching Aine and Vorlander bicker among themselves, but at Vorlander's suggestion, Finn was the first to take a seat. Kain followed his lead. the two of them sat and waited for a small break in Aine and Vorlander's conversation, and once it was found, Finn spoke. "Aine. Please sit down so I can finally find out who the hell I am to Slade." It was more than that though. Whoever he was to Slade was who he was to the rest of the world as well. It made all the difference to Finn, but if it wasn't too important, it wouldn't be quite as important to the others. It would only satisfy their curiosity.

Kain pulled out a chair for Aine and gestured to it. He wanted to know as well. Finn wanted it so badly, it made Kain want it as well. It would be a year long hunt finally over... Partially. There would still be questions.... But until then, Kain and Finn were giving Vorlander their undivided attention.

Your plan is ambitious my Lord. But you’re going to have to do more than send demon summoners there, no offense ladies.” He nodded to Evelyn and Cynne before turning his attention back to Slade.

The tribes are proud and each of them unique, trying to conquer them like slaves will never be enough, they’ll despise and hate you, they’ll never serve.

Which is exactly why you are going Droston, as my representative and ambassador.” Slade grinned wickedly at Droston as his mouth dropped open in shock.

But why? I could easily turn them against you.

You won’t. Why do you think I’m sending these four with you? This is your first true test of loyalty Droston, besides, you have an air of diplomacy. You are exactly who I need to get their cooperation.”

Droston could see the plan now, sending the five of them out of Drathia would give Slade breathing room, there would be little risk of him losing his life to the contract if none of them could start anything. Making Droston the ambassador would make him commit to the task, and having Cynne and Evelyn there would make him complete it.

He could see why Slade was proud of the plan. He nodded, "Very well my lord. I will see this done for you"

His body had such a sweet ache. Sunnifa was strong. Lannister had always known it, but after seeing her body, he hadn't expected her sexual vigor to rival that of her enthusiasm in battle. His hips were pleasantly sore, his legs delightfully suffering, his back, wonderfully throbbing... And then Sunnifa was clothed and out the door. She had said she had wanted to do it again, and then said to wait until after they had met with the red lady.

"...Better hurry the ******** up then." He said to himself, quickly standing and jumping under the water to rinse. She had taken the towel, so he was forced with one option... He opened the door and ran down the hall to his room, then slammed the door behind him. Sunnifa was there, but he saw no reason in covering himself now. He ripped the towel from her, dried himself, and then slithered into his his clothes.

The sooner they met with Aine, the sooner Lannister would be able to have sex with Sunnifa again. "Let's go."

"Fine," Cynne sighed, she smiled for a bit of fun. The woman was boiling inside. To be sent to Mahimā Kṣētra, another couple of islands while the b***h that longed for Slade inside of her and had even so much as gotten him to agree to place the illegitimate child in the same walls as her own, lived within Drathia and still walked the mortal plane. Somehow, that child had escaped her notice after their marriage. That was the only reason she was bothered, he may get it in his silly man-head to find another and it would be a headache were it a son. A daughter could do nothing directly. Cynne wanted to take care of the root of the problem, but doing that wouldn't give her anymore children, and she wanted at the very least ten more. "But if I return to another living b*****d, I'll take it out on your balls."

She had the tribes to deal with and she was so looking forward to it. Terrowin obviously had nothing worth saying, his head was as empty as ever. Her gaze narrowed at the shifting sands of the map. They needed Vimal and Rishi for those already allied with them and the rest of the continent would prove a very nice army. If only, she could get them to agree to pledge to Slade. Six months to do it, she'd be showing in that amount of time as well. She could only think of complaints and she quickly snuffed them out with ideas around them, being the obedient wife, she was going to ******** an entire continent--of course, she could leave that part up to Evelyn, and turned to the woman then--and Droston spoke up. "Excuse me?"

Cynne blinked, her husband just handing the task off to a traitor and a former enemy, over his own wife. "And I will see his head on a pike first," she snapped.

With all of them finally seated Vorlander smiled, “Now that we are all comfortable, I can begin.” He rose from his chair and closed the door sharply behind them. Once they were in relative privacy he walked back to the group and sat on the edge of his desk.

When I was in the Port Slade took me to a private chamber to discuss terms of the cease-fire. Now according to the contract Kain had me sign, I was allowed to make deals outside of that one by myself. I did make a deal with Slade, and it was a steal of a deal. It required a personal sacrifice but it was worth it.”

He at that moment knelt in front of Finn, “You and Aliza are the last descendants of the Saint King Daegon.

Slade could see this was going to take careful negotiating. “Cynne my dear, Droston has yet to prove himself to us. This is a task that can just that, especially since you are going. He is going to do the negotiations, but you are the final say on whether or not the deal is acceptable. You are my wife, you speak for me in this. But I must know if Droston is capable of serving us faithfully.”

Cynne needed to come to a realization that they needed Droston as much as he needed them. He could give them intelligence on the Families that no one else could. But they needed to know whether or not he could be trusted. He was sure that once he was away from Drathia and surrounded by temptation he would fall lower and lower into their grasp.

"Besides Cynne, I would think you would relish a vacation."

"The barren lands of Mahimā Kṣētra are hardly a vacation spot." Evelyn protested dryly, her tone bored and less than enthused. "And we're going there to meet with a bunch of smelly old men, surrounded by a smelly tribe. Worst. Vacation. Ever." She lifted her feet and placed them on the table, allowing her dress to slide over her knees, exposing her thighs. Terrowin was likely getting the best view of all... And Droston was getting second best. She knew exactly what she was doing, but she looked completely nonchalant about the entire ordeal.

"But if we get to kill a few of them, I'm all for it. Vimal and Rishi sounds like a challenge I would gladly take." She had heard rumors of the island that had found peace. She wanted to try her hand at besting the most strategically advanced military in all of Mahimā Kṣētra... "I agree with Cynne, though." She always agreed with Cynne. "Droston is going to be a detriment to us. The man may have intelligence on The Families... But he's hardly worth calling a negotiator. He's a general. He kills things and he has a reputation for it. If he shows up wearing your colors, they will see two things. A traitor, and a challenge."

Cynne stared at him. "Un-acceptable." He could throw all the amplifae and power in the world he could offer at her. It would do nothing to sway her, she was dead set on beheading him. His supposed worth and fidelity, she didn't see it as he did. "You want the tribes to create an army for taking Drathia, you'll leave it to me. He'll only be useful in Vimal and Rishi, if it comes to that." Mahimā Kṣētra's island would be difficult and she intended on finding everything out about it before she even tried.

The matter of Droston, however, needed to be resolved first. She nodded her head at what Evelyn said. "And you already do have two traitors following them into the jungle," Terrowin put in his copper pieces at the sight of Evelyn. He was incredibly easy and stopped being obvious about it to hear what the Overlord had to say.

A silence hung in the room. Now all eyes were on Finn... And Finn's eyes were on... Everyone else. "We're Daegon's heirs?" He asked, half a whisper. Kain could see that his mind was reeling. "It explains the book." He said... And that got Kain's interest.

"Book? What book." Finn did not answer, but Vorlander was still kneeling, which gave Kain something else to talk about. "Finn, I will not kneel before you." And it was obvious that Aine wouldn't either. "Not without proof."

"Fine. I wouldn't expect or want you to anyway" The answer seemed honest enough. Finn never showed a desire to rule, and in some way, that made Kain think he would be the perfect person to do so. It was something he and The Saint King had in common.

"But proof is most definitely needed." Kain's attention fell to Vorlander. "You and I are going to pay a surprise visit to Slade." He demanded. With the cease-fire active, there was absolutely no reason to fear going to meet with his greatest enemy. "I will have the Grid opened once more. But until then, I must prepare." Kain stood and left the room with one last glance, immediately to be approached by a messenger with a letter marked with a familiar symbol.

Kain headed to his office and found four Chantry members waiting. "I read the note. Which one of you is N'yada?" He asked, and two of them pointed to a dark skinned girl with unnaturally gorgeous eyes. "You've been assigned as a representative for House Armand." Kain jotted a very quick note that explained the allegiance Kain had formed with The Chantry, and why N'yada was there. Then he handed it to her. "Go find Aine Aiyana. She should still be in Vorlander's offices... Ask anyone where to find it. It's the gaudiest building in the city... You can't miss it."

He turned to the others once she was gone. "You three are assigned to Vorlander Solaris. I asked for three Chantry members to spy on him because Vorlander has a habit of manipulation. He can strike a deal with normal people and then they are under his thumb... So I wanted people that could be trusted not to make deals. That is why you are here. Vorlander Solaris and I are going to be taking a trip to The Port soon to talk with Slade. Once we return, you will begin spying on him. You will write reports to both Ariel and myself on Vorlander's activities. Every deal he makes, everything he does. Understood?

I have told Vorlander he will be watched... He will be expecting you. You do not need to try and keep your presence a secret from him. You can even hover over his shoulder and sit on his lap if you want to. All I need is your reports of his activities... Any questions?"

She had been in the middle of putting her boots on when Lannister ran back into the room for the towel. Her grin at him was her biting her bottom lip, then she nodded at his go. He seemed eager now. "Alright," Sunnifa skipped out the door and down the stairs to find Dragon. She slowed to walking once they left the inn, stretching her arms above her dripping wet head. She would have to wait for her hair to dry before she attempted to tame it, with a ride on Dragon, that would be rather quick. As much as she looked forward to seeing Aine, she looked forward to the cold air on her ears. She patted them and climbed up the dragon's shoulder, having Lannister sit behind her. She looked over her shoulder at him, speaking to both second rider and dragon, "Don't drop me."

Sunnifa leaned forward a bit to try and wiggle into comfortableness for a light nap when Dragon decided to take that moment to jerk his head and launch himself into the air. A loud smack as her face made contact with the back of his neck, she slapped a hand to her nose and cried. The sleep had been beaten out of her this time. Wide awake, she nursed it until the pain went away and silently glared at Dragon's fin. She was secretly glad it had not gone into her eye, mostly upset she couldn't fall asleep for another hour or so, though she yawned.

Speaking with: Lord Kain

Everyone was quick to point her out. That was obvious. She smiled when Kain informed her of her duty and inclined her head as she waited for the note explaining her presence to this Aine. She remembered hearing whispers of a girl in the forest named Aine, and from the things she had heard about Aine Aiyana of House Armand, she wouldn’t be surprised if they were one in the same.

“I have no questions for you, Lord Ecanis. If you will excuse me, I will go find Aine Aiyana of House Armand.” She left before she could hear what the others would be up to. That was their business, she had a different duty. At least she was being assigned to a female. If she was being assigned to see to a male, things might get awkward quickly.

A few questions had her being handed over to a Captain everyone referred to as Reilly. “I’ll take you straight to Vorlander’s office to speak with Aine.” She only inclined her head and let the man Teleport her to her charge.
