"It's... not your fault... If this is who your are then.... I'm find with that." He started to say while looking off somewhere in the guild hall. "Believe in the choices you make. Don't... let the judging of other hold you back. Always keep looking forwards with your head held high. Because...." Joshua turn more towards the princess but not all the way, just enough so she could see his face more. "There's noting wrong with being true to yourself in front of others."

Kathryn stared into her teacup as he spoke, taking in his words as they were spoken. She Contemplated this for a moment before answering, "Thats good Advice", she smiled. "Thank you", she said softly, feeling abit better now, although she couldn't wholeheartedly agree with all of. Kathryn was not a normal girl, As a princess she could not always be true, especially when everyone has their eyes on you, constantly judging you. A royal court is one of the most suffocating places one could be.

Kathryn's head turned, diverting her attention to another as an unfamiliar voice called out.
"It's a pleasure to see you my lady. I understand you will be our healer on this mission, and I hope Joshua is taking good care of you."

He was familiar visually, oh that's right!, he was with Joshua when she had first met him. If her knowledge was correct, he was the Leader of this guild? "Oh, please the pleasure is all mine, Please, call be Kathryn", she said humbly with a sheepish smile. Setting down her tea cup she got up and curtsied. "Yes, I'am. Today i will be your healer, not your princess, so please make your selves comfortable around me", she assured hoping to make them feel less Obligated to act so formal around her. "Joshua, has been quite cordial", she assured once again.

User Image Al-Zahar finished his morning routine of two finger push-ups, torso stretching, leg-splits and other difficult exercises. The spellblade stood up drenched in sweat and very slightly panting as each nerve twitched. Nothing unusual when it comes to exercise. He then walked over to the table where a basin of water was waiting for him. He was washing himself with a wet cloth right after the Princess’ carriage pulled up in the front of the guild hall. Al-Zahar could tell because he could hear the commotion outside of his small window. It sounded like Joshua and the princess going at it again. As usual, Joshua was as ‘smooth’ as he was when they met yesterday afternoon. The spellblade dried himself with a towel and tossed the remaining water from the basin out the window, making sure no one was outside to get wet. He then stripped naked, folded his common clothes and put them away in the drawer. After which Al-Zahar took out his usual black vestments and blessed each piece of leather armor in the name of his god. After suiting up, Al-Zahar pulled his hood over his head while concealing his face with the veil. He tied his blue sash on his waist then wore his sword, djinn-blade and bag of sand on his hip. Time to seize the day as the phrase goes.

He stepped out of his quarters and walked around for a short while; taking in the entire layout of the guild hall. Al-Zahar’s footfalls were slient as a cat’s. Some guildsmen were surprised that they didn’t hear the new guy come up and pass behind them. It was eerie to say the least how quiet he was. The spellblade apologized for any disturbance his sudden appearance may have given them. He bowed slightly when he passed by the others and continued his walk. It was a while until he reached the common area closest to the front door; where the Princess, Joshua and Cedric shared a casual morning of tea time. The spellblade leaned on the wall right on the end of the hallway where he came from. He crossed his arms and observed the trio in relative concealment. Al-Zahar wasn’t actively trying to hide, but it would be difficult for anyone in the room to spot the blue-sashed man. One supposes that it was natural that any causal person would not see Al-Zahar. Regardless, he was there and was waiting for the go sign from his leader and the others. He didn’t bother to eavesdrop on their conversation and ran the layout of the guild hall over and over in his mind; memorizing it. A wandering thought did however pass into his head.

"Smooth moves Joshua."

tab tab After a series of knocks on all the tavern doors, Myron could only find Kajsa. The survivalist guild leader was sure to have acute hearing, so the scholar assumed his conversation unintentionally eavesdropped upon. That wasn't a problem, but finding everyone else was. Falena was nowhere to be found, probably due to her lack of mass, making her easy to overlook. Leon was also nowhere to be found yet, Myron assumed the ranger was sleeping in the forest, where he was at peace.

tab tab "There... there's an army! And it's attacking! I think? I'm pretty sure! Lael wouldn't lie... and... I don't want to stick around to find out!" Myron admitted hastily. His nervousness and fear could be seen on the outside of his face with ease. Every tumbling or sudden noise outside, inside, or anywhere caused the scholar to flinch and look in that direction. Seemingly he wasn't as prepared to take on an army as his new guild leader was.

tab tab As expected, there would be no lollygagging about with Kajsa around, she was quick to head out of the tavern and begin helping patrons of Eucelid. Two sets of crying could be heard in the distance, one from a baby, and another from a young girl, all of which added to the scene's chaos. Myron followed in suit and out the door, before taking a look around the village to witness the fear mutual in these people's hearts. All the villagers, with the exception of a brave old man on his porch, were scrambling about with luggage in their arms. A few lycans had transformed and began fleeing, almost as fast as a few more people riding on their horses. Many weren't able to move as quickly, such as the elderly, and mothers forced to transport their young. At first, the chaos confused Myron, he forgot which direction was which, and simply watched in awe of the pandemonium.

tab tab "Oh god... wh-what do we do?" Myron mumbled this, turning back to Kajsa for an answer. He'd hear her plan, which was to flee to Tresiel and inform the wardens of this attack. As the idea of running away right then and there did appease to Myron's fear, his morality was still in check, and it forced the young man to shake his head. "But what about these people? Shouldn't we try to help them?" He asked, while clenching his equipment hard.

tab tab It was just too obvious, why the village was in such an uproar. But the chaos disoriented a common mind, made it wonder but gave it no time to. Could an entire village be startled just by Lael's information? Not unless they had been given proof first. And there it stood in plain sight, a Calxan banner laid on the ground, its bottom spear-half soaked in blood. Myron noticed it second, after the bloodied man who sat near the well, a sword wound marring the front of his chest, right above where the banner was likely placed. Calxus had already made a sneak attack, but there were no soldiers to prove this theory. Myron squabbled some more in confusion, trying to stay at Kajsa's back an hoping she could make something out of the situation before him. Before much more of a whimper could elude the scholar's mouth, his eyes widened in terror, as the sky became shades darker. Though he may not have been at war before, Myron understood ill omens. The specks in the sky were arrows, and they'd rain down on the village with the fury of gods, killing all in their path without bias for woman or child.

tab tab For the first few seconds, Myron watched in an adrenaline induced slow-mo as the arrows began to land, many simply stuck out of the dirt, while others hit their marks in the villagers bodies. Something happened, Myron's desire to live kicked in during this adrenaline, and he would waste no time ensuring both his and Kajsa's safety. Quickly, he'd grab a vial of ink from his waist and just toss it right to the ground, letting the black spatter beneath him. The magically infused ink would glow as Myron conjured its essence in to the shape of a round runic circle beneath his and Kajsa's feet. When the runeword was fully complete and perfect, only then did its effects become apparent. The glow would rise up and above the two in a dome, which held enough resistant force to endure the slow volley of arrows. Myron and Kajsa were lucky for two things - the arrows were not meant to slaughter everyone, they fell in slow spread volleys, giving a minimum but apt time for any mages or guardians to prepare defences.

tab tab When the rain of arrows stopped, Myron and Kajsa would be left to watch from the inside of their protective barrier, as all the people who could not defend themselves now laid immobile in droves. Several knights, and other people still hidden in their homes would survive, but many were left dead in the streets. A sickly face stretched across Myron's cheeks as he watched the scene, selfishness surfaced, and true fear got the better of him.

tab tab "Oh god..." Was all Myron could say, before releasing his rune and preparing to flee. He'd grasp Kajsa by the wrist, tugging her and hoping she'd come, and fast. Though he had initially hoped to help the many other villagers pack and prepare to leave, a sense of self preservation forced the young man to focus on his own life. Seeing helpless women and children die before your eyes for the first time often had that affect on someone.

tab tab Myron began to run as fast as his legs could carry him. Looking back once every couple of seconds just out of an immeasurable curiosity. The sound of horses galloping in the distance forced his haste. Calxan cavalry had already begun storming the village as its people scattered in to the Due'ene forest. Myron avoided the road, knowing they'd stick to him by that route. To lose them, the tangled and thick forest path was the only way to survive this situation. Myron just kept running, looking back - or forward - every now and then just to see if Kajsa was still there, and still alive. She was the only one he knew right now, and for some reason he feared losing her now, as if knowing he too might die if he did. The two would be forced deep in to the forest, perhaps to run for hours before finding anywhere suitable to set up camp, if just for a minute's worth of respite. Myron would likely be the one to hold Kajsa back after an hour or two of running. He'd begin to pant, heave even, as he was not as physically kept as the lycan woman.

tab tab Without much of a soul in sight, aside from Kajsa, and perhaps Falena or Leon if they caught up. Myron let himself cling to a downed log when he knew for sure Calxus was off their tails. Heaving was all he could do right now. His eyes might turn to lock on to a comrade's, but he didn't say anything yet, and anything he did say would sound muffled like jibberish.
