Roaven
Soren was glad to hear it, though listened to the rest of Roaven's words with a wary mind. "I can definitely see that. She has you to help her...doesn't she? Maybe her best friend can help too." The one eyed otter concluded as they headed down the stairs. He was eager to give Tesh the undivided attention she deserved after putting up with the young rabbit girl and new crew mate.

Roaven nodded slowly when Soren pointed out that she did have him to help her along. Well, he had to admit, helping people wasn't something he had a ton of experience with. That was the sort of thing more up the alley of those he brushed shoulders with. Not really his type of crowd. He supposed he could give it a shot, though, and she probably needed the help to find her way in the...well, he wasn't sure if it was accurate to call Tesh's band cutthroat, but they were pirates. "I'm sure she'll make it through if she puts her mind to it. She just has to put her mind to it first." He explained.

She noticed Balth stayed quiet to let her continue on with what she knew about the place and how far away it was. "It's a pretty hefty distance from here, I can tell you that. There's no quick way I know of to get you there other than by dragon back, well one of us. And I haven't been there in quite some time to be honest...about fifteen years or so.." The female responded and didn't know how that news would affect him.

Alaniss toyed with the dirt under her foot, hoping they could get inside sometime reasonably soon. She looked at Balth as she thought a bit more though.
"Is there anyone inside that could help him a bit more?" She asked her escort who knew more about this place than either of them did. Maybe there was hope in that.

One of them? Oh dear.
It was at this bit of information that the color had drained from his face, a wave of worry washing over his features.
Surely the suggestion, however, was a hidden offer of perhaps her aid in getting him there?
But... But they were on a date, were they not? the two of the dragons, that was. Surely such creatures would not have set aside their own intents in order to help someone in need.
Or perhaps they would.
After all, he only had one or two very different dragons to reference in his past, and he assumed that dragons varied in their personality just as much as any other sentient individual.

"I- I don't suppose one of you would be willing to take me there? I-I mean. I could always wait until the two of you are finished with whatever it is you are doing..."

User ImageThis made Balthezaar frown only slightly and only for a moment as Åsmund wondered if they would be able to take him. The frown went away when he said it could wait a little bit. That seemed like quite the hefty trip. Maybe this time he should fly alongside Alaniss..whose back would he decide to ride on?

Regardless it wasn't like he cared. Balth nodded in approval and bowed his head lightly in sincerity.
"That can be arranged after some food and a bit to drink, right, my Sweet Lady?" The male asked his partner with a teasing grin at the bit of formal title he decided to set upon her. It didn't seem like such a bad idea to help the fellow out.

If it was that important that he get back, maybe a bit of a reward could be asked of. Though then again there were people he knew of that could help in quicker ways. Teleporting the man, for he knew of a pretty young yet powerful mage that lived on the Island they were currently visiting.
"Although the quickest way would be to travel by sorcery. There is a mage that I know of and she resides here if that is an interest. You could get home quicker and spare us more time if you wanted."

Balth finished and it wasn't entirely that he could tell this man was trying to get home as soon as possible, though that was the guess he was trying to make.

It seemed that Balth also had no qualms with taking the man back to where his home was. As Balthezaar thought, it was a relief that they could wait before trying to take him back home. The pair could just be asses and leave him on the island to rot and pick up a job there. Regardless there was no more reason to stay outside. Alaniss nodded her head and spoke her agreement, but turned towards the Manor's door.

"I agree. We can take you back after we rest a bit. We had a bit of a long flight already. And I'd be glad if you're wanting to accompany me, Balthezaar." Alaniss chided back at Balth just to pick at him. Not that Åsmund might catch it, but she knew Balth would. Or hoped he would. In any case she was ready to go get some refreshments. And soon.

"Alright then. We have our options. The main option still getting some refreshments first. I'm dying for that food and drink idea." She finished and actually put on a smile as her tail started to sway back and forth a bit...just thinking about meat.

Magic.
The human had shuddered at the simple idea of returning to the city by way of sorcery, such a manner being the entire reason why he had found his way onto the island in the first place.Sure, it would have been quicker... Err.
That was, of course, if he could even convince the mage to help him. At this point, however, he didn't exactly have much trust for those caster-types.

"I-Iuh... Appreciate your willingness to help."

Was that the right thing to say again? Perhaps it was the mention of sorcery that left him so frazzled already.

..Drinks.. Drinks sounded appealing, and at the confirmation of the female on the matter of refreshments, hazel hues would turn between the two before before his large hands began to check his pockets for a means to pay for his own share of drink, should they have been comfortable with him at least tagging along for that bit.
He supposed that, if they weren't, he could have always had a table to himself, or sat a few chairs down away from them at the bar or whatever.

Ah. At least he had his wallet. Though peeking inside, a certain thought managed to occur: how far would a handful of Rowean dollars actually get him outside of the city?

User ImageBalth watched as the man shuddered at the option of using wizardry to get him back to his home land, though the answer wouldn't have been blamed either. "So I take it magic is a bad idea to mention then. Fair enough, my apologies." He responded and held out his arm for his escort, ready to head inside finally and get some drinking going.

The fellow probably wouldn't have the chance to use the money in his wallet that he stole a peek into for Balth planned to treat them all anyhow. A round for them all seemed needed. And it wasn't like the dragon male was hurting in any way form or fashion. After Alaniss accepted his arm or didn't, he would lead the trio towards the door to the Manor.

Alaniss stared and blinked at Balthezaar as he held out his arm for her to take. She might as well play the part of them being on a date or else Åsmund might grow suspicious and think one of them was gay. Which it was probably herself that played that target. She watched the human like male with a bit of interest as he seemed to do something on his person. It wasn't her business so she wasn't going to mention it.

The odd female dragon was pleased however that they were finally going to head inside. That made her feel better already and hoped their newest companion would feel the same way. She also hoped that he didn't have too much of a grudge against magic, for Alaniss felt that Balth and herself were creatures of magic. Well, herself mostly. She only knew Balth had some magic. She didn't know how much or that he was a hybrid of sorts.

"Everything will work out.." She decided to mention in attempts to perk up the poor guy. She even cracked a half-assed attempt at another smile.

"No need to apologize, I mean..."
Things kind of happened. They didn't know that it was a mage that sent him there in the first place, did they? It was only natural to suggest such a capable sort of individual to send him back.

But they appeared to brush the situation off, moving along without worrying about any potential issue; which was good really, considering the only issue was that he needed to get back home, and even for that he was willing to wait if it expressed the right gratitude for their aid.

So along behind he would follow the two as they linked arms and headed inside, keeping close but not out-right invading their space if he could have helped it as his wallet found its way back into his pocket.

User ImageBalth actually went up and just opened the door. He would have knocked, buthe was just here not more than 3 to 4 hours ago. He looked at Åsmund curiously though. "No need to apologize? If you say so.." Balth regarded with a smile and let them step into the decently lit room. It wasn't as bright as outside was currently, but it was an ease up off the eyes.

At least to him it was. He hoped Alaniss would like the place. High ceilings everywhere. The place was clearly decorated like a Goth's place; Dim lit chandeliers hung down a bit from the ceiling. Unlit candles on the lobby desk that was currently unmanned by any creature that he could see at the moment.

It certainly was nice to be inside after all that flying. He immediately started to head towards the bar and dining are.

The dragon female would have agreed that it was certainly nice to be indoors finally. Too much wind in her hair. Trying to communicate to the stubborn dragon of "I want to fly you there, it's a surprise" bull-crap. She was attached to his arm as they walked through the doors, looking around and was a bit impressed by the looks of the inside of the place. It seemed cozy in a creepy over the top Halloween sort of way.

She liked that a lot. She also had nothing to say towards Åsmund letting them know they didn't need to apologize for things. She still didn't quite grasp why he reacted that way, but all things in good time she supposed. Alaniss kept in step with Balthezaar as they carried on towards what she expected to be the bar area.

Soren smirked as they headed down the stairs to where he could see a Victoria...and Tesh. "I agree. She will have to learn and all." He answered as they got a bit closer.

And...a group of three others walking in as well. Tesh and Victoria were actually on the stairs watching the trio come in, not wanting to be int he way, but wanting to get a good look and feel for them as well. Victoria was in awe at seeing the darker female have what appeared to be wolven qualities, yet didn't smell of it at all. 'Oh well,' she thought to herself and turned to look at Soren and Roaven, wondering if they were going to catch sight of the dragons before they went to the bar area.

Although it was also a good idea to follow after them. All that swimming around made her very hungry and thirsty indeed. Maybe they could get an inconspicuous spot near the group of them all and catch in on some conversation.

Indoors had already proven to be quite a... different experience.
The interiors were darkly decorated, a clear theme intended with its aesthetic choice, and he could not help but wonder the nature of the establishment's owner. Regardless on whether or not the tastes aligned with his own, he had no real choice but to stick close to the two dragons, unfamiliar with the island itself and lacking any means to actually take his leave.
(Not to mention, they were actually rather nice, and they had given proof enough for him to believe that they meant well towards him as it already were.)
"Well, this place seems... Cozy."

Not exactly the word he was looking for, but it was certainly the most positive comment he had. He wasn't exactly one for the 'dark and dreary' look. He was more in line with the nature-like themes elves often enjoyed using instead.

Depending on where they sat, Åsmund would attempt to join them; if anything, for the comfort of being among individuals he was familiar with in such a location. Especially considering they had eyes upon them.
Oh, yes. He had certainly taken notice towards those that spied them from within the building; more non-humans, and while he had no disrespect towards them, the human was still uncomfortable being surrounded in his defenseless state.

Fortunately for the human, the person in step besides Soren as he descended was, all in all, a rather unassuming man, if anything looking a bit uncomfortable in his attire, used to more....casual, or at least practical fare. He wasn't overly experienced in the way of the vest, for instance. Fortunately, he knew how to be subtle, slipping beside Tesh and Victoria and casting his gaze around, that it wouldn't look like he was staring directly at the new arrivals, though he cast them an appraising glance, once none of them were looking his way. One(apparent) human, two...well, he wasn't entirely sure how to classify them, and he had enough images seared into his mind from his magic sight to want to open it up right now. With how much magic was flowing around this place, it would just be blinding. If the idea of getting food and drink was pitched, he certainly wouldn't object, and a gaze would be cast over at Tesh. Hmm, to make another stab at picking her pocket or not. It was still a matter of pride, but perhaps giving it more time for her to lower her guard would be better.

Eavesdropping, too? Psh, child's play for the sneak. Particularly in such a crowded area, it would be easy to not be conspicuous about it,and the place was swarming with non-humans of all sorts, all plenty more eye catching than a single human in a vest. Assuming they could get seating to cooperate, and the noises of the throng weren't too overwhelming, conversation would be easy to catch.
