This story takes place in the Feudal Era: with demons, angels, monsters, and, most of all, noble clans. The story begins with a noble and powerful clan called the Takashi. The clan leader was blessed with just one child, a little girl that they named Ura. It was a time of happiness and celebration! That is, until the powerful Demon of the Dragons, Ari, came threatening the clan. Even though most of the clan were either demons or half-demons, they could not hope to defeat Ari for many people died trying. They had but one choice: to seal Ari in a child. A newborn to be exact. That unfortunate child happened to be Ura. Ura grew up with looks of hatred from most members of her clan. Only those who were closest to her were quite fond of her and showed her any sort of love. Ura was locked away in her room most days, since her parents didn't want any harm to their precious daughter. As the years went by, other noble clans heard about the demon sealed inside of Ura and sought her out to be destroyed. One noble clan went as far as to kill the entire Takashi clan. However, with the help of the Takashi Guardians, the Takashi's elite warriors, they were able to save and escape with Ura. Many years have passed, and a group called the Elite Counsel has now taken control over everything; including Ura and her protectors. Despite her best efforts, Ura is running out of time: the seal that binds Ari to her is slowly breaking. She needs more Guardians to help her when the time comes for she knows Ari will team up with the Counsel and who knows what might happen then. Only horrible things could come of such an alliance...

bio: They have no parents since they were raised to be Takashi guardians since birth. They are known as the elemental twins. Kain controls fire while Itane controls water. They have been with Ura since they were children so their very fond of her and treat her like a sister at times but they still know their place as guardians.

personality: Danzo is rather rough at first glance, but like his canine ancestors, loyalty is paramount. If he likes you, he'll stand by you for life. He doesn't take betrayal well. Being an alpha dog, he always wants to prove himself superior in everything he does. He gives 110% in every effort. He hates being disrespected, and will growl at anyone who gets him angry.

bio: Danzo was born from a human father and a dog demon mother, but his father passed away before he was born. Living with a pack of dog demons, he soon became the leader due to his skills as a warrior and his immense power. However, his pack was killed by demons, and he had nowhere else to go. The Takashi Clan took him in, but he feels more like a pet than a bodyguard, so naturally, he kinda dislikes them. He's even snarled at Ura from time to time.

bio: Marga was born as the first son of one of the Nobles who tried to killed Ura. He trained hard and quickly became a warrior of near impossible power due to his blood. Marga at the age of 15 was given an order to kill Ura while she slept. When he came face to face with her with his partner he stopped. In one moment lasting nothing more than 10 seconds his whole life changed. Marga the next day bowed to Ura and swore his services until the day he died. He went far enough to seal the deal with a Blood Pact. Meaning no matter what he must obey her orders, he now spends his time standing next to her as her personal bodyguard. His weapon is a double ended Scythe.

personality: Kind of off-standish. She doesn't trust or speak to anyone that she doesn't know. She has been drilled in all of the old ways so she has that whole respect complex... She can be snappy if she's mad or overly loving if she's in a great mood.

bio: Fiercely loyal like her spirit animal, the wolf, Merril comes from a clan that prides themselves on their strategic ability and their swordplay. She's a little bit moody at first, but once you've earned her trust, there is nothing that she wouldn't do to help you. Despite her build, she's a big eater and loves strawberries and chocolate.
She comes from a clan/pack called the Genkai (bloodline). Her parents are the alphas of her pack and members of the high council of the clan. Her father is one of the last members of the Dire Wolf bloodline, her mother is a unique silver and white colored lycan (Merril inherited her height from her father and her fur coloration from her mother). The ways in which the clan work make it a very brutal place to grow up. If you don't have a tough enough hide, you didn't last very long. Every warrior is supposed to have a Partner, a feral Dire Wolf companion that will stay with them all their lives. The partnership is created through the Bond, a type of magical seal that eternally connects the two partners so that they can speak telepathically and, sometimes, see through each others' eyes.
Merril's partner, Yukamaru, is a mute feral Dire Wolf that can take the form of a lycan (if the need is absolute). In his wolf form, he stands at 8'3" tall (from the tip of his ears to the ground). In his lycan form (which is only temporary and requires Merril's consent to attain), he is only 6'10". He has an amazing sense of smell, can run faster than any other Dire Wolf that the clan has ever know of, and can track better than even the best of hunters. Despite his great size, he's just a big pushover. Just don't mess around with Merril. Do that, then things start to get messy...

Personality: Elaina is usually a quiet girl, but she's very loyal to those she deems worthy of it. She's trustworthy and sweet, and tries to help out the best she can.

Bio: Elaina remembers running from something, and that the Takashi Clan had taken her in. Swearing her loyalty to them for saving her life, she helps guard Ura. She thinks of Ura as her best friend, which sometimes gets in the way of her decisions as a Guardian. She can control and make ice, and seems to have a huge crush on Kain.

personality: He can be stubborn at times and its hard to piss him off but if you do he holds a grudge and is very vindictive. Though he doesn't blame anyone from falling from heaven.

bio: Formerly the deity governing over weather, storms, sea travel and harvests. As time passed mankind began worshiping different lesser deities that had specific things they governed instead of a group of things like the old deities were charged with. Time took its tole on Rai-kiri and eventually he was banished to Earth due to mankind's lack of faith. Rai-kiri was striped of all his powers but he managed to hide his power that governed the control of the weather. Now Rai-kiri seeks a new purpose on Earth by serving the Takashi clan after it was nearly wiped out.

Side note: He is not immortal or any stronger than a pure demon because no one prays or gives him offerings.

Ura was in her study going over paper work that the Elite Counsel had set her. Kain stood at the door while Itane stood by her desk helping her with the paper work. Ura leaned back in her chair sighing deeply. "Why do I have to do all of this again?" She asked looking at Kain. Kain just smiled while Itane chuckled. "Because my lady, the Counsel wants you to stamp you're approval on the documents for basically everything. Without you Lady Ura the towns people will not respect and obey them." Kain said with a irritated look on his face. Ura sighed again putting her forehead on the desk. "Basically if they control me then they also control the people living in this town." Ura said this and growled softly. "It's so damn boring..."

Elaina walked into the study, giving a smile to Kain and a wave to Itane. "Ura, it may be boring but it has to get done." She chuckled, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Plus once you're done with this, we might to do something fun, if the twins will let us." She said this more towards Kain, having an idea that Itane would be up for some fun. They might not be allowed out, but that wouldn't hinder anything. Elaina had an odd sense of fun, like playing an instrument or reading a book.

Rai-kiri fell unable to move it seemed to take forever before he finally hit the ground. "No!" He yelled sitting up from his nap. His eyes were wide and he quickly looked around the room trying to figure out where he was. After a minute he realized he was just dreaming and hadn't been back up in heaven. Rai-kiri rubbed his eyes no matter how many times he had that nightmare it always felt so real. Maybe it was his punishment for keeping one of his former deity powers. Rai-kiri's stomache growled telling him he had to eat. That had taken some getting used to. Not eating, he had done that plenty, but he never HAD to eat like he did now.

Rai-kiri headed past the study on his way to get some food and stopped at the door way and waved hello with a yawn. "Morning." He called though it was well into the afternoon. Sleeping was not natural thing and there wasn't a day or night in heaven so he always was the last one up and last one asleep.

Ura got even more depressed and sighed deeply again. "No offense Elaina...But, your version of fun is also boring..." Just after she said that Itane flicked her ear making her jump from her seat. Just as Ura was going to yell at him Kain spoke. "Perhaps we could have a picnic in the garden my lady. I could have the cooks fix your favorite dishes if you would like." Kain said while smiling then chuckled as Ura started to almost drool thinking about food. Itane laughed seeing this as well and then ruffled Ura's hair. "I think that would be a yes brother. Especially since she could start drooling all over the paper work any second now." They then all looked at Kai-Kiri as he walked in. Ura popped her head up with a smile and a wave. "Hey there Rai-Kiri! What's up?"

personality: childish and free roaming, Erling does not take orders from anyone. She loves to tease people, but never means any harm. She has learned to care for others, and is willing is spend her life protecting those she cares about.

bio: Erling comes from a tribe of demons that turn stronger demons into living weapons. She is a master of swordsmanship, but she decided to choose a bow for her weapon. The only demon bow they had for her was an old one which could also double as a pair of broadswords. The weapon is called Misery's End, and gives Erling a specific set of powers on top of her demonic strength. She stumbled upon Ura when she was a freelancer looking for pay. Now she's a permanent addition to her guards.

age: Hikari is an old kitsune, being 102 years old, her apprentice, Inori, is merely 13
personality: Hikari is very good at what she does, and she knows it. She tries to be humble at all times but lets her pride through occasionally. When it comes to demons she remains distantly professional. She sees them as a blight on the world that should be erased. However, there are some demons that get mercy from her, but not many.
Inori is young and naive, thinking there is good in all, even demons. Despite her young age she is quite talented in the skills required for an exorcism. She is very kind, to which it is a fault for someone in her line of work.

bio: Hikari didn't know her family. She was abandoned at a notable shrine shortly after birth. She was raised well by the mikos and monks there. She was versed in all the ways to manage a shrine, as well as perform certain ceremonies. One ceremony she was known to excel at was Exorcisms. In fact, she excelled in all areas of demon slaying as well. So, instead of wasting her talents as a shrine maiden, the people of the shrine devoted her teachings so she could be a travelling demon slayer. She learned very quickly, and as one of the local travelings monks came in, she left with him. He further honed her demon related skills, as well as her combat prowess. Eventually, the old monk died, leaving her on her own. She was prepared now. She spent over half a century travelling the country, helping people with her talents. About a year ago, she returned to that old shrine she was raised at, and found another of her kind there. Inori, who knew her own parents, had wanted to grow up to be a travelling miko, so Hikari took her under her wing, and has been teaching her ever since.
