The story:

The unthinkable has happened: The wild, fantastic warning issued by Commander Shepard, a human of enormous repute among the galaxy, has come to fruition. The Reapers, titanic eldritch machines from the dark reaches of the universe, have finally come. Seemingly hellbent on destroying and harvesting any and all who dare resist them, they have already cut a bloody swath across the galaxy. Khar'shan, homeworld of the four-eyed race of antagonistic Batarian's, has fallen from within; Her very people corrupted and controlled into betraying their very species due to the Reapers sinister influence known as "Indoctrination", a fiendish practice where prolonged exposure to the Reapers, their pawns or artifacts will slowly cause the victim to go steadily insane, hearing the voices and commands of the Reapers and, eventually, eroding their will entirely until only a drone remains. With the fall of Khar'shan, the Batarian's have been reduced to a rudderless amalgamation of refugees, their once formidable standing fleet reduced to a fraction of it's glory.

So swift and well covered up was the attack by the Reapers and their enslaved thralls that the sacking of Khar'shan was little more then a rumor. Humanity would soon find out how true the rumors were, however, when fleets and colonies near Batarian space began to vanish whole-sale, no warnings being sent nor distress calls made. Within days, Earth, one of the mightiest, well defended worlds in the galaxy was hit, full force, by the Reapers. With their governing body scattered and reduced to only their seat on the council, humanity and the galaxy at large were reeling in shock from this sudden invasion. However, not all hope is lost.

Shepard and his famed ship the Normandy has discovered on the ruins of Mars that there is an ancient, powerful weapon seemingly invented by the Prothean's, a race of beings whom left clues and warning about the Reapers scattered about the galaxy, to defeat the Reapers. Shepard and his valiant crew are now off to rally humanities allies and try to find a way to defeat the Reaper menace. To aid Shepard and the galaxy at large, the minds behind the N7 program, humanities most elite and deadly warriors, has initiated a call to arms spanning the galaxy, calling for any and all willing to stand beside the sentinels of humanity in this hour of need. Race, religion, creed, species or agenda, none will be turned away. Petty hatreds and prejudices are being asked to be put aside for the greater good, for if Shepard and the Alliance fails, it would mean the extinction of not only the human race but all sapient life in the galaxy. We, the N7, must be there to ensure that this never comes to pass. Our victories may be small in comparison to Shepard's, our names will likely never go down in history should we succeed and we will be fighting a grueling war against an enemy which knows no fear nor mercy the fanatical terrorist group known as Cerberus...but we will stand strong.

We will be the bulwark for the weak, scattered and the lost.
We will be the hammer that smashes the enemies and disrupts their plans of conquest.
We will be the leaders for the directionless and the inexperienced.
We will bring hope and protection to those whom have lost everything.
We are the Sentinels of this Galaxy and we will not stand by and watch it burn.
We are the N7.
And together, we will send the Reapers crawling back to the abyss from whence they came.

Not totally sure to be honest. Any ideas? I'm thinking Mass Effect: N7 Operations or something along those lines.

Also, story sound good? Any comments or tweeks ya wanna make?

Okay im already almost done making all the little graphics for the thread
next will be the coding
but Im having trouble figuring out what else i should put

I made the intro banner, the rules banner, the story banner, and the members banner.
I dont want to spend to much time going into a lot of detail because ive noticed in other mass effect roleplays they add what weapons you can use and the ship information but i feel like since we are going to have limited crew members it would just be easier to just inform each other what we have/or keeping it in the profile we should be fine

unless you want to come up with a profile for the ship as well xD if not its okay

Hm, well the weapons would be alright to list in profiles. I mean, it's a decent way of weeding out God-Modders, but then again we're really not going to be fighting each other [with guns, anyway. I mean the occasional dramatic outburst is understandable]. Hell, we should be a team. I say leave the weapons up to the players, but we should state that the more/the heavier the weapons, the less mobile/less able to shoot mind bullets the person can be.

Lets make it easy: On the profiles, leave a link to the Wiki's Weapon page. Tell them they can pick anything within the limits of their character owning [A Quarrian should not be owning a Cain TNL] as well as the drawbacks of loading up on weapons as a biotic or tech specialist.

I'd say same goes for powers too, but, again we leave it up to a characters digression. A newly christened Biotic shouldn't be hurling singularies and warp fields and other advanced skills. Same goes for Techs and learning the meaner skills. The older/better reasoning as to why they are skilled, the more likely the chance they can play said character.

Besides, there is only one Biotic God

Well for the crew, we could splurge a little. Make the ships crew NPC's so we can interact with them. As for the ship, we can make it a typical UNSC Light Frigate or maybe even a Turian Cruiser, if we have a few bigwig turians in the character slots.

Can do! What theme were you going for exactly? A wide-scaled RP for people to play around throughout the galaxy? Or something more miniscule with a smaller roleplaying community like having only characters related to N7 operations?

Yeah that's the problem with the series. A lot of people, myself included, go in and out of desire for it. As a result there may only be a handful of people willing to run with a story let alone the one that ends up being the idea for the thread.

^-^ I am going to have to remember to check the gaia more often now. ><
