Pale Lotus: Stories revolving around Neko no Mura

Before it was a prophecy, and prophecy turned to a legend, and legend turned to a well kept secret that was revered as the truth: Deep within the forest of seasons, a forest that contains all the seasons of this realm spread about the four directions of the mind North, East, South, and West rests Neko no Mura. It is spoken that this village is ruled by a Kage or a Shadow in lay-miens terms a ninja, an assassin of the dark of the highest rank. This rule is spread about the massive village however not all within the village are of this class. Neko no Mura in itself is spoken of as just a myth and only fools go to find it through the forest of seasons. For within this village they say Demons reside, you can not kill them for if you try and they are close their power only grows. It is impossible to say why these tales came about. Few even know the full story about how the forest that surrounds this village even came into existence. Even fewer try to enter it without a solid reason. It is said to be suicide to even attempt to go to the village. A calamity came to this village and for a moment in time it was known to have been real but due to the cataclysmic events many think the village once again vanished into the darkness of ambiguity

The Present:
The village is currently operated by the survivors of the disaster, all of which are young adults.. Not all chose the path of their fathers, some have become simple, peaceful people maintaining the land as farmers, and fisherman, ect. Others hold the burden of the past and have become fearsome warriors.. It is not wise for invaders to tread these lands with mal-intent for it will be met back with blood and steel.

10. **This thread does not support the "anti-munch" project. Simply because it is one of the most contradictory pieces of literature the owner has ever read. We believe that auto-hits do not exist, they only work if you allow them to. As the author, you take or do not take said auto-hit. With that said, we also expect the roleplayers here to take part with some sort of etiquette. We do not and will not babysit.
11. !!!! Players are allowed to bring in their own plots, and even create special locations such as businesses. Space is allotted on the map for this reason! :3 !!!!

This is where the leader of the village lives.

Typically, Dream leaves her doors open for friends, family and other residents of the Mura. However, that's not an invitation for intruders. Those with mal-intent towards the house will face the barriers created by the house guardian, Breath. These barriers are mostly harmless, but just as well powerful. Any door mr.badguy tries to open will simply slam in his/her face. Oopsy daisy~

To be noted as well, there are usually several different people in the Arissa house... you are not alone. ninja

The garden is a lovely spot directly behind the house itself and nestled safely within the backyard. Its pretty romantic, and a good chill spot. Not to mention fresh fruits and veggies to snack on, yumyum! Don't let Serenity catch you rough housing here. We give free whoopin's.

Lets not forget the small details of the Arissa house; it's in between winter and spring so it's a fair temparture and sometimes you'll see snow on one side of the backyard.. Yeah, that's pretty cool right?

This is a social place for all ages. Picnics, parties and friendly spars take place here. Restaurants line the park from all four seasons, and there is also a body of water flowing through it. Residents and Visitors alike are welcomed to take in the wondrous, natural beauty of the park and maybe in the right season take a swim.

Looking up at the 3 floor tall building, made of dark wood, with white paper slide doors, lights, to benches out front with sleeping cat statues placed symmetrically. Inside the floor beneath ones feet is made of white marble and was spotless to a point you can see your own reflection. Black marble counters to match that black roofs that hand lights of course. The first room being a large open lounge area, with cherry would furniture {The finest}. Plants decorating with indoor trees and bamboo trees on both sides to every door. In the center of the lounge toward the left are gray couches and cushions set in a half circle on a black mat facing out toward an open garden with navy gravel and a built in miniature waterfall.

The rooms for guest of Nemuri-neko 眠猫 (sleeping cat) are just right to fit beings of all sizes. There are 1 to 2 bedroom rooms, a living/dinning space with a tea set next to an indoor little plant garden, closet, patio's, frig for foods, pots, fine silver wear, Soap,Body Soap,Shampoo,Rinse,Toothbrush,Razor,Towel,Bath Towel, bath robe, slippers, and a safe. Room service to fit the customers needs, and all the Neko who work there either wear white,black, or gray uniforms with a sleeping cat pin to match the business.

Club Catastrophic


Club Catastrophic is a place nestled near the wall of the winter side. It houses many delights for young adults including but not limited to, a massive dance floor, screens displaying a multitude of magical tricks and fights that have happened previously as they were recorded through magic. It also contains great music and an employ of exotic dancers. Both male and female. There is no need to be sexist here there is something for everyone to enjoy.

When you walk into Club Catastrophic you walk into the main area.

To the left and the right of the main entrance one will see the area's for the exotic dancers. The left side is the female exotic dancers and the right is the male. Be careful not to get the two confused it may end up a very hilarious situation.

Last but not least there is a fantastic V.I.P. section that circles around the entire building in the backdrop behind curtains and doors. Curtains and doors!? Yes Curtains and doors. In this area there is a large dance floor inside of each room. Big enough for perhaps five people but the actual flooring is soft surprisingly and very durable. While there is a bed in the back corner of each room it is certainly not for that. In fact most cases end with people simply pass out on the VIP dance floor or the bed.

The Crimson Redemption

Cold? Looking for something to warm you up? Roaming through winter can have some very adverse side effects. Well, why not stop by Club Catastrophic to blow all the worries of the chill away. If our music and drinks don't get your blood boiling again, make that heat rise, push that temperature over the limit. We can promise you that our dancers will. In fact they just might make you feel more intoxicated than the drinks.

Club Catastrophic is not a fun for all ages sort of facility. Inside the music blares and lights fly around in bright hues dedicated to the nirvana of the place. Not to mention there are male and female Exotic dancers working in this club and scantily clad waiters and waitresses here as well. In truth most of the waiters and waitresses are the exotic dancers. This club is one hell of a place to party that's for sure.

The Forest of Seasons:


The Forest of Seasons literally surrounds Neko no Mura from the North, East, South, and West. From the outside the forest looks normal depending on which direction you are coming from. For example if you enter from the West the area in that general location before hitting the forest is pretty cold. Once entering the forest itself you will find that you have entered The Forest of Winter. So, West is Winter, South is Summer, North is Spring and East is Fall.

If you enter the forests you have the chance of being attacked by the wildlife. Enter with caution! You'll know you're being attacked if you get a response from the Neko No Mura thread mule.

The Forest of Summer:

When walking into this forest the dirt becomes like that of sand and tree's are clumped together giving the patrons little room to escape them, or the heat for the tops do not give much coverage. The heat just in this specific region reaches into the mid hundreds so dressing in layers would not be a wise idea.

Boulders are also scattered out about the lands against the sand with quick sand waiting for you on almost every step.

In this forest dangers are everywhere, from Giant Scorpions, to Gripphons, OwlBears, and underground wyverns there is not much chance of a peaceful moment. Though they do happen and one can easily enjoy the beauty of it’s true nature if given the chance, they are rare.

Forest of Fall:

By far this forest is the second most lavish in beauty. It’s leaves crisp hues of orange and red dance against the trees and along the smooth breeze as it carries them off. Within this particular forest rests massive insects that burrow under the ground and hide waiting for their meals to come to them.

Along side these creatures are smaller formations of them that appear to be very harmless but if given the chance these ant looking anomalies will dig into their victims skin and begin to infest the body with their own, creating a nest and hollowing out the victim slowly.

The last thing one would need to worry about are the birds of prey that circle throughout this land. In this forest these massive eagles, the size of a modern day private jet soar around roaming the area for threats to their forest. Now between the three they are more docile and will give their victim a chance before passing judgment and becoming aggressive.

Forest of Winter:

Snow Leopards tend to roam the lands hunting those who enter for their food, these massive Felines do not always stay in packs there are times when they venture out to hunt on their own, but they never turn on one another. One pack will never attack the other. Arctic wyverns have also been seen flying over the forest and some that are more land based scale the trees in search for their meals. These creatures simply help guard the forest and the village from unwanted entrance.

The snow rests softly on the tops of the trees and there rests three feet of snow on the ground. Hearing something approach will be very common in these lands. Even the creatures walk and crunch through the snow it simply does not inhibit their movements. I.E it does not slow them down.

Forest of Spring:

This forest is beyond beautiful. It’s canvas is full of lush grass that appears to be tampered with every day to keep it’s natural glow. However it is just the pure energy of the forest radiating through the grass on the floor below.

As you enter and the aroma alone feels your lungs you will generally find yourself completely relaxed depending on your personality of course. Now It’s not to say this place is without danger at all. The very vegetation around you will consume you for it’s nourishment . At first you may be walking calmly and the next thing you know there is a tall flower crawling towards you with vines used as their legs. Everything here in this forest can kill you so watch your step.

Norowa reta prison:

A cave that goes straight down with a steep pass in the Winter side of the Neko no Mura. The actual cells are segregated and sectioned off due to particular needs. One section may be set for those who use abilities to teleport and travel in unconventional means. For these cells an alchemic barrier is set on their cells so that they are unable to use that particular power or ability. Like wise on other cell blocks there are alchemic barriers restricting the usage of every studied ability known to the neko no mura.


In the unlikely event they capture someone with unique abilities they will have their scientist study said prisoner and develop the appropriate barrier. The cells are carved into the mountain side and laced with a thick energy layer of ice as well. The bars are done in the same fashion. However if they have a prisoner who is in fact accustomed to the ice they will place them in a cell where it is steamed instead.

The living conditions in these cells are livable but just that and only that. The inmates have little to no privileges at all. Most are in fact in straight jackets and chained down to the ground where they are fed by a guard. Even their fingers hav shackles on them to restrict ninja from using hand signs or even other warrior or magi types from casting spells where they need to use their hands. Then there are the gang signs and sign language that could work for communicating back and forth to one another. Restircted!

On their mouths each inmate is muzzled they are not allowed to speak, they may hum if they like but that muzzle is tight on them and restricts most jaw movements. When they are fed the muzzle is loosened, not taken off and they are fed through it. So there is a small hole for them to eat, but imagine how tight it has to be if there is an opening and they can't talk. Strapped on there tight buddy.

The cells are lined inside the cave which shoots almost exactly straight down into the earth. Meaning it's steep and there is only a narrow pass before a large fall down into the empty expanse of the cave. The guards that patrol this area are unarmed but well versed in the art of melee combat. These cats are no joke they can scale this cave prison without a problem. They have done it in fact as part of their training. come up and be ready to throw down.

The only weapon they have in their arsenal other than their hands and feet are talismans that are unique to each guard. Meaning another person holding it would make it a useless piece of paper. Even a guard holding another guards could do nothing with that talisman at all.

In the chance of escape whenever an inmate is subjected to this prison they are given a shot. A very, vary large shot that pierces into their spleen and imbeds a small but potent bomb which must be taken out before they pass through the front gates of the prison, taken out or deactivated by a guard who knows the code. Other wise, pass the gate, three seconds and boom. Bye-bye

Oh, I forgot to mention. There are no emergency exits for prisoners in the cellblocks or in the narrow pass. Nor is their recreation time. You are in there to be contained, and fed, possibly kept alive only for questioning or until they decide you can go free. And to that note if there is an emergency and they need to evacuate the prison, you as a prisoner better hope you can make it to the exit gates in time before the thing caves in (only reason I could suspect them to have an evacuation) and also hope that they deactivate your nasty little spleen bomb

IKUGAHARA: Land of the Wolves


Deep within the mountains off set by the summer side of the Neko no Mura and near the lotus waterfall lives a clan of Wolves. This clan is known only by the name of their civilization: Ikugahara. They are a rough clan ruled purely by the strongest much like a pack of wolves in nature. For the truth behind them is that they are a pack of wolves in nature.

There is no real truce between those of the Ikugahara and those of the Neko no Mura. In some situations they will bother one another but they have no reason to go to war with each other. Ikugahara was around when the tragedy many years back fell upon the Mura however they were not directly involved. While they could have in all honesty offered a hand in the situation it was all over and done with before anything could have been done on their part.

A distinct bitterness from their young leader "Sahtan" rests towards the leader of the Mura. Not many even know why, and some speculate if he even knows why that bitterness resides, but he has not been overthrown. Ruled by the strong Ikugahara look to Sahtan for guidance and power. So he gives it to them without question or fail. Soon they will make their presence known once again.

Renown System


Renown: Renown is a system set in place to grant one celebrity throughout UNTZ. One can either find their name to become very Famous or very Infamous depending on their deeds.

Gaining Renown There are different ways in which one can gain renown. One of these ways would be to simply to do or complete quests in the land. Other ways to gain Renown are simply through the deeds one does through the land. While positive Renown when built up to an appropriate level can make you the talk of the town, or even the hero of the city. Negative Renown can do the exact opposite, causing the city to run you out or wanting you gone for the deeds you have done. In the worst case scenario wanting your head on a pike.

Positive Renown" Positive Renown can be gained through quests in which one has to protect, save, or even find someone else. There are many different quests that will be laid out through the land and posted for those interested to participate in. These higher tier quests gain more positive renown than the lower deeds of helping someone cross the street for example. While there are quests that are at such a high scale they are classified as Grandeur quest. These quests gain one a great deal of positive renown points. One must remember that there are always choices in these quests. No matter how big the quest or how great the deed. Doing the opposite of helping will still get one renown but possibly not in the fashion they wish for it to.

Gaining Positive Renown can grant one fame and good fortune. Becoming Famous in UNTZ will get you many fans. Not only that but being known across the Universe is a worth while Endeavor one might find worthy of obtaining.

Negative Renown: While every positive action has itself a negative action or reaction as well so to does the Renown system have a set of points for Negative Renown. While most quests are set to be completed towards the positive side or attribute it is left up to the one involved with the quest if they will follow a positive side or a negative side. Depending on their actions it will set in place their renown points

Gaining Negative Renown. For example instead of helping someone cross the street, stabbing them would give a person Negative renown. Instead of saving someone, kidnapping them would also give them Negative Renown. The severity of the 'crime' or the misdeed determines the amount of Negative Renown one gets. Building up Negative Renown will grant one's name spread throughout UNTZ in an Infamous way. In respect they wont be known as a great Villain or even a great evil.

Renown Quest Board: All throughout UNTZ in every location one could possibly imagine or dream of there are Quests Boards indicating challenges, both great and small to gain Renown. Each board has some of the same quests on it while some boards have quests specific to that region to gain renown. For example there may be a quest line in the Necropolis in which one must bring the limbs of a loved one to the king in order to gain renown While in the Rhea kingdom one might have to collect ingredients in one of their vast but possibly dangerous forest and bring back to the alchemy lab or the corresponding Magi. It varies from place to place in UNTZ but know that all of the high rolling renown quests lines will be on every single board. While this is very true it is not wise to go after these heavy hitters right off the bat.

Saibangami "Trail of many Gods" Arena/Concert Hall

This here is where all fights and spars will be held, a place specifically designed to keep any unneeded damage done to the residential environment outside, as well as a Concert Hall. The Saibangami "trail of many gods" is large Colosseum that is constructed with the local resources and imported resources nature has to offer. Large door and corridors for thousands of people to pass in and out through, with many entrances and exits encase of mass panic for the masses to pass through for safe exits.

This structure is circular and has seats that go three stories up and 13 stories down with an opened roof . There is however six arch columns that connect way up high with a sky blue Orb at the center of these columns where they cross. Large streamers and flags decorate and hang over the air space above, to provide shade for both audience and contestants.

The seating for each floor of the Saibangami can sit up to 10million people, 5 floors for stands all the way around and three stories down from the last seats is where the participants and arena is place to keep the audience safe from the on goings in the primary arena. A large entrance into the primary arena lays to the south and can hold up to 9 people walking side by side walking out onto the battle zone. And to the north on the direct opposite end of this entrance is the balcony where the host, those of importance, honor guest and possible trophy (s) are seated and placed high enough for all to see.

For Concerts

For Concerts the center of the Saibangami will alter with the thanks to the mechanisms built within. A transparent yet very solid platform will form floating at the center high enough for the crowd to see. With magic stones and crystals adding affects such as lighting, amping the music, particles, etc. If a performer happens to fall off no worries unless it's apart of the show, another platform will appear catching said person. Because of this stairs can be created so that they may walk upward or off the platform to stand on hair to add more magic to everything. (So get creative when this is accessible)

LOBBY/Registration & Customer Service

This is the first big room people would enter, upon entrance to the Saibangami structure. With in this room sits a series of chairs, a food court, couches, plants and tables for people to sit in chat before evens begin. There is a huge clock behind a wide desk sitting on the other side working the paperwork runic computer system, are Skywalkers the names of the accountants behind the desk.

On the right side is where contest get registered, and put into the code system to be displayed on the magic board where the names will be placed. To the Left of the desk is where people buy tickets and get there seats for the show weather it be arena or concert.

To the center is the help and information person who gives you directions on where you need be. There are also maps in the Lobby and a few in the hallways. For events all who wish to participate must register into the system, any who do not wish to abide by these rules will be kicked out the event, any further disruption will be dealt with depending on the level of hostility.

On the right of the desk is a room with Teleportation Crystals that will teleport people to different arena's. The other arena's have teleport crystals as well that will let them return.

Locker/Prep and dressing rooms

All contestants in whatever event(s) is current go down stairs to the locker room, to get ready, mingle with other contestants, or rest after being battered after a fight. This room however is off limits to those not participating, without proper clearance.

The prep area can also be found in the location back stage. All performers can find places to change cloths and find props for their shows. This area though also considered off limits is free for invites from others that happen to be preforming. Other then that it is just as off limits for safety reasons, unless given permission to be back stage.

The Hive


The Hive is a special room, that is not located on any maps, and not just open to anyone.This is because it is the room that controls the mechanics of the structure, everything from lighting to lock-down. Those who enter this room must have clearance only because of how important this control room is, on top of that they must have the proper rune code to open the doors. Inside is a wide space with crystals and gems of every color, Screenmite holograms of the entire facility and chairs at each station, all a person has to do is sit at one of these stations and touch the crystal, it will create what looks like a keyboard that pops out. One can touch and move these keyboards operating their specific controls and spells on the Saibangami.

Those without clearance but some how manage to find their way to this room, will be charged with: Conspiracy, Theft, and Sabotage.

The Host Balcony

This is the Balcony in the main stadium, where the Host of events, special guest, and leaders are allowed. If one wishes to enter this area, they must have proper clearance. Without this all trespassers will be charged with the following crimes:
*Attempted Assassination
*Attempted Theft of Trophy
*Conspiracy

No one is above this, so think before heading off to this area. Get proper clearance and hope they allow you passage, cause the guards of the arena are nothing to take easy.
