The lycan watched the exchange between the two vampires in silence, noting that whoever the vampire that Hazel had been talking to left the casino. Kei also seemed to have had enough and stormed off out the door. She let out a quiet sigh, rubbing her face.

Then Hizaki was suddenly in her face, holding out the back of a business card at her. "... Ye... Wha'?" Her eyebrows furrowed as confusion settled onto her face before finally realizing he wanted her to write her phone number on the back of the card. Scratching her head she rummaged around in her bag for a pen and her cellphone, she had no idea what her number was as she rarely, if ever used the damn thing.

Sera took the card, scribbled her number on the back along with her name and 'Yer a barmpot, dun drink too much.', handing it back to him once she was done. She was sure she would live ot regret this decision, but then again, you only live once.

"All alone in the dark...Fall into the endless world. Call the Lord to solve the dole, why was I born..."

Hizaki sighed, watching Kei storm off. His shadows moved Kei's weapons over to Hizaki, he grabbed them, stashing the pistols in his belt and holding onto the sword. "He just needs a minute to calm down." He assured himself, looking out the window of the club.

His attention was brought back to Sera when she returned the card, which he accepted with a smile. "Thanks!" He said happily, sighing as he realized he should probably be leaving. "I'll see you soon then." He said to Sera with a wave, heading out the back door of the club and looking around. This alley might do nicely actually, it was open to the street but ended back further from the club's exit. So if any humans happened upon him he could attempt to jump to the rooftops.

He shrugged, he had no idea how long it would be until the sun came up so he wanted to get settled as quickly as possible and this was probably as good as anything else he would find. He grabbed the backpack of clothes Hazel had brought earlier and made his way to the back of the alley. After finding a spot that he figured looked covered up enough to protect him from the sun he slid down the wall, sticking the backpack behind his head. It was gonna be rough not having a place during this craziness. Maybe it would work out though, he might find some abandoned apartments or something to hide out in for a while.

"...I don't wanna see reality. I don't wanna cry for anything. Just wanna be with you, please..."

The Vengeful Lycan

[Aldraan stopped in his tracks when he heard a voice addressing him. Turning slowly on the spot the lycan's face split into a wolfish grin as he saw the vampire threatening him. What made it even more amusing in Aldraan's eyes was the fact that the vampire made a move as if to reach for a weapon that obviously wasn't there. This caused Aldraan to laugh mockingly the tone of his voice when he was spoke was condescending, each word that came from his mouth practically dripping with disdain. "What concern is it to you what I do or even who I do it with? I am a wanderer, I go where I want and do as I please and I most certainly will not be stopped from doing so by someone like you"

Aldraan couldn't help but double over with laughter when he heard Kei's threat. Once he had stopped laughing Aldraan stood stock still his eyes never leaving Kei. "Tell me, when I tear that black heart out of your chest where should I lay it to rest? Perhaps you can provide me some amusement, a warm up before the main event as it were."

Raising his right hand Aldraan twisted it across his chest with a flourish and the air around Aldraan seemed to shimmer and ripple. The air in front of Aldraan condensed and darkened visibly wrapping itself around his form. Lowering his hand Aldraan took a moment to admire his handiwork. Where he had been naked before Aldraan was now dressed in a skin hugging black combat suit very much similar to the ones worn by the order.

"There we go, we wouldn't want my stunning body distracting you from the real fun now would we?"Despite his hatred of all things vampiric Aldraan was not above exchanging pleasantries before he tore the cheeky little bloodsuckers head off. Keeping his eyes on Kei Aldraan bowed deeply then straightened up. "My name is Aldraan Reaves. Now are you going to stand there taunting me all day or are you going to put your money where your mouth is and fight like a man?"

Kei felt his heart clench from fear; it was the first time he came across a lycan with that type of power. What that power even was he was unsure. He didn't even see Aldraan move yet he now stood before him fully clothed. He clutched his hands into fists until his knuckles turned white; trying to mask his fear with anger. Though the fear was still evident especially now that he realized he probably wouldn't be able to touch the lycan with any of his powers. He hissed in frustration as he glared back at Aldraan after being counter taunted; another thing that he wasn't used to from his targets. "Nice trick... it's not going to save you though." He said circling halfway around the lycan getting a feel for him. It was to late to back out of the fight now but he was almost confident he could win clearly still underestimating the lycan; quickly burrying his fear he made his first move. He quickly rushed forward closing the distance between the two of them and jumped into the and connected a fly double side kick into Aldraan's chest.

Aldraan raised an eyebrow at Kei's remark and chuckled darkly "Trick? No, no trick little vampire. This is raw power and you're about to find out that I have a lot more than just this one little 'trick' at my disposal."

Aldraan made no move to avoid the kick thrown by Kei. Instead he allowed the vampire to connect with him. The force of the impact rocked Aldraan's balance ever so slightly and he put his right foot ever so slightly behind him to re-balance himself. Turning out of the blow Aldraan made a quick step to the left and as soon as Kei's leg had retracted from the kick Aldraan whipped out a quick, stinging kick of his own. There was very little power behind the kick however, it was merely a tool to allow Aldraan to give himself a little breathing space and to work out how he was going to approach the fight. Normally Aldraan would simply drop the vampire and be done with it but he was feeling a little playful on this particular night.

As soon as he had completed his kick Aldraan went into a half crouch with his weight supported on his rear leg and shot a palm strike out towards Kei's abdomen. Rising back to his full height Aldraan started to circle Kei with a small smile fixed in place on his face. "You talked a big game little boy, don't tell me you're all talk and no action? Come on...let's see what you're capable of. You hate me don't you? Aren't I the very creature your whole race despises. Don't you want to take my head from my shoulders and mount it as a trophy? Come on...let me see that rage..." Aldraan's whole demeanour was still relaxed and his every action seemed like it was meant to anger Kei, which in truth it was. he wanted to taunt Kei into a rage.

Mac nodded then when she passed a small TV in a office she stopped dead in her tracks turning to look at it. That voice, that sweet soft singsong voice. It was soothing yet unnerving at the same time. Gritting her teeth Mac gripped her hands into a fist following her new partner out of the building. Leading him into an ally where she pulled the cover off a pitch black 1967 Impala SS 427. Smiling she walked over to the back of the car sliding under it pulling the keys that had been duct taped just above the gas tank. "Alrighty. I drive this car no one else. I have issues about my baby getting beat the s**t out of by anyone but me. I'd rather ******** the devil himself then let someone drive her." Stood popping open the trunk as she displayed a large array of weapons, cross bows, throwing knives to grenades and a RPG. Grabbing a duffel bag there was a set of clean clothes and some wipes. Put together for those messy hunts. Sighing Mac stripped down forgetting Mahiro was standing right there. Giving herself a quick wipe down before tossing her dirty clothes and wipes into a trash can she pulled on the camo cargo pants, tight black T shirt, and her multi pocked vest. Sliding her cigarettes and silver zippo into the lest breast pocket. Grenades and c4, extra clips. Making sure that if she had to travel far from the car she could easily have herself armed enough to hold out till back up showed. Slamming the trunk Mac's hand twitched a little, the same singsong voice in her head giggling, "Mac! Mac! Maaaaaaaaac! You know he's looking for you. A puppet of a play, play of a puppet. You are the one he wants. How do you think I got here?" The voices giggles and laughter about being grays puppet made her twitch a little in rage, struggling to choke it down as she got into the drivers side of the car, firing up, foot pressed to the floor revving the engine to feel the power behind the beastliness of the car taking a steady shaky breath.

Don't refuse me...

Rain looked over at Aaron with a light laugh as he struggled from not falling over by practically being tackle hugged by his friend. "Ah it's a long story. Let's just say at some point in the night while we were drinking we seemed to have lost our clothes at some point." He said sticking his tongue out at the vampire who stood by his side. It was odd to see a vampire and a lycan be best friend with each other but that what they were; aside from being each others rivals in the music industry. As Saica emerged from the changing room with his fancy new set of clothes; Rain nodded in acknowledgment. "Looking good Saica... though I had hoped you would have possibly not found something to your liking and I could have enjoyed the view a bit longer." He teased.

When Saica teased him on whether is relationship with Aaron was a normal friendship or that of one with benefits. Rain couldn't help but have a sly expression cross his features; as he pulled Aaron as close as possible to him. He gave Saica a mischievous look  and gave a small laugh. "It's not my fault everybody would rather sleep with me than you. I'm just that damn irresistible" he said as he reached over and turned Aarons head towards his and kissed him not giving him a choice in the matter; that was until he felt his friend bite his lip and drew a bit of his blood. Rain pulled away and moved towards Saica. Ow.. a bit of a warning next time.... what i tell you about bitting you a**... he sent the thought to Aaron; once he reached Saica he through his arms around him and while he stood behind him and rested his chin on his friends shoulder. "Though I've always wanted to have a threesome, how about it?" He whispered though he knew full well Aaron being a vampire he would have heard everything he said. "ah but where are my manners... Saica this is Aaron. Aaron meet Saica. I'm surprised you guys never met while we were on tour?!" He said as he pulled away from Saica but kept his arm around his shoulder and pulled him toward Aaron until he was close enough to rest his arm on his shoulder. "So what should we do on this early morning?!" He asked the two of them rather excitedly.

Kei stumbled back from Aldraan's small string of attacks; having already been exhausted from his fight with the two human mercenaries not to long before. He cursed under his breathing knowing that the lycan was just toying with him and also cursed himself for not getting a drink before hand. He glared at the lycan turning his body every so slightly as he circled around him. "I'll make you regret saying those words mutt." He growled as he let out a psychokinetic wave from his body and aimed it towards Aldraan. He smirked thinking that should have ended the fight between them it was one of his most powerful attacks and turnt anything it touched into nothing but what looked like ash and he knew that even the lycans speed would help him here.

Aaron gave a quiet chuckle as Rain kissed him. It had been unexpected but not exactly unwelcome. After accidentally cutting rain's lips with his fangs Aaron pulled away and laughed at Rain's comment about him biting. "Hmm...and what have I told you about sexually assaulting me without at least yelling 'Surprise!' beforehand?"

Aaron was perfectly capable of hearing Rain's comment about a threesome and he gave a quiet chuckle. "Yeesh Rain man. I've only been in town for like an hour and you're already trying to get me into bed. Give a guy a chance to settle in first eh?" Aaron gave another quiet, musical chuckle and his face split into a smirk as Rain explained the reasoning behind them being in a clothing store. "You getting naked. Nothing new there Rain." He gave the lycan a playful nudge in the ribs with his elbow.

Aaron's eyes wandered over to Saica as Rain introduced the two of them and he bowed his head ever so slightly. "Any friend of Rain's is a friend of mine." Aaron had to wonder at what Rain said, he was surprised he hadn't met Saica before now. "I dunno Rain, I bowed out for a little bit earlier this year. Had to get a new look. After all, I can't exactly stay in the spotlight and never appear to age now can I?"

[Aldraan couldn't help but let out a loud laugh at Kei's words towards him. "I'm so scared I might just s**t myself"

When the vampire let out a powerful blast of psychokinetic energy Aldraan stood perfectly still. Though it appeared as if he were making no move to avoid the attack Aldraan was well prepared for any attack on his person be it via physical means or mental. With little more than a thought Aldraan stopped the attack from Kei in it's tracks with a blast of phsychic energy of his own. The two forces collided right in front of Aldraan's face causing a visible rippling in the air.

Using his innate gift Aldraan sent his own consciousness extending out of his own body towards that of Kei. Feeling the distinct emotions being radiated from Kei Aldraan used his mind to pin the vampire in place preventing him from making any kind of movements whatsoever. Aldraan laughed mockingly though the sound came not from his body but from his mind echoing across the connection Aldraan had initiated between their two minds.

You think you're the only one who has a reason to hate? Do you even have a reason or do you kill my kind just because you're told to? I,unlike so many others in this war, have a reason for killing.

Opening his mind further Aldraan wrapped his own mind around that of Kei forcing him to see what Aldraan was about to show him. Without another word Aldraan delved into the depths of his own mind sorting through the thousands of memories he had from countless years until he finally came across the one he was looking for. The memory of the night he had lost everything.

As everything went dark around them, or at least it would appear to have gone dark around them to Kei, Aldraan started to play the memory back in his head with himself and Kei watching as invisible bystanders.

Flashback

It was a warm, balmy night, the stars were shining overhead and all around there were rolling fields and grassy hills winding through a small village somewhere in Italy. Off to the side there were numerous people milling about with a small fire burning away in the centre of a small clearing. Sat around that fire was none over than a much younger, much less world weary Aldraan. He was currently leaning forward towards a young woman talking quietly and laughing at something she was saying. A pang of guilt and sadness welled up in Aldraan as he watched the scene play out in front of him as he new how it was going to end.

Moving forwards Aldraan came to stand behind his younger self and with a look of pure longing on his face he reached out to the young girl and tried to run his fingers through her hair but his incorporeal form slid right through hers.

Turning from the scene Aldraan looked around at his pack. These were his family. Until this night all he had known was what it was like to live free, wild and unburdened by anything. An even larger pang of sadness hit Aldraan's gut like a sledgehammer when he saw two young twin boys run up to his younger self with cries of 'Daddy!' and lap up onto his lap. Being a father was something he had never revealed to anyone he had ever met but in order for Kei to see the full picture he needed to know everything.

A few moments later and an older, slightly grey-haired man who resembled Aldraan too much to be anyone other than his father stepped into the clearing wearing nothing but a simple robe. Adressing the rest of those assembled the man rose his voice so that it would carry. "Tonight we hunt my friends! let us be off!'

Rising from his seat the younger Aldraan stretched and then in a blink he had shifted into his wolf form as had the rest of those lycans who were participating in the hunt.

Fast forwarding through the next few hours of his memory of the hunt Aldraan bought himself and Kei into his memory of later that night. It had gone even darker and the majority of the pack were sleeping most of them in their wolf forms. He could see himself and one other young lycan still awake. His older brother by two years and the next alpha of the pack. Almost as if in unison the two lycans sniffed the air and frowns came onto their faces. Something was obviously wrong. Moments later the source of their discomfort was revealed as a tall, ominous figure approached at a slow pace. Aldraan was already running off to rouse the rest of the pack. This was a vampire, that much was obvious by the smell of him. It had been a long while since any of the pack had encountered a vampire as they had been living in seclusion which bought to mind the question why would one lone vampire approach a whole pack? Something was definitely not right.

As Aldraan raced around rousing the rest of the pack Aldraan's brother had drawn his blade and stood in the path of the approaching vampire. "That's far enough bloodsucker. You have no business here. Now be gone before I get decidedly less civil with you." The vampire's face split into a deadly grin as he looked at the lycan threatening him. A quiet chuckle whispered from between the vampire's lips and he shook his head with a small sigh. "What? No warm greeting. I thought your pack was known for it's hospitality? Or is that only towards other dogs?" The vampire took another three steps forwards despite the blade pointed directly at his heart by Aldraan's brother. Before he could even have a chance to respond to the taunts of the vampire Aldraan's brother was knocked from his feet by a backhand blow from the vampire who quickly followed up by leaping into the air and bringing his knee down onto the lycan's chest shattering every one of his ribs and driving the splintered fragments of bone into his heart.

Aldraan arrived back on the scene just in time to witness his brother's murder at the vampire's hands and he let out a scream of rage and grief which turned into a bestial howl as he rippled into his wolf form and tackled the vampire to the floor. However such a foe was not to be underestimated and the vampire tucked into the impact and used the momentum to roll through and hurl Aldraan away from him as if he weighed no more than a feather. Aldraan collided with a large rock with enough force to knock him senseless and daze him. Thankfully he was saved from certain death as the remainder of his pack arrived on the scene mostly in their wolf forms apart from a few. One of them being Aldraan's father who stood staring down the vampire with cold intent etched on his elderly features. The vampire burst into a fit of laughter and removed it's jacket hanging it on the branch of a nearby tree. The whole air of casualness about the vampire was enough to show that he was apparently unfazed with the fact that he was about to get ripped to pieces by a whole pack of pissed off lycans.

The vampire stretched and looked directly at Aldraan's father as he spoke. "Really? You send your oldest pack member to fight me? Is this supposed to be an insult?! You obviously have no idea who you're dealing with here. Allow me to clear that up for you. I am Kael." That was enough to cause growls to rise from the throats of most of the assembled lycans. Secluded from most other lycans as they were even Aldraan's pack had heard of the terrible vampire Kael who had seemingly sprung up out of nowhere years back and started to kill off lycans one by one. So far word had it that he had already eradicated at least three large packs which made him an opponent to be cautious with.

Kael's face split into an even wider grin as he saw the reaction his name had gotten. "Ah. So you've heard of me then. Good this shall make this a lot more enjoyable" Without another word Kael sprung into action and had dropped two lycans by tearing out their hearts before the the others could even react. Aldraan's father managed to block the same move intended for him and drove Kael back under a flurry of punches and kicks one of which impacted with enough force to snap Kael's arm at the left elbow. The vampire seemed unbothered by his unjury, in fact it only seemed to egg the monster on even more as his open palmed blow found it's mark in his opponents throat crushing his windpipe.

Getting groggily back to his feet Aldraan's next sight was that of his father literally being torn in half by the vampire. Charging from behind Aldraan rushed at Kael in a blind rage his claws sweeping around from the side trying to take the vampire's head off. Kael merely weaved under the blow and bought his knee up into Aldraan's gut and then struck the young lycan with such force that his vision clouded and his mind went hazy as he tried to fight off falling into unconsciousness.

The sounds of the battle echoing around Aldraan slipped in and out of focus like a badly tuned radio. He heard screams, the distinct sound of bones breaking and above it all the piercing, maniacal cackling of the vampire. The sound unnerved Aldraan like nothing before ever had. Finally recovered enough to get back to his feet the sight that met Alraan was enough to give even the most hardened of killers nightmares. There was blood everywhere aswell as remnants of various lycans bodies, some with their hearts torn out, others beaten so badly they were little more than a bloody paste strewn across the field and even more had been burnt alive by the sight and smell of them.

Howling his rage to the moon Aldraan once again dived back into the fray clamping his jaws around Kael's arm and dragging the vampire to the floor. He was about to go for the killing blow when he felt a sharp pain in his chest. Looking down Aldraan let out a hissing growl as he saw that in his distraction the vampire had managed to drive his blade deep into Aldraan's chest as he had dragged him to the floor. Pulling himself off of the blade Aldraan tried to get to his feet and continue the fight but he was gushing blood and black spots had started to swim in front of his eyes. The last thing he saw as death, or so he thought, took over him was Kael slicng a lycan neatly in two.

Waking up some hours later, if the red tinge of dawn on the horizon was anything to judge by, it took Aldraan a few minutes to gather his thoughts. Leaping to his feet he yelped in pain remembering the wound he had been dealt but he had other things to be worried about right now. Dashing through the carnage Aldraan stepped around the fallen bodies of his friends, his family as he made his way towards the wooden cabin at the rear of the clearing that he had lived in. Entering the cabin Aldraan's eyes took in the most heart rending sight one could possibly ever come across. There were his two children, their tiny, battered,bloody bodies laying across the bed with their mother's corpse on the floor in front of the bed. No doubt she had tried to save them but to no avail. Tears welling up in his eyes Aldraan let out a scream so loud and piercing he wouldn't be surprised if it had carried for miles around. Sobbing uncontrollably Aldraan sank onto the bed paying no heed to the blood surrounding him and he cradled the heads of his children in his lap.

It was hours later that Aldraan finally let go of his children and picking up the corpse of their mother he laid her on the bed beside them. Taking a small silver chain with an eagle pendant attatched to it from around her neck Aldraan slipped it around his own neck. Leaning down he kissed his wife tenderly on her forehead and whispered.I'll see you again someday my love."

Turning from the cabin Aldraan stepped outside and after a few minutes of rummaging through corpses he had retrieved his father's blade and managed to isolate Kael's scent. With an intense, scorching hatred burning in his eyes Aldraan walked away from his life, his home to pursue the only thing that he had left. His vengeance.
Flashback end

The present day Aldraan was finding it hard to keep himself together as he relived the worst night of his life all over again. Satisfied that Kei had seen enough Aldraan ended the flashback and released his hold on the vampire's mind allowing him to move freely once again. His eyes cold and devoid of emotion Aldraan looked at Kei. "Well vampire? still under the assumption that all lycans are mindless beasts to be slaughtered? I had a wife! a family! And one of your kind swept in and took all that away because he was 'bored', so tell me. Out of our two races who are the real monsters? Yes I might turn into a beast, but inside you vampires are just as much a beast as I."

"It's not lightning, not a burning fire ...

"Thank god." Mahiro mumbled to himself as they walked to Mac's car. He raised an eyebrow as they approached it, it certainly was a nice car. "Fine by me, I prefer bikes anyway." He explained with a shrug when Mac said she would be driving. He followed her to the back of the car, peering over the contents of the trunk. It was quite an impressive collection of weapons.

Mahiro's face went bright red when she started changing right in front of him. He didn't say anything, moving to the passenger side of the car, he waited there keeping watch on the other side of the alley, though he did catch himself glancing back at her a few times. Once Mac was finished gathering supplies and entered the car he pulled the passenger door open, sitting down and closing the door behind him. "So, where to first?" He asked as she revved the engine.

...It's a tree growing higher, higher."

"All of a sudden, we would do something wild and stupid
It was casual and impulsive...

Saica flicked Rain on the forehead. "I've only just met the man, I wasn't planning on sleeping with him." He shook his head, doing his best to return Aaron's bow with Rain hanging on him. "Good to meet you, you know how it is, lead singer always gets more attention than the guitarist." He joked when Rain questioned how they hadn't met before. He was a bit surprised by it too, he tended to get along with the bands they toured with fairly well usually.

"Well, we should probably go make sure your apartment didn't get broken into with the mess the city's in right now." Saica answered Rain's question of what to do. It was a real concern, everything seemed to have gone crazy so it wasn't out of the question that peoples' houses were being ransacked.

Sera nodded politely as Hizaki exited the building with a hint of meeting again further down the line. If she was completely honest with herself, which she usually was, the possiblity of that happening was slim at best. She figured the vampire would wake the next night with a bitter after taste in his mouth and hazy memories.

With a yawn the lycan rolled over on the couch, fully intending to get back to sleep right then and there and she would probably have done so if her keys had not poked her uncomfortably in the thigh. She blinked and sat up, looking around the mostly empty room as though she'd just been brought out of a trance. What was she doing here? She had things to do! She had to get out of the city before things got even worse than they already were, if they hadn't done so already with all the time she'd squandered away in the casino. Hopping to her feet, she slung the trusty messenger bag over her shoulder and skulked out into the night, her nose immediately catching Hizaki's scent from further down the alleyway. "... When ye said 'see ye soon' Ah was nae expectin' ih tae be minutes, lad. Ye cannae seriously tell me yer goin' tae sleep there? There's go' tae be summin' better 'n more safe than tha' around, surely? Ah mean wha i-"

She cut off mid sentence just staring at what appeared to be a completely ordinary if a bit dark corner at the bottom of the alley. The look on her face quickly turned from mildly alarmed to terrified within seconds, mouth opening and closing over and over as though she was trying to find words that wouldn't come. "Bodach..." Was all she finally managed to get out before scrambling backwards on hands and feet, finally regaining her footing and bolting out of the alley as though the devil himself was after her.

A bodach. It was a bodach, it had to be. Sera had never seen one herself until that very moment but both her parents and Justus had told her about them enough to warrant her reaction. She was by no means a superstitious person, but when a bodach appeared you did best to get out of its way as fast as your legs could carry you. And that is exactly what she did, heart hammering in her chest and eyes wide in terror.

Hizaki blinked up at Sera, about to answer her when she went pale and dashed from the alley. He shrugged, not sure what the problem was, but decided if she was that offended by his choice of alleys he should probably find a new one. It didn't seem like it was too close to daylight so he should have enough time to find somewhere else.

Pushing himself to his feet, Hizaki slung the backpack over his shoulders and exited the alley. He was mostly able to walk straight by now, only stopping to use walls to regain his balance every few minutes. Hopefully he'd come across something that looked decent soon, he was also keeping his eye out for abandoned homes too, with all the deaths and people going crazy there were bound to be some out there.
