tab This morning will be open to any responses. One thing is for certain, there will be a party tonight for the newly arranged couples. Whether they attend with their fiancee or not is up to their discretion but it would be most acceptable. The new bachelors will be arriving to the Sohma residence soon and may be looking forward to a break or food after their long trip. Please look at the date and weather for any other concerns.

Chiyoko's somber eyes opened softly as the soft coo of his alarm clock pulled him from his sleep. He reached over and pushed the alarm clock off. Giving a soft yawn, he sat up and looked around his room. Today is the day. He thought, remembering what day it even was. He was excited and yet nervous. He was nothing special. Would he even be worth it to his new fiancee? What if he hated him. What if. His mind cut himself up and he pushed himself off his bed. He was worried about something that could not even happen. He continued to lecture himself as he got ready.

The one thing he did not put on was shoes. For some odd reason, Chiyoko loved the feel of the ground on his bare feet. He planned on washing them and putting shoes on when his fiancee came but for his stroll this morning, he would be alone. I could get away with not wearing them, right?

Agreeing with himself, Chiyoko left his small house in a brown sweater and a pair of worn out jeans. It was chilly this morning and he could feel it in the cold dirt. He glanced around wondering if any of the other Sohma's were awake. It was quiet and Chiyoko began his small stroll through the residence. He paused outside his last destination and eyed the Zodiac Shrine. They would be holding a dance tonight. He thought to himself.

With no better intentions for his morning, he pushed open the large doors to the shrine and glanced around. If they were going to be doing anything in here, it would need a deep intense clean. He came in all the way and closed the door softly behind him. His brown eyes darted around the room as he stepped more and more inside. He reached over and turned on the lights in the room and noticed the real mess of the place. Leaves and dirt were cluttered on the floor. He sighed and sat down. He could clean now if he decided, but the silence and quietness of the room was enough to entertain him.

It was calming. I wonder... what everyone else feels. Are they as excited as me. Chiyoko couldn't help but wonder. His stomach was churning with his worry and the more he thought about it the more nervous he got. He was excited but so concerned. He could think of all the things that could go wrong and the more he thought the more scenarios that happened where everything was wrong.

The car rolled down the road in the early morning, the peaceful quietness of the land easily overpowering any need to talk between the two occupants in the back of the limo. Yuji kept his hands folded in his lap, pressing against his dark brown slacks and causing slight wrinkles in the firmly ironed pants. His bright blue eyes, a rare commodity in the country, spoke highly of his slight Western heritage, a testimony to his wonderful Grandmother, who had been born in Germany before being married off to his Grandfather. Though he was a proud citizen of Japan and it's beautiful culture and heritage, a part of him had always been excited by the idea that he had taken after the wonderful woman, the only person in the world who could have made his Grandfather change his mind. Perhaps, if she were still alive, she could have talked him out of marrying him off.

No, thinking like that was selfish. Marrying into the Sohma family was the only way to reclaim the honor that his sister, his foolish, selfish sister had decided to throw away with no regard to anyone else. He closed his eyes, knowing that his Grandfather wouldn't be looking at him, instead he would be focused on the folder in his hands. Despite deciding to accompany him to the estate where he would soon live for the rest of his life, his Grandfather hadn't said a word to him the entire hour ride.

He reached a hand up to straighten the collar around his white sweater. He was going to meet his fiance for the first time today. To say he was nervous would be a complete understatement, he hadn't ever expected that he would be married off, though he had always known that being the second son (and third child) left him little option otherwise.

The car pulled to a stop in front of beautifully crafted wrought-iron gates. Yuji's eyes widened at the sheer beauty of the estate as the gates opened and the car pulled along the driveway. It was magnificent! The moment the car stopped, Yuji's goodbye to his Grandfather took less than a minute, the stern man wouldn't accept a tearful goodbye, considering it dishonorable. By the time that Yuji's brown loafer's touched the driveway, his bags were already placed in front of him by the driver. His eyes darted around the view, taking in the large Main House as he could now safely say he was getting excited to explore the land and meet it's many residents.

Sleeping wasn't something he could much of last night, having only gotten perhaps two hours or so before having to get up and do something. And by something, he had chosen to climb up on the roof and gaze upon the stars well into the early morning hours where the hues of orange, pink, and purple began to lay claim to the sky, followed by the arrival of clouds. Ugh. It was going to be one of those days. Hopefully it didn't rain of he'd be in trouble. Then again, today was the day that things were changing for them.

Marriage was a strange concept to grasp, especially an arranged one. Would the person chosen for him understand him and his needs? Or would it just be someone who was bitter about this whole ordeal and put all the blame on him for it? He hated when people were upset with him and there was no way he could be married to someone like that without being miserable for the rest of his life. He wanted someone he could make laugh and just hold, to whisper sweet things to. That would be nice. No, it would be perfect. Ah, but in all these years he never had such luck. Sure, he'd been with a few people, but it was always such a struggle. He could never be himself with them and even then there was the whole thing about kissing and hugging . . . Oh jeez, he was going to die inside if the one he was to marry was really good looking. He really couldn't stand this part of it. It was too hard. "Hey, that's what she said." He mused to himself, but the little joke was barely a relief from the truth. Ugh.

Some time had passed since then, the dog having managed to doze off at some point since then. Of course, sleeping on the roof was a poor choice and it was soon realized when a blackbird landed near the dog's resting place, soon giving a horrid call to its brethren and startling the young man. And then off the roof he went, hitting the ground was a hard 'thud' and leaving him gasping as the wind was knocked from him. It almost seemed like an eternity before the air came back, the male nearly in tears from his struggle to breath. Yet, he didn't move. Not right away, at least. It took him awhile before he had the courage to face whatever agony would come from shifting about, but he had to try. Or maybe not seeing as the slightest movement brought him suffering. Oh, he was going to kill that bird later.

Tamashii nearly jumped out of his skin as his alarm clock ripped through his dreamscape like a jackhammer on steroids and on top of that fell out of his bed and onto the floor. His tom-cat had been out of his bedroom the moment the alarm had gone of initially and was sitting sitting in the door way to his room with his ears down and his tail swishing. It took Tamashii a moment, but he breathed air back into his lungs and jumped up and across the room to slam a hand on the off button for his alarm clock. He usually kept the alarm clock across the room from him so that he had to actually get out of bed in order to quiet the blasted thing. His tom cat had always hated the alarm going off so early in the morning, but Tamashii liked to get up before the sun rose. It was really the only time he could go for a run without many people taking notice of him.

On the other hand he really wasn’t supposed to be going out for these morning runs in the first place. It was because of his heart condition that he really wasn’t allowed to do these long runs in the mornings. If he put too much strain on his heart then there was a high chance that he could actually suddenly go into cardiac arrest and most likely die. Tama had heard that his entire life both from doctors as well as his own parents and other relatives that knew about his heart condition. He didn’t have a death wish, but Tama simply liked to run and always had. Tamashii yawned as he dressed for his run in a baggy lavender colored tank top, a smaller black tank under that, jeans and sneakers. He then emerged from his room to be greeted with a purring white tom cat rubbing against his legs and Tama nearly tripped over him to get to the bag of cat food. After taking care of his kitten, Tama made himself a quick breakfast and took his heart medication before grabbing his, backpack, headphones and ipod and then heading out the door.

With his headphones playing his ipod playing songs in alphabetical order, Tamashii Sohma was through the grounds of the large Sohma owned property. He jogged at a fairly good stead pace this morning as he first passed the Zodiac Shrine. He didn’t normally exit out through the front gate of the Estate since he enjoyed running through it more than not. As he reached the Sohma Park, the sun as just starting to rise and paint the sky in magnificent colors. The park itself was rather large and beautiful in the early morning so it usually took him a little bit to run all the way through it. After the park, his usual route took him down to the Sunflower Pathway. It wasn’t recommended for anyone to run on this path as it always tended to be rocky, but to be honest Tama liked the challenge of not tripping over the rocks and scrapping up his arms. It did happen on occasion and he’d have to fess up to having been running on the Sunflower Path, but not even that deterred him.

The Sunflower Path was quite long and Tamashii stopped a couple times to rest a bit before continuing on with his long morning run. He did pause on the bridge that went across Good Fortune Pond and toss a coin into it before continuing on. He didn’t exactly believe in the legend surrounding the Pond, but he thought he’d need all the Luck he could get in the department of romance considering what day today happened to be. From there he continued into town passed the Kimotoro Crossing and through Kimotoro Main Street. It was about time he stopped for a break someplace for a snack before heading home and he could have done so on main street, but he preferred to stop on Kimotoro Sweet Street and eat at one of the café’s there. He just liked the atmosphere there better than on the Main Street. Stepping into one of Sweet Streets café’s, he ordered two chocolate chip muffins and took a seat at one of the café’s tables. He took a bottled water out of his backpack as well as a book that he had yet to finish. Tamashii slowly munched on the muffins as he read his book with an occasional sip of water here and there.

It wasn’t long after the muffins were eaten, that Tamashii Sohma still sat in the same spot and in the same café on Sweet Street reading his book. Sighing, he reluctantly put away his book and water bottle and cleaned up his mess from eating the muffins. He slipped his ear buds back into his ears, pressed play on his ipod and he was off again, but this time the monkey was heading back to the estate. It was still a bit chilly and overcast out, but in his current state the coldness of the dreary weather felt nice on his warm skin. Instead of going back the way he’d come, the monkey ran through the city and to the front entrance of the Sohma estate with its wrought iron elegant gates. As he came up onto the Estate he paused as he took note of a limo entering through the gates and Tamashii wondered if it was one of those fiancé’s that were supposed to start arriving. Tama was still standing there as the same limo was exiting the Estate grounds in a rather quick amount of time.

He found that a little strange, but nonetheless the monkey walked over to the part of the gate that opened and waved at the security cameras. After a moment the gates opened and Tamashii walked through the gates. As they closed the behind him, he saw the new knew comer standing at one of the many paths leading further into the grounds. This was certainly one of the fiancé’s, but the question was who’s fiancé was this man supposed to be and had any of the other fiancé’s arrived yet? Well, Tamashii could ask the guy, but he didn’t exactly like talking to strangers simply because he didn’t trust them. It didn’t look like anyone had accompanied this guy, which meant he’d likely need a guide and lucky him just happened to be the first one to spot him. Great.

Sighing, Tamashii walked over to the mystery fiancé, “Hi…” Tamashii’s voice was soft, though he hoped that the other guy could still hear him, “Which house do you need?”

It was a warm summer day, and Kazumi was laying in a field of lavender. It was his most favorite place to be. It was calm quiet and no one expected anything of him. But there was a nagging feeling in the back of Kazumi's mind that told him he couldn't stay here. He didn't belong here. He was meant to be somewhere else. And try as he might, Kazumi couldn't get the nagging feeling to disappear completely. Instead, it only got loud, as per the sound of his eldest sisters pestering, high pitched voice. "Kazumi, you are making our family stronger." His mother's voice. "It's what's best for you." And finally his father's voice. "Everyone has to grow up at some point." The last one made Kazumi cringe. His family thought of him as nothing more than a sore point, and had for a long time. They felt like he was babied, spoiled, even though Kazumi never asked for much. He sighed as the voices continued to get louder and louder...

Kazumi opened his eyes slowly, the passing scenery doing nothing to quell the feelings pooling in his stomach as his family continued to 'praise' the actions for where they were currently driving: to the Sohma estate. Where Kazumi would be marrying a man he's never even met. A soft sigh escaped his mouth as his bright blue eyes focused on his sisters, sitting next to him. They'd dropped the chatter and were talking amongst themselves and snickering. That made him sit up straighter. Kazumi was never exactly tall, but he was at least taller than his sisters. His eyes narrowed and his eldest sister, on the other side of the car, levelled his stare, her pink lips turning up in a smirk. "I was just telling our sister about how I packed you a few extra things." Kazumi groaned. He didn't even have to ask to know exactly what she'd meant, and he'd been misguided enough to not double check his luggage before leaving. "I hate you so much Kiko." Kiko just smiled. "But Kazumi, you'll look so... pretty. Maybe he won't even mind that he's marrying such a loser. Your looks are all you've got to offer, baby brother." The words stung a lot more than Kazumi let on as he turned his attention back out the window. Was looks really all he had to offer?

Kazumi bit his lower lip as the estate came into view, the family car pulling in to the beautiful estate, where Kazumi found his eyes widening. Everything was beautiful. If the buildings and land were this perfect, how amazing were the people that lived within? Kazumi was becoming more and more self conscious as the seconds ticked by. The car pulled up outside the main building, and Kazumi opened his door quietly. He noticed a pair of others not too far away, but he didn't want to disrupt their conversation. Instead, he gave a quiet, "Goodbye Father, Mother, Sisters." before climbing out and pulling out his luggage from the trunk, taking a deep breath of the refreshing color spring air, before approaching the others. "H-hello?" He bowed quickly. "A-are either of you here for t-the party?" He cursed himself for stuttering at a time like this, but he just couldn't help all the emotions rushing through him.

The Ox's Bachelor

A soft breeze rustled through Yuji's hair as he turned to look around him, taking in the views of the area around him. It was simply beautiful. The Murase estate was more simple, and designed to not have as much nature around it beyond the trees that surrounded it. To see the simple elegance that this land offered was stunning. At the sound of someone approaching, he turned to look at them, taking in the appearence of the young man before him. Remembering his manners, Yuji bowed deeply, "Hajimemashite1!" He straightened his postured, "I'm Murase Yuji, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

He nervously played with his hands as he looked the young man over, biting his lower lip softly before he caught himself and stopped that bad habit. "Ah, I'm here to see Ox-san." He felt a small blush settle across his cheeks. His attention was called to the side of him where another young man came up, Yuji felt a smile spread across his lips as he nodded, knowing that the young man was probably just as nervous as he was. "Hai! I'm Murase Yuji, it's a pleasure to make you're acquaintance."

He was thankfully his Grandmother had made sure that he was well-mannered, letting him always make a good impression. After all, someone who was polite was always better received than someone who was rude. Perhaps he could even make a few friends that were ones he made himself instead of people his Grandfather pushed at him.

Tamashii felt slightly relieved that this fiancé was not his fiancé. Personally, the monkey disliked being forced into an arrange marriage, but it’s what the Head of the Sohma wanted and therefore he had no say in the matter. He nodded as the guy greeted him and introduced himself. Yuji was apparently the Ox’s fiancé, who didn’t actually look too bad. At the sudden sound of yet another male voice, the monkey jumped slightly. Turning he saw yet another young man that he didn’t know and assumed it to be another one of the fiancé’s that were arriving. Speaking to one stranger wasn’t so bad, but now that there was two of them the soft spoken monkey was somewhat regretting going on his run this morning. If he hadn’t gone on his run then he wouldn’t have run into these two at all…

Yuji was already turning to the newcomer and confirming that they were also here for the party. Of course Tamashii was encouraged to go to the party as well and he did like family parties, but tonight’s was different. Tonight’s party was not just for himself and his cousins, but for the zodiac’s fiancé’s as well. Tama wasn’t sure if he liked the idea of sharing the zodiac shrine with strangers, though of course the idea of the party was to allow the zodiac to get to know their fiancé’s. Still, it wasn’t something Tama was exactly looking forward to tonight. Ideally he spent his nights practicing his guitar and singing to his tom cat or reading a good book, but that clearly wasn’t an option for tonight. Tonight he was being forced to be social because the Sohma Head decided that this was happening.

“…I’m Sohma, Tamashii,” Tama introduced himself softly, not in the most polite way as Yuji had introduced himself, but Tama didn’t care. It always took him a good while to trust anyone new in his life and his these fiancé’s were no exception to that rule. "I can take you to Seijuro, Murase-san." Tama then addressed Kazumi, “And which zodiac are you looking for?”

It was early morning, the sun was gleaming down and the nice cool wind had made their way into one particular opened window. As the breeze had ventured in, it had made its way over onto a messy bed when the sound of rustling could be heard. There, underneath the blanket laid a dark charcoal hair male with pale skin and baggy eyes that had slept so soundly. Not one creature has yet to disturbed him, despite today's special occasion, however, with the sound of a very annoying alarm (his phone), it woke him up completely. Hands reaching out as it had been extended to grab onto the device when the hand quickly swipe off the device and slipped it underneath its covered. Small little yawns could be heard when the bed sheet began to fumble and jumbled all into one big mess as it was being tossed over to the side of the bed. Sitting up, the man groaned in disbelief hating the fact of getting himself ready for the day.

Swinging his feet over to the side of his bed, the man took another look at his phone. He had received a text message from his loving mother: Reluctantly opening the message, he silently read the text.

                                Subject: Tsu-Tsu
                                Received from: Mother
Tsuneo, are you awake yet? I've already picked up your suit from the dry cleaner, so all you have to do is get yourself ready for the night.
Make sure to be kind and courteous to your betrothed, otherwise, I'll come knocking on your door--
Oh heaven's no, I'll have Haemon come check up on you since he lives in the same household as you.
Perhaps having him around will eventually make your day better. Have fun!
                                -Love, mom-

Blankly staring at the text, a small groan had left his lips. His mother had always worried herself over him. As he recalled, his father past away when he was young age and not long after that, his mother worked hard to provide food and shelter for him, unfortunately, due to her job overseas, he ended up staying here at the Main House, not to mention, that idiotic Dog, Haemon as well. It's not as though he hated him. The two had been friends since they were little so it was kind of weird how the dog and the tiger had gotten along so well. Whatever, as long as the other isn't a bother or in vice versa then things would be fine the way they are now. Speaking of which, Tsuneo hadn't seen nor heard the dog all morning. He wonder where did that idiotic Haemon had ran off to. Getting off of his bed, Tsu ventured toward his window as he glanced out the window. It was early indeed and the wind had picked up a bit but had seemed to calm down for the leaves has yet not dropped down. Thinking, Tsu left the windowsill when he gradually slipped off of his clothing, little bits of pieces falling off of his shoulders as they slipped onto the ground. By this time, he had already made it to the bathroom to take a nice warm and welcoming shower.

About a good twenty minutes later, Tsu had finally gotten out and wore his new attire. Slipping on his undergarment, he soon wore a gray tank top along with his black denim black pants. Not long after that, he grabbed his nearby black coat as he slipped on his shoes and made his way out of his room. The scent of the morning dew reminiscing into the air had filled his nostrils with the sensation of a fresh new day. Just as he made his way out, all he heard was a loud THUD coming from outside. Going to the nearby window, he blinked and caught sight of Haemon. Seeing the look on his face was priceless but noticing how he has not yet move, he figured that the man must be thinking about something stupid at the moment.

Leaning forward over onto the window, Tsuneo rest the palm of his hand onto his chin as his elbow rested onto the windowsill when he finally spoke, "...Having a bad morning so far, Haemon? Seems to me, you're sleep had been disturbed by your fellow black bird, the raven..." A small smile perked onto his lips when he glance toward the nearby door and made his way out to where Haemon was. Reaching the man, he extended his hand out to him as he knelt a little forward so that the other could take his hand and get his a** off the ground. "...Are you going to take my hand and get up or are you just going to lay there while in a daze and looking confuse, hm?"

He had risen early with the sun. By the time most people were just beginning to stir, he had already been wide awake taking a stroll in the chilly morning air. He didn't care much for the cold, but wrapped up in a fluffy winter coat along with a scarf over his nose and mouth and a hat and gloves, he was prepared for any weather at this point. The silence of the cold April morning was rather calming, but it was soon broken by the small chatter of various song birds that had toughed out the winter here in the city of Kimotoro. They fluffed their feathers in protest against a wind that blew by making the person bundled in winter clothing shiver. The tiny birds looked down from their perches on high up branches before they flew down to the new stranger, landing on his person. He let a small smile creep up onto his face that was covered by the scarf, but even so, one could tell that he was happy as more small birds decided to make him their new perch.

Mareo had walked into the Sohma's private park where he approached the twelve shrines of the Shegxiao or Symbolic Animals of the Zodiac. Each animal had their own small shrine, except for the cat, which was left out. The tall, brown haired fellow strolled with his bird companions to the shrine of the dragon. He stood in front of it for a few minutes, just staring at the dragon's jade eyes as its body coiled out a quartz pearl at its center. Sighing, he reached out to pick off a few dead leaves and flowers that had managed to lodge themselves in the stone dragon's scales over the winter. His long fingers brushed over the dragon's snout before his arm fell back to his side and he turned away from the stone replica of his other side.

The dragon walked all the way back to the main Sohma residence. It was quiet and still rather early, so Mareo didn't announce himself back at the home. He also still had the birds with him as they did not want to leave him. Many of them had poofed their feathers up to fight against the chilly weather outside while others had managed to find the nooks and crannies of Mareo's outerwear and proceed to hide in them. A small laugh came out of his throat when one of the sparrows had found a comfy place in Mareo's scarf. It sat directly underneath his chin and the feathers of the bird's head tickled his skin. Stopping at a small patch of garden, Mareo attempted to get the birds to go back into the small tree next to him. A few left him quickly while others, primarily those buried in his clothing, stayed put until the dragon forcibly removed them and placed them all together on a branch before waving good-bye and heading inside the house.

Stripping himself of his outewear, Mareo put it away before walking into the kitchen. He shivered the entire way there before passing by the thermostat and turning the heat up to around eighty degrees. He didn't care if other Sohma's complained that it was hot inside the house, he couldn't be cold or else he'd transform. Whenever the poor man was too cold, he would transform into his spirit form: an Asian Lung Dragon. Other Sohma's that were afflicted with the Dragon Spirit turned into a seahorse rather than a pure, scaled dragon, but Mareo had been one of the unlucky ones to transform into a mythical beast.

As the house warmed itself, Mareo felt better and he proceeded to prepare himself some omurice, a favorite dish of his when he was a kid. It was a rather simple meal so it wasn't too hard for the man to make. As he prepared the food, he thought about the day's future events. That day, he was to meet his betrothed. The head of the household wanted to marry off his Zodiac, but even to this moment, it confused the dragon as to why in particular. Would his betrothed accept him or outright abandon him? Mareo hoped the earlier since he had very little love in his life and wanted someone he could be close to and in return, they give him the comfort he needed. Sighing a bit, the dragon finished off the dish by folding the egg over the rice and sliding it onto a plate. He didn't bother putting ketchup on it since he hated the stuff. He thought it overly salty and just nasty in general. Sitting down at the table, he stared out the window while he munched away at his breakfast.

                                                              ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

C'mon, Haemon, get up. He told himself, but it hurt too much. Especially his head. Well, it didn't really hurt, just . . . Well, there was no words to really describe the feeling, other than heavy. It was the only word that seemed to fit, but even then it wasn't right. Damn, hopefully he didn't have a concussion. What a great way to start the day. Speaking of which, a familiar voice called to him, joking about his current mishap. Ha ha. So funny. Let's see how he liked falling off a roof.

A small humming whine escaped the male, before he found his friend standing over him. "But I think I broke something, Tsu~." He whimpered, "It hurts so much to move, I think I'll die if I have to stand up." Sure felt like he would if he tried, but he knew he couldn't just lay here forever. Crap. A groan left him before he reached out for the offered hand, grasping the other's tightly as he began to pull himself up to his feet, but not without whimpering a few times. Although once up, he was ready to go back down. He was pretty sure things weren't suppose to be so shaky, the man almost falling over from just standing still. Okay, no more roof naps for a long time.

"Y-You have to help me sit down somewhere or I'm gonna fall on my face and die. Ooh . . . I'm so dizzy." His free hand gripped the other's shoulder for support, knowing he might seem a little dramatic, but ********. He just needed a moment to recover and then he'd be good as new. Well, that's what he was hoping for at least. Though, he was sure he'd be fine, Haemon was actually a tough cookie, but he liked to be dramatic. Who knows why, really.

Hovering over Haemon, Tsuneo waited but as soon as the man had mentioned something about being broken, a small frown embedded onto his face. What would an idiot be thinking about sleeping on the damn roof when there's a place to sleep inside? Sometimes, Tsu did wonder if the dog ever thought of sleeping inside a nice cozy room with a bed but...seeing the circumstances, a dog must felt obligated to sleep outside if he so wishes to. Rolling his eyes at the thought of Haemon sleeping outside, he turned his attention back to the other, "You, stop being over dramatic. Every time you do something, something always get you back. Like the saying goes, "Karmas a b***h". Even so, karma wouldn't be following you now, would it?" A small grin appeared on his lips again when his friend had taken a hold of his own as he pulled the other up to his feet. The sound of Haemon whimpering was rather annoying and yet it sounded sad as well, well, not sad but hurtful or when a dog gets in trouble or is hurt, they tend to whine for attention or needs. It's too bad they're not like cats whereas they land on their feet or mind their own business and doesn't get themselves into trouble. In any case, poor ole Haemon just has bad luck with Mother Nature and its lovely creatures.

When Haemon had asked to sit elsewhere, Tsu scowled at how heavy the other was, despite that the other is an inch taller but the man himself is a bit buff, more buff than anyone he had known around the Sohma household. Even so, the man may have had an appetite for food as well as he (Tsu), at least he didn't weigh that much like him. "You're damn heavy...I can only do so much when you're leaning on me fully with that body of yours, Haemon..." Tsuneo replied, "And if you're that dizzy, you definitely need to go see a doctor. Do you want me to call one for you, unless you want me to cross examine you?" He deviously grinned, as he licked his own lips only to find the other placing his hand onto his shoulder for support.

Shifting his weight, Tsuneo latched an arm around Haemon's waist as he pulled him against his side while he pulled Hae's other arm over onto the back of his neck only to walk the other toward the empty bench that was nearby. "You know, you acting like this, I don't even know what my mother sees in you. She's always telling you to keep an eye on me when I should be the one keeping an eye on you..." He shook his head, "Above everything else, I suppose it doesn't hurt to keep an eye on me after all..." He shrugs and placed Haemon onto the empty bench before seating himself right beside him. "...now that I think about it, what are your plans for tonight aside from meeting your betrothed and such. Are you going to ask him to the party or what are you going to do, hm?" Tsuneo questioned the dog and looked at the Sohma's courtyard seeing how flourished their yard had become over the months of planting the beautiful colored flowers he turned to look at Haemon again as he awaited for his answer.

Karma was punishing him? What for? And he was pretty sure the guy who said that was talking about a peeler named Karma. "Ah, Tsu, you're funny." He chuckled softly but winced. Oi, he was going to be hurting awhile. But it was true Haemon never had the best of luck, then again, why would he? It's not like he ever needed it and his bouts of misfortune meant no one else was getting hurt but him. He'd rather take the universe's blows than have someone else go through it. And what didn't kill you made you stronger. No pain, no gain, right?

Red flared acrossed the mutt's face as the other commented on his weight, even though most of it was muscle mass, but he was this slight thing like most of the family. In fact, he could probably carry a couple of the guys in his arms, but that was not a good idea for the moment. "Well, if you weren't such a girl and put some real muscle on you, we wouldn't have this problem." It was a jest and he was certain the other knew that. Although, talk of a doctor made the dog uncomfortable. There were experiences with doctors and hospitals that he didn't talk about with anyone, so he always worried some stupid MD might blab about things that weren't meant to be heard. "N-No! . . . Heh, but I might take you up on that offer, Tsu." He grinned like the doofus he was, but of course he didn't need Tsu to look at him. If anything, it might be some bruising and not much else. If he'd broken anything, he'd definitely know it. Besides, he was fine with making these sorts of jokes with Tsu. It wasn't like they were that related, hence the reason no one knew anything about his folks. Apparently one had to go pretty far back to find his familial connection. Maybe that's why his folks dumped him off here when he was but a tiny ankle biter.

Yet, he didn't make a peep of objection when the other helped him to the lone bench, rather thankful for its closeness. Though, Tsu did say some things that made him think for a few moments, waiting until he got himself comfortable, done so by leaning himself against Tsu before he answered. "You know, I think it's because she knows how much we need each other. Growing up the way we did, with what we are, wasn't and never will be easy. Besides, you're like my brother. You and your mom are the only real family I've ever had and you don't know how much that means to me. I owe you so much, Tsu, and because of that I'd do anything for you. Like getting my a** kicked by Haishi Kawazumi when I was twelve because he was talking s**t about you. Remember it was the day I came over to get help with my renku poem and your mom freaked out about how much my nose was bleeding all over my shirt." He laughed light-heartedly before he closed his eyes and gave a soft little hum. "Besides, every boy needs his dog and you needed me badly, Tsu, just as I needed you." They balanced each other out, not just as people though. Haemon always valued Tsu's friendship because of it and if Tsu ever needed anything, Haemon would be there whenever he called.

Take a small breath, Haemon allowed himself to carry on to the current situation at hand. That's right, the party and his new fiance . . . A small frown appeared on his face as he looked up at the other. "I don't know. I mean . . . " He sighed rather heavily, "I'll probably ask him to the party, but that's about it. I don't even know if they'll like me for me. No one ever has, so why get my hopes up?" The frown seemed to deepen as he thought more about it. "Everyone I met loves me, but none of them can be in love with me. And now . . . Well, I always did want to get married, but I want it to be someone who wants to be with me no matter what, to wake up every morning and just to be able to hold that person and share all my secrets with them, good and bad. I don't even know if I'll ever get to have that anymore." For someone who was always so happy, Haemon knew he was being one hell of a Debbie Downer, but it was how he felt inside. After all, he wasn't a lucky guy, even Tsu knew that. Worse yet was knowing that even if he was fortunate enough to end up with someone good, there was no way for Haemon to be truly affectionate with them. And that was something Haemon treasured as an ideal. To be able to express one's love with sweet kisses, a sly touch of the hand, or to truly be together was a beautiful thing and to be stripped of that was agonizing for the emotional animal. It was like chasing his tail, knowing he'd never catch it.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, the remarkable words that Haemon had said about Tsuneo not being a girl should of have put on some muscle came to his mind when he gave his best friend a scowl. Sure he may not have been a girl but as a man like himself, he didn't need to exercise and such. Tsu was too damn lazy and prefer to do things at his own pace and exercising isn't a part of him. Being the tiger, he's rather playful and get straight to the point, although, he does love to play around with his prey from time to time. In any case, that wasn't even the situation at all. The current situation as of now is to just watch over this idiotic friend of his, however, after their conversation of muscles and weighs and such came to an end, the topic of Tsu calling the doctor came to play. The look on Haemon's face had looked weary, scared, almost as if his life's energy had been drain from him. Clearly seeing how quickly the other had withdrawn himself from seeing the doctor, Tsu cleared his throat a bit as he had heard his answer, "You taking my offer...?" He looked rather amused, "I hope you do because there are a lot of ways I can examined you..." He winked and licked his lips once more having a feeling that, that day will soon come. It was only a matter of time.

After Haemon had been place and had gotten himself comfortable by leaning against him, Tsuneo's ears caught wind of the dog's answer. True, the two had grown up together when they were young. As he recalled, his very own mother had to work in order to provide, food, shelter, water and clothes for him to wear. Life as it was back then was tremendously difficult. Thinking about it now, a small smile form on his face when Haemon mentioned the two as brothers, of course Tsu had always thought of the other as a brother too. More than likely, the idiotic younger brother who always gets himself into trouble. It was a never ending thing with having the other around him. Despite their current relationship as friends, the two can be a bit of an oddball. "Yeah you better admit that without my mother and I, you wouldn't even be here today--" Tsu stopped himself again but this time, he extended his hand out to take a hold of the dog's cheeks and without warning he tugged on them. Pulling Haemon's cheeks really hard, he continued on, "You don't have to do anything for me. You just be yourself like you usually are even after you're married to whoever your betrothed is. That way, I wouldn't have had to worry too much about you and your wellbeing," Tsu stated giving him a blunt and honest look as he pulls his hands away from the other's cheeks. "As for Haishi Kawazumi, I don't give a damn if he was talking s**t about me, even so, you shouldn't of have gotten yourself involve, Haemon. It is easier to ignore than to bite, wouldn't you think? It'll make the other party member feel stupid as though taunting themselves for being ridiculous..." Tsu explained knowing that Haemon had always had his back and even up to this day, he still does.

After a few minutes later, Tsuneo took a deep inaudibly breath as he quietly let them out. When he had mentioned about what Haemon would do, he gradually adjusted his coat although at the corner of his eyes, he caught sight of Haemon frowning slightly at him. Fully turning his body around and shifting his legs to give his friend the doubtful look, he leaned forward again but this time his delicate fingers went up to give his friend a pat on the head as though smoothing out his hair. "Why get your hopes up? You know, if it were me and I wasn't a part of the cursed or a Sohma, I would of have fallen for you...Even so, I believe you shouldn't be thinking like that. You'll only bring yourself underground to the pits of hell, however..." His hand trailed down onto Haemon's cheek as he gently caressed them before lifting the man's chin upward so that their eyes could hazily gazed at one another, "...all you have to do is patiently wait and believe in yourself that your betrothed will love you no matter what you are, or how you are...and your dream of always wanting to get marry, it's clearly right there in front of your eyes. You just have to grasp onto it and make them fall for you...That's all you have to do, wouldn't you say so?" Tsu chuckled as he removed his fingers away from Haemon's chin knowing that his dear friend had seemed to talk about the negativities again which was of course normal for Tsuneo. He had known the zodiac dog for quite a long time now so nothing could really fazed him unless...Haemon ends up falling in love then that is totally a different thing.

The Ox's Bachelor

Yuji beamed at the young man, "It is an honor to meet you, Sohma-san. I look forward to our acquaintance!" He quickly bowed forward again, wanting to make sure he stayed polite. After all, he had said that he would lead him to Seijuro which lead Yuji to guess that it was his future fiance's name and he couldn't have stopped the blush that settled across his cheeks if he wanted to. Seijuro, that was a handsome and honorable name. He couldn't wait until he got the chance to meet his fiance and get to know him. Now that he knew his name, he wasn't so intimidated by meeting the man.

His brother had pulled him aside before he had left, slightly confusing Yuji because he didn't know a time where his brother had actively sought for his attention. He had passed a book to Yuji, making him curious to know what it was. He had made him promise not to look at it until he was in his new rooms, and to not show anyone. Personally Yuji hadn't understood exactly what was so pressing about the secrecy of the book but he had agreed and had quickly put it away in one of his bags before one of the maids had come to collect him earlier that morning. He guessed he would find out momentarily once Sohma-san lead him to his new home.

Whatever the case may be, Yuji couldn't wait to start decorating his room, he had a few personal books he wanted to put away (ones his Grandfather had allowed him to keep) along with some mementos from his brother's and sister's travels to other countries. Mementos that his Grandfather surely would have made him throw away if he had known about them. It was silly items really, a few pictures, some of the different currency, a small bottle of sand, a scandalous book from his sister that still made him blush every time he looked at it, and a few other items.

It was his precious items, considering he didn't own many and he couldn't wait to make the room his - something he could be proud of that had his own touch to it, not something dictated by his Grandfather or his family. He shifted his feet, turning his attention away from his thoughts and back to the two people in front of him.
