Winter Aster Knight
Winnie, Music Prince, Ice Prince
Music | Seventeen | 5'8"

Dorm: Room 008
Goal: Singer
Personality:
Just like the season he's named after, Winter can be described as cold. He doesn't very much enjoy talking with others, though if he has to he will. To anyone who doesn't really know him, which is to say most people, he gives off the impression that is very mature and serious. In actuality though he can be extremely childish, often pouting and throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. Also, he has a tendency to try and get back at people who have done anything to wrong him. Mainly he does this by pulling horrible pranks on them. One last thing, he very much doesn't like people trying to be affectionate with him. It makes him feel extremely uncomfortable because he is easily flustered.

History:
Winter's life was fairly normal during his elementary years, that is if you call getting hurt a lot normal. His older brother, Ren, had a tendency to abuse and bully him due to jealousy over their parents treating the younger boy better than him. The young Winter normally took these beatings without too much complaint. To him, this was his normal. On occasion though he would get back at Ren in the form of pranks. Once in fact when his brother had overdone it, he set his room on fire and blamed it on his smoking habit.
These little "battles" with his older brother continued through Winter's preteen years. In fact, they were even worse than they had been when the boy was in elementary school. Winter often would go to school with multiple bruises and scratches. One would think that someone would try to find out why the boy was always hurt, but no. It seemed that no one really cared, and honestly Winter didn't care much either. He didn't want other people butting into his business anyway is what he always told himself. It was around that time that Winter began to isolate himself from others.
Later things only got worse when his parents ended up divorcing due to them always arguing about, well, him. The now thirteen year old Winter was put under the custody of his mother, while his older brother, age twenty by then, had finally decided to move out on his own. For the first time in thirteen years, Winter's life was so completely normal and peaceful, and it bothered the boy to no end. Despite his older brother always beating him up and fighting with him, Winter thought the guy brought entertainment to his life. Without him the boy didn't know what to do. His mother took note of how Winter seemed bored and depressed and forced him into enrolling to his school's choir, which she was in charge of.
Winter was extremely talented at singing, which was a surprise to himself, but no surprise to his mother who was also a fairly gifted singer. He enjoyed singing in the choir very much, especially when he got solo parts during songs. The whole school seemed to admire him and his voice. He was even scouted by a few record companies, all of which he had turned down due to him believing his voice wasn't good enough yet. Winter then begun taking private and vocal singing lessons and eventually he was invited to attend Starlight Academy for talented boys when he hit high school age.
Honestly, Winter didn't want to attend at first, but his mother forced him to go. When he got there though, he found that he loved it. He no longer had to sing in a group, and he was never bored. His first year at school flew by fast, and despite him never actually really talking to others, he became extremely popular. It was during his second year at school there that he had become the top student of the Music class earning him the title of the Music Prince and from there his popularity only grew more.

Akil Nabirye Graves
Aki
fashion | sixteen | 5'9''

Dorm: 002
Goal: magazine model; specifically for lolita fashion
Personality: akil is the type of guy who would say he's never met a stranger. you pretty much get what you see when it comes to him; a personality as bright as his hair. he's very affable and considers just about anyone he meets a friend until proven otherwise. while that's dandy and all, he's too friendly to a fault and is overly trusting of others, assuming people are by default nice. he's not quite as naïve as he was in his younger years, but has shown to still be gullible. that aside, akil is also a very touchy-feely person. he expresses his emotions and affection through physical contact. even when having just a regular conversation, he's been known to casually put his hand on the other person's shoulders. it was clarified that he actually doesn't care about how little he knows a person when he was seen wildly embracing somebody he'd never met before just out of sheer joy.

akil is flamboyant, to say the least. his exuberance and playfulness always seems to get people's attention. he's also rather feminine, but considering his profession requires a lot of crossdressing, his femininity is basically required. not to say he's completely girly, but he's girlier than what most other guys would feel comfortable around. though, his friendly, feminine attitude mixed with his surprisingly deep voice is actually pretty comical in a way.

History:
"Dad, why isn't Mama coming?"
Akil Nabirye, a bubbly five year-old boy, had asked his father whom was seated next to him in the cheap, torn-up plane seats.

"Her mama is sick and she has to stay to take care of her." He had told him.
Later in life he would find out that wasn't true, but he wasn't too broken up about it when he did. He barely knew his mother aside from old videos from when he was two and three and photos of her cradling his infant body in her arms, so, as cruel as it was to think, he decided no love was lost.

At the age of five, Akil was taken from Egypt to America by his father, Aiden Graves. Because he was so young, he was able to adjust to his new life with ease and as he grew older eventually forgot about his previous life, as people do. Since he started living in America with his father, his life had been fairly normal and was lived happily. Aiden was a dentist, so he made a pretty good paycheck (though why anybody would want to see a dentist named Dr. Graves was beyond him), but nothing super spectacular. When he entered his preteen years, he began to take an interest in Japanese fashion, namely the lolita subculture. However, 99% of it was, well, targeted at girls. He kept hush about it, afraid of his father's disapproval, until his twelfth Christmas.

He opened his laptop and took the browser to a bookmark among many, "Hey Dad, can you get me this for Christmas?"
His father blinked, squinted, scratched the stubble on his chin, "Isn't that a dress, Akil?"
"Is that a no?"
His father looked at him in silence, moments later shaking his head. "Of course I won't. That design won't suit you at all. What about that one?" He pointed to a suggestion preview on the left of the webpage, "That pattern would look cuter on you."

He was pretty sure his father didn't really understand Akil's new-found hobby, but what mattered is that he accepted it. And provided the funds for the dresses, that was important too. He began to feel comfortable about himself and his interests and began to wear outfits that ranged from showy and elegant to simple and cute on a daily basis. Not long after, he was scouted by a children modeling agency at thirteen. Though he gained a fair amount of fame from his run, the company didn't align with his interests. But, he was recommended Starlight Academy by one of the agents there and applied there once he reached high school age.

And there ends the first chapter in his story, the second and perhaps even the last currently in progress.

Jun Akio Masushita
Fashion Prince, Juni
Fashion | Seventeen | 5'9

Dorm: 005
Goal: Model
Personality: Jun tends to be very reserved. He doesn’t get along well with people in general and shows absolutely no affection. Others aren’t exactly his cup of tea so he pushes them away as much as possible. Being a prince or one of the higher ranked comes a sassy attitude. He thinks highly of himself only adding to his total butt head attitude and sassiness. Jun can be very daring and bold he isn’t afraid to try new things and when it comes to modeling that’s a good trait to have. Although he may not like it he stands out in a crowd part of the reason he has chosen the modeling lifestyle. To a chosen few he is very sarcastic making himself seem like a big jerk. He only uses this sarcastic attitude in secret though he keeps it hidden as much as possible in order to keep his image up. The only time you might see this rough side of him is if you really irritate him and you just so happen to be in a secluded place with him. Though he may seem like a hard a** the majority of the time he does have his soft spot. For what? Well super cute things whether it be a teddy bear or just a super cute boy.
History: Unlike most Jun grew up with six other siblings all boys. He was the quiet middle child that seemed to just be there. As a child he always kept to himself rather than get in the middle of his brother’s insanity. He was thought to be the independent one that just did as they were told and nothing more. The truth is though that it wasn’t because he didn’t want to get in the middle of their crazy stuff or was just very quiet he just didn’t get along with them. To Jun they all were unbearable and just being in one space with them for a minute did his head in.

He found growing up that he couldn’t stand people in general let alone his family. While in middle school though he somehow found someone he could actually stand being near for long periods of time. This person was a girl named Yuri she came from a big shot family her mother a fashion designer and her father some big business owner. Though he didn’t pay attention much to what all her family was like he did notice the little things specifically about her. Over time he came to love her a lot probably because she was very shy and didn’t talk much but another aspect that could’ve gotten him was the cuteness.

One day Yuri’s mother was in need of some models for her show and quick. Seeing as the show was for a preteens line of clothing she knew just who to go to. Within a second of walking in the door both Yuri and Jun were dragged to the back room and dressed up. The only thing said to them was and I quote “Walk and don’t screw up.” First Yuri then him it was a frightening experience for the first couple seconds but quickly he got used to things. He was able to walk down the runway as if he were just another model but in reality was some kid off the street.

Once back in the back room Yuri’s mother hugged them both and even praised Jun saying he really knew what he was doing. To Jun it felt like a natural thing all the lights, loud music and camera flashing was so normal but thrilling that he offered to do it again any time. Gladly Yuri’s mother took him up on that offer and later threw him in all kinds of shows. For some time he dated Yuri but later had to break it off because he wanted to focus on his career. Though his relationship with Yuri didn’t last long his love for modeling did and eventually threw him in the spot light.

This spot light career lasted a while but eventually dimmed down some. His manager said it was because he still had much to learn but in his opinion he was just perfect. None the less he still had a letter sent from Starlight Academy and through some encouragement from his family and manager he accepted the invitation. At first he thought there was nothing more to teach him but after one year he found this was incorrect. He’d never admit it though and so onto another year with him he strives to be the best there is.

Ryou Ishizaki
Trap-chan
Acting | 18 | 5'11"

Dorm: 002
Goal: Voice actor, for both male and female roles
Personality: Ryou is the kind of guy who prefers to move to his own beat. One of his most distinguishable features is his eclectic fashion. He dresses for any genre ranging from drag to K-pop, sometimes crossdressing for the sole purpose of performing pranks. He has an energetic and outgoing way of carrying himself as well. He almost always is smiling, whether the smile is natural or drawn on his face with make-up. He loves to meet new people and talk (though sometimes to excess when he's had a lot of sugar). He is also fond of jokes and harmless pranks. However, beneath his smiles and jokes lies a caring and compassionate friend who will drop everything in a heartbeat to help somebody close to him. Though he finds it easy to make friends, he finds it hard to fully trust people. Though he longs for someone to call his love, he's never sure if he can seal the deal when the time is ripe. Sometimes, talking and even thinking about love outright depresses him. However, depression or no, he is always hopeful (and a little poetic as well) when it comes to romance.
History: Ryou was an adopted child of two gay men, both of whom were famous drag performers. Home life was never the same from one day to the next in Ryou's household. Every day, his two dads would run new acts and songs over with each other for future performances, sometimes collaborating when they saw the opportunity. From their nightly planning sessions, Ryou became interested in music and decided to try to become a singer in middle school. He researched as much as he could about performing, which then got him interested in dancing, drama, and drag as well after seeing a few of his fathers' performances. Every step of the way, his fathers were there to see that he succeeded, funding his dance and acting lessons as well as making him drag outfits for him and encouraging him to wear them in public. However, not everybody was as supportive as his fathers were. Throughout elementary school, he was bombarded with horrible diatribes and physical violence, which resulted in him being home-schooled for three years. For a time, his family constantly had to live under the fear of discrimination; every time one of his fathers went out to perform, Ryou was never sure if they would come back home safely. For the most part, they did return safely, vowing that they would soon sway their naysayers with enough dedication. However, after one ambitious trip to a more conservative town, everything Ryou knew was turned on its head.

His fathers were killed when he was in 9th grade on their 20th anniversary gig that commemorated their becoming drag performers. With nobody to look after him or sponsor his dreams, he went into foster care, coming into the house of an abusive old man, his OCD-afflicted wife, and their 24-year-old son who was focused on his voice acting career. At this time, Ryou wasn't sure what he wanted to do anymore since he couldn't continue what he once was doing and saw no interesting anything else. On top of that, his foster parents didn't like anything that his fathers supported, especially the fact that he crossdressed at all. Throughout his time with his foster father, Ryou's new brother filled the void left by his adoptive fathers, taking him to his recording studio, teaching him things about voice acting, and protecting him from the violence at home. Once his brother made enough money from his appearances in drama CDs, he moved out, taking Ryou with him and officially adopting him. From there, life seemed to ease up more. He went back to middle school, started taking voice acting lessons from his brother, and began to work towards his new dream of becoming a voice actor.

Ryou was incredibly gifted for his age. Due to his strong falsetto from singing lessons, he was able to make a convincing female voice as well as a strong male voice. His first appearance in a major work was in a yandere drama CD titled ヤンデレ学園, wherein he played the roles of a senior boy with a superiority complex and an obsessive girlfriend who hated the student council president for her looks. The CD got rave reviews and launched him into fame at age 15. Since that first appearance, he appeared in two more CDs before high school began, during which he appeared in only one CD, but also voiced various roles in a few yaoi OVAs, even voicing the protagonist in a couple of them. It was during his second year of high school that his brother recommended he look at Starlight Academy as a potential choice for college. When he received a letter of invitation, he simply couldn't say no, leaving high school after his second year to go to Starlight. At first, he felt like he didn't really fit in, but after a while, he found his niche as a mischievous trap. With a new year ahead of him, he has only the brightest hopes for the future.

Ashley Alistair White
The Blind Beauty
Fashion | Seventeen | 6'2"

Dorm: 004

Goal: Magazine model

Personality: He didn't know how the world really worked. He was almost always holed up in the White's Residence, a huge mansion, but he is very, very open. He could trust almost anyone with anything, which does cause him to be very worrisome. It is a whole lot worse because anything bad could happen to him anytime without his awareness, being blind and all. Despite possibly being in danger almost all of the time, he is very kind. If someone asks him for help, he will help with no seconds thoughts nor hesitation. After all, he has been taught many times that you should treat others the way you'd like to be treated. He'd love to be treated with respect and kindness, which is why he acts in such a manner. However, his personality could just be the very thing that's constantly endangering him since others could just easily take advantage of the kind, young man. His naïveté just makes it much worse.

Despite having a natural akin to that of a docile and honest creature, he is often depicted as the completely opposite in his photo shoots. Dressed in hip, trendy clothes, he'd try to act what they implicated as sexy. He'd otherwise often make explicit poses dressed in next to nothing most of the time. It seems that girls are very much into that sort of things, another thing Ashley would never be able to completely understand and process in his brain.

History: Born blind, Ashley Alistair White has always lived his entire life in darkness. He didn't know the face of his mom, he didn't know the face of his dad. He could never see anybody's faces, be it that he trusts them with his whole heart or the complete opposite. However, despite being blind, his parents never did abandon him. Blind or not blind, he was yet still their son--the son of an all-too-famous couple. Ashley's mother was a model and turned actress (born Japanese), while his father was a stage actor with a focus in musical theatre (born to an American father and a Japanese mother). They were both very compassionate people, even if at times the mother would seem like a spoiled little princess. The two sought for a way to allow their son to see, but their attempts were to no avail. He never really did understand how many things worked, being that he never once saw light or anything at all. His parents were stumped, but they refused to give up. To this day, they're still struggling to find a solution to their son's disability.

However, what they refused to understand was that the disability never really bothered Ashley. He was happy with his life, despite not being able to see. The thing is, he didn't need to see. His sense of smell and hearing was heightened due to his loss of sight and he often finds himself indulging in music. It had always been a dream of his to become a musician of some sort, but that is quite difficult when you can't see. Playing an instrument and singing is out of the question when you cannot read lyrics nor music notes.

Not having the qualifications to become a musician doesn't mean that he didn't have the qualifications to become something else in the entertainment business. Towering over at a height of 6'2" and having a slim, pale body, he was ideal material for a model. The thing was he couldn't just walk down the runway, nervously, tapping his white cane in front of him. That meant, the only thing he could really do was pose in front of a camera and have his pictures taken to publish in magazines. Excited with this thought that he could step into a world full of musicians and other talented people, he explained his plans to his extremely supportive parents which allowed him to enroll in Starlight Academy (he was home-schooled his entire life prior to this).

Casimir Harlan
Mir
Fashion | Fourteen | Five Feet Six Inches

Dorm: Room 004
Goal: Fashion Designer
Personality: Casimir is a very my pace type of guy. Sometimes he locks himself up in his own little world, not paying attention to what's going on around him. He can fall asleep any and everywhere regardless of the situation, more often than not in weird positions. Also, he doesn't show very many emotions on his face, usually opting for a disinterested expression. This isn't because he doesn't actually care, but because he has a hard time showing emotions. Casimir depicts his emotions in the designs he makes. Though he has a hard time showing emotion on his face, he has an easier time showing a frown or scowl than a smile, so if he does smile at someone, then he really likes them.
History: Casimir was often alone as a child. His parents didn't feel much responsibility for Casimir as they were more like close friends than a married couple. This lead to Casimir not having much interaction with others during his early years. To begin with, he was always quite reserved, so as time went on, it became harder for Casimir to express his emotions.
Around this time, Casimir became interesting in art. He had a great talent for it and he found it was much easier to transfer his emotions into his art pieces than to say them aloud or wear them on his face. This only made it less necessary for Casimir to learn to show different expressions.
Casimir was already treated as an outcast for his lack of expression, but when he started school, he had a habit of just falling asleep. This made him into even more of a black sheep. Thankfully, overtime, people got used to him and his odd tendencies and began befriending him. When they found Casimir was actually quite pleasant to be around, he began making more friends. One of the friends Casimir made had an older brother involved in modelling. Casimir was invited to visit that friend's brother during a photo shoot. There, Casimir was blown away. It was not by the model, nor the equipment, but by the unique designs of the clothes. Since then, he has been interested in fashion design and shrives to become a designer.

Kris Kinsley
K
Acting | Sixteen | Five Feet Eight And A Half Inches

Dorm: Room 007
Goal: TV/Movie Actor
Personality: Kris is very social and easily makes friends. His friendly nature, along with his unique eyes, draws many people to him. Kris enjoys this attention, but also appreciates the occasional time alone. He is mostly an honest person, though sometimes he will lie to avoid having to talk about a painful subject. Also, Kris is not one to attach himself to another. He doesn't like long term relationships other than friendship. He feels they are a distraction to his goal. Only a strong willed person who can sweep him off his feet can make him budge from this stance.
History: Kris was always considered unique because he had heterochromia iridum, basically two different eye colors. This drew many people to him. After entering middle school, many people took an interest in him, but there was one particular teacher who was very interested in him, not just as a passing fancy. Kris was heterosexual at the time, so he didn't give the teacher the time of day. Still, the teacher chased after Kris. This interested Kris. He wondered why the teacher hadn't given up yet. He didn't understand, with the obstacles of gender and age difference, not to mention they were teacher and student, why the teacher kept chasing him.
Kris's cautiousness towards the teacher began to fade with time. He became more comfortable with the fact that the teacher liked him. Eventually, he even became friendly with the teacher. Of course by friendly, they weren't dating, they just went to having a close teacher student relationship. Still, the teacher continued to express his affection for Kris, while Kris continued to reject him.
Kris had gotten so used to the confession rejection occurrences between him and the teacher that he was very surprised when the teacher started becoming distant. It seems the teacher couldn't chase after Kris anymore. The teacher couldn't take being rejected any longer. Kris had not noticed the changes in the teacher's feelings nor his own budding feelings. Kris had fallen for the teacher, but the teacher no longer liked him. Not able to voice his feelings, he locked them away deep in his heart. He drowned himself in social activities and trying to achieve his goal of being an actor.

Rocco Rhys
Rococo (by fans)
Music | 17 | 5'10"

Dorm: 007
Goal: Singer
Personality: On the surface, Rocco is basically a pompous rich boy. Deep down, he's still a pompous rich boy. It's something he's grown up, and been around for most of his life, and it'll never be free from his system. Despite his flirtatious, friendly image, Rocco dislikes most physical contact, and can be rude and abrasive to the point of making people cry with his harsh words. He's not completely a lost cause though, if you can put up with his temperament issues, he's actually a very trusting friend. He's not one to go spilling secrets, or back stabbing. Rocco can still be polite, and respectful of others given the right circumstances.

Rocco also loves socializing, sometimes getting very interested in conversations and ignoring everything around him. If he's at a party he can hold face, and be polite and moderately chatty, but if he's just in a cafe or at school, he's more likely to just discuss music or some similar interests. Because of his status, he enjoys social media, and using his phone quiet often. If he's not practicing his singing, guitar, or doing school work, he's probably holed up somewhere with his phone in his face.

History: Born to a five star surgeon, and a high class defense lawyer, Rocco grew up in a comfortable, expensive manner. He bonded much with his father, and his line of clients. As the high end lawyer he was, Rocco's father dealt with some very famous, very powerful people, who were more than happy to spare a few minutes for their lawyer's son, if it would help their case. The case that interested the young boy the most, and that would further spike his interests in the musical arts, involved a popular guitarist who was being brought up on countless drug and assault charges. The case was a long one, and Rocco spent much time with this client, learning tips and tricks for playing guitar, and eventually taking lessons from the man he'd grown so fond of.

These lessons would continue for another year or so, ending with his mentor's many praises. Rocco had quite the talent for guitar, finding that it was something of a passion now for him. Rocco was only 12 at this point, and would soon drop the guitar is favor of studies, and his busy lifestyle. During a trip to a large surgeon's convention with his mother, Rocco would meet two of his best friends, and future band mates. They talked frequently, nearly every day, and came up with a plan to start an internationally famous band called 'REMOTE', based on their shared interest in music. This plan took months, almost a year to settle before they were able to come together in a sound arrangement that Kim, a boy originally from Korea, the youngest of the three, would be the main vocals. The drums would be played by Abby, a German boy who resided in the USA for schooling, and these arrangements would leave Rocco in place of the guitar and bass.

When they hit the tender ages of 16, they had become quite famous on the internet, and had been contacted by a small company for a 2 album contract. They happily agreed, excited to think that anyone would think their music so good, it would employ legitimate contracts, and publicity. With this contract came lots more work, and it really put their skills to the test. With publicity came images, images that were meant to be upheld to utmost standard, and acted out whenever the boys could be seen by paparazzi. Rocco had been assigned the playboy, sexy and grown type. He had almost no trouble acting this out, until people began to question his lack of leading vocals in songs. The cool persona was harder to keep up with each day, and when the school year came, Rocco announced his semi hiatus, and applied to Starlight in order to better hone his vocal talents.

Cyrus Steinbach Henselman
Cy
Music | Sixteen | 5'2.5" (Yes, 2.5 does matter)

Dorm: 010
Goal: Composer
Personality: Cyrus is very polite and tried to be friendly with those that he meet. His fuse is abnormally long, and is found to be calm most of the time. Without realising it, he is a hopeless romantic, though he usually puts those thoughts away and replaces it with work. He believes that relationships, whether it be a friendship or not, is unimportant. He had to worry about school before anything else. He is not an introvert, but prefers not to strike a conversation without any good reason to. He's also shown in the past to be very intelligent, most teachers in the past believed he was always cheating on his tests. He's smart, but really slow, and also clumsy. Hand him a flight of stairs and hope he doesn't die.
History: He was handed a violin from his father at the age of 9. "With this in your hands, you could do many great things, be revolutionary. Go. Go and play it." he only remembered those words before never seeing his parents ever again. He's been an orphan for as long as he remembered, but doesn't understand why this memory of some random man handed him the violin. It was confusing, but the thought only came occasionally. He made friends with most of the children in the orphanage, with of course the few exceptions of the snotty kids with attitudes. Soon, all his friends were disappearing, one by one. He had no clue why, but it made him very sad. He didn't have as many friends to play with, and it almost started getting lonely.
Then they came. The angel to answer his prayers. A single mother came in to look at Cyrus, and ended up adopting him. What was odd is she looked similar to him, but he didn't care. He had a home. She raised him to be a very polite and kind boy, as he learned everything from his mother. He made songs for her with his violin, about how wonderful of a person she was, and how he'd always love her. He never sang, but his mother knew the feelings he had when he played the songs, and always appreciated his musical talent. She even signed him up into this prestigious performing arts academy, encouraging him to become a famous composer. He knew that she was always right, and decided that this would be a great idea for him.

Magz, El, Shu-Shu, Inferior Knight
Music | 15 | 5 ft 6 inch

Dorm: #002
Goal: Singer
Personality: Magnus is probably going to be one of the oddest people that you ever meet. He is easily excitable and entertained, Slinky's are this teens favorite thing to play with and he even wears one as a bracelet. He likes to play jokes like messing with a knob or two in the studio, but he remembers where they were before he changed them. He may like a good joke but he would never want his classmates to fail a class or have a bad recording. When this teen hits the stage he is on fire, well not literally. He has a passion for what he does and it shows in how he moves on the stage while he sings. But beware, when it comes to his friends he doesn't take any prisoners. If anyone is getting bullied or their work is being made fun of he will let his opinion known. Sure he as possibly gotten in a scuffle once or twice, but he's calmed down a bit.... we think.
History: Magnus was raised as an only child, by a single parent, his father. Sure there were tight spots every now and again. But the two of them enjoyed their life and lived it to the fullest when they could they traveled and went to concerts. While in school Magnus enrolled in any musical classes that he could. Piano, he can play it. Choir, loves it. Dance, had so much fun even if he was the only boy in the class. Sure he was called many things growing up, but he never cared because it was just a game for him. Until he won a few singing competitions and decided he wanted to be a singer.

As he hit middle school he started to get more and more annoyed with the things that the other kids were saying about him and his father. Sure, he liked hanging out with girls more than boys... and yes his father is gay. So is he, but things started to get annoying when it started to go to far he would get into fights. It wasn't until his choir teacher pulled him out of what could have been a serious brawl and dragged him to the music room for lessons and a lecture about Starlight Academy. After he learned all about the school he, was all work and well less play than usual. He worked hard to earn a place in the school by the time he hit high school. Magnus went to his auditions a nervous wreck with his music teacher and his father. And once call backs came out and then finally the letter of acceptance Magus was one overly happy teenager on the path to his dream.

Kazuya Fukushima
The Theater's Cinderella, or just "Cinderella" for short
Acting | Fifteen | 5'4"

Dorm: Room 10
Goal: Theatre Actor
Personality: To most in Starlight, Kazuya seems a rather normal, if not excessively cheerful, boy. He does't have many defining personality traits as many of the students do, and just seems to be naturally open and blend in with groups of people rather easily. He tends to bounce from group to group, especially amongst the acting students, and his personality always seems to change to accommodate whoever he's talking to. He does it unconsciously, finding ways to keep his energetic personality but prevent annoying anyone. No one thinks about it though, and off stage he blend in almost completely. That's not to say people don't pay him any attention -- in fact he's quite a likable figure in the school. He gets along with just about everyone -- except the stuffy anti-socials. He doesn't really stand out in the crowd of unique personalities though, and only really garners attention when he's on stage.

In reality though, Kazuya is just a very talented method actor. He's not really very fond of people, and is very evasive when his past becomes the topic of conversations. He's not very easily trusting, but at the same time doesn't want to be ignored. Due to his background, Kazuya can't stand being ignored or alone, so he adapted his personality to blend in with a group. He does it without thinking, and sometimes even he forgets he isn't as friendly as he pretends to be. In reality, his friendly personality is just a way to push others away from him. It exhausts him, though even he doesn't realize it sometimes. He'll often exhaust himself from pushing his friendly personality to its limit, hanging out with people day-in and day-out when he just wants to spend the day in his dorm. An introvert who acts like an extrovert, he just feels the need to have people close to make up for his childhood. He's surprisingly mature and intelligent for his age, loving to read in his down time when he's not with masses of people.

History: Let me start our story by bringing up Kazuya's nickname amongst the acting students at Starlight -- particularly the other hopeful theatre actors. "The Theater's Cinderella" may seem a peculiar name for a boy, but it fits him to a tee. It was coined due to his nature of going from being completely average off-stage, to having an overwhelming presence on-stage. Much like Cinderella due to the fairy god mother's magic, Kazuya shines on stage to the point where he seems a completely different person. You see, it was originally coined as a way to playfully tease the boy. However, what the others at the school don't know is that his is a true Cinderella story. He doesn't like talking about the past, and usually evades the topic around other students. Only a select few teachers and the headmaster know about Kazuya's background, and even then, the headmaster's the only one that knows the full story. That being said, let's begin Kazuya's Cinderella story in earnest.

The whole thing was started by Kazuya's birth itself. Of course, the secret wouldn't get out until he was seven years of age, but there was a secret behind it. You see, Kazuya's mother and father wanted nothing more than to have a child of their own. However, they were having problems conceiving, and a visit to the doctor told them it was the father's fault. It wouldn't be impossible, but it would be very difficult and unlikely. Hearing that news, Kazuya's mother and father were both devastated. His mother, however, came up with a plan. She would conceive with someone else, and keep it a secret from her husband in order to have a happy family. Well, at first it worked. Kazuya's father was overjoyed to hear they would have a child. In fact, as Kazuya grew, it became obvious that his features were practically identical to his mother's, and so his father never found out, and they were able to live happily -- or so it should have been. Unfortunately, Kazuya's is a 'Cinderella' story for a reason. There's much more to this story than that simple happy ending.

His mother couldn't keep up her charade, unfortunately. Her father found out the secret, in the worst possible way. The man she had conceived him with had called her to check in -- from what Kazuya had understood he was a rather kind and understanding man. Apparently his mother had told him she'd gotten permission from her husband, when she hadn't. Though, she probably could have if she had just asked, but that's beside the point. His father overheard the conversation, and from there Kazuya's life turned on its heels. His happy life was gone, and in fact he's already forgotten what it was like. The only real memories he has are from this point on, when his life became something out of a fairy tale or play, rather than an actual person's life.

Hateful words and bickering filled the young child's ears every day for seven years. From the ages of seven to fourteen, Kazuya was practically ignored as his parents argued day in and out. Up to the age of twelve, he might as well not have been there. The more the young boy tried to stop their arguing, with no clue as to the reasoning behind it, the more they argued. They started talking of a divorce when he was twelve, and he tried to stop that too. However, from there things got worse. The poor thing had the best intentions, trying to stop his parents from arguing. However, all he got in exchange was constant slurs of verbal abuse from his father, and lament and regret of his conception from his mother. Their words burrowed their way into the boy's head, and he started wondering if perhaps it would be better for him if he weren't in the house. He never acted, however, until the final straw was broken when Kazuya was fourteen -- when his father became physical in his abuse.

Immediately after that final straw broke, Kazuya ran away from home. It wasn't for his own sake, but for his parents'. Kazuya loved his parents, and wanted them to return to the way they were when he was little, even if he didn't remember it. With the thought process of 'it would be better if I wasn't here', the boy left home. He started bouncing between schools and part-time jobs, living in cheap 1-room apartments usually in seedier areas of town. For a time, he was even completely homeless. This is where he got his interest in Drama. He joined the Drama Club every time he changed schools. He even started doing acting skits as street performances, telling anyone from school who discovered him that it was just something he did 'for fun'. They'd often believe him, since he was so dedicated to the club.

It was during one of those acts he was sort of scouted into Starlight by one of the teachers. They found him quite the talent despite being a no-name, and after a word with the headmaster he was allowed entry as a high school student. Only a few teachers, including the one that scouted him, knew he was technically homeless. However, only the headmaster knows about his past with his parents -- and it took some pleading on Kazuya's part to keep the headmaster from calling them. However, he managed to get the agreement, and so he entered the school. Of course, as stated before, no one was aware of his transferring. The headmaster even likes to secretly spoil him from time to time because of his background -- casually getting him clothes and other such things so that no one questions why he doesn't have more belongings. Of course, no one in the school actually knows about that. They would start prying if they found out, after all. Kazuya won't admit it, but he's grown quite fond of the attention he gets from the headmaster.

Sinclair Descoteaux
Clair
Acting | Sixteen | 5'7"

Dorm: 010
Goal: TV/Movie Actor and Director
Personality: It's hard to ignore Sinclair, even if you try really hard. He enjoys attention so if you're the only one around he'll do everything in his power to make you notice him. He likes to tease and joke around with others, but he'll usually stop once he notices the other person becoming irritated. The only exception is if he doesn't like you, then he won't really care if he makes you mad. He's a conceited teenager so he generally puts himself first, unless he truly cares for you. He shows more of a caring side to those he's close with, it's rare for him to show this soft side to anyone else. He's prideful so it's not likely for him to admit defeat or apologize. This cocky attitude of his does make it hard for him to make friends sometimes, especially with other acting students. He does have talent as an actor but he isn't the best, which he would never admit.

He's very confident in everything he does, so he wouldn't turn down a challenge or dare. When Sinclair has made up his mind it's hard for someone to change it due to him being stubborn. Losing is something he doesn't take very well and will become rather upset, but the next time you see him he'll act as if nothing had happened. He doesn't just forget of course, he's just pretending he's fine with losing until he can somehow get back at the one who beat him. He's impatient so he usually doesn't wait too long before sabotaging or embarrassing them. If he's unable to do so he'll carry a grudge and refuse to be friendly towards them. He can be a bit much for a lot of people, but once you get past his impertinent exterior you'll find his loving interior. He's protective of those he cares about and very loyal.

History: Sinclair Descoteaux is the only child of the famous French director Renard Descoteaux and his wife Adelaide Descoteaux, who is a famous actress and model. They were very wealthy due to their thriving careers so they had many homes in many parts of France, as well as a few other other countries, but their primary home was in Nice. Sinclair grew up getting whatever his heart desired and traveling to beautiful places for vacations. While this was ideal, the young boy didn't get to spend as much time with his parents as he would have liked. They were often working so during these vacations was when he spent most of his time with them. He was raised primarily by his nannies and maids so they knew more about him than his parents. This bothered him but they wouldn't listen to his complaints. He would often try to explain how he would like to spend more time with them, but he's either ignored or interrupted by their work in the middle of talking.

He enjoyed going to school since it allowed him to spend time with kids his own age, but he hated doing actual school work. Gym was fun, even though he wasn't the strongest or fastest boy by far it was still enjoyable to play with the other kids. He always dreaded returning home to his big, empty house where he'd be alone until school began again the next day. By the end of elementary school he was tired of being ignored by his parents and being alone so much. This prompted him to find friends to hangout with outside of school. The parents of the friends he already had wouldn't let their children go to his house to play since Sinclair's parents wouldn't be there so he decided he would have to find friends with parents that wouldn't mind. Halfway through his first year of middle school he found the friend he was looking for, a boy named Adrien Lapointe. His parents were often busy just as his own so they became best friends rather quickly.

Sinclair and Adrien began doing everything together, even going on vacations with each other's families. Before realizing it, Sinclair began to develop feelings for his friend, but he kept this a secret in order to keep their relationship stable. He pretended to be interested in girls at their school and when Adrien found a girlfriend he urged Sinclair to ask one of the girls that he liked to be his girlfriend so they could go on double dates. Not wanting to seem suspicious he agreed and asked one of the prettiest girls in his grade out, Richelle Blanc. Despite being immature and spoiled he was a handsome boy so she happily said yes, becoming his first girlfriend. The four of them began going to parties together since Adrien's girlfriend had an older sister that enjoyed throwing them while their parents were away. This is where Sinclair began drinking and doing drugs, mainly because Adrien enjoyed such things.

During their last year of middle school Sinclair got too drunk at one of the parties and made the mistake of telling Adrien how he felt about him. His friend reacted in the way he'd always been afraid of, by ending their friendship out of disgust. This broke his heart as he immediately left the party and ran home, crying the whole time. Adrien told Richelle what happened after Sinclair refused to contact her, feeling too embarrassed but she went to his house to confront him. There he learned that she'd realized his feelings for Adrien soon after they began dating but went along with it anyway due to how much she cared for him. This cheered Sinclair up as she continued to say that she wanted them to stay friends, the only would he would have since Adrien told all of his others who decided to sever their ties with him. This being so made the rest of the school year hell for Sinclair, so he continued to drink usually alone, but sometimes with Richelle. She didn't like him drinking so much since he tended to make a fool of himself and cause trouble.

The summer before he would begin high school was rather eventful for Sinclair. He was constantly partying, which his parents had finally realized he was doing and weren't happy about. They attempted to ground him but he ignored them since they weren't even there. He wanted them to get mad enough to come home though, so he decided to throw a party at their home for the first time. he ended up drinking too much and decided to take one of his father's cars out for a joyride with Richelle, who had been trying to talk him out of it, and two others. As expected, they crashed but fortunately more damage was done to the car than any of them. The two in the back were able to run away before the police came, but Sinclair and Richelle were too stunned by the impact to do anything. They were taken to the hospital where Sinclair was treated for a dislocated shoulder, two broken ribs, and a bruised cheek bone while Richelle was treated for a broken nose, three broken ribs, and one fractured rib. This was effective in bringing his parents home from work, and they were indeed quite angry as well as worried.

Once Sinclair had recovered his parents decided he needed guidance, so they were able to get him accepted at Starlight Academy for high school. He wasn't happy about this at all since he wouldn't have his best friend there, but they didn't give him a choice. He was able to hangout with Richelle once more before leaving for his first year of high school. He hated it at first, mainly because he was refusing to give it a chance but that would change after being there for half a year. He was there for acting since his parents were prominent in the movie industry and he realized that he wanted to act and direct. With this new found goal he made decent grades. Sinclair was happy to tell Richelle all about school during the summer break and she was glad he was enjoying school. He's excited for the year ahead of him and is wanting to be a Prince before he graduates so he's planning on working hard for the remaining years he'll be there.

Oliver Lukas Myrene
Oli, Olivia
Fashion | Seventeen | 5'4"

Dorm: 005
Goal: Fashion Designer
Personality: Oliver is abnormally feminine for a male, enough so that nobody believes that he is even a guy in the first place. His optimistic and happy nature tends to bring smiles around the room. He thrives on fashion, mainly clothes. He tends to critique others' clothing without realising how harsh he may be. He absolutely admires it and will often rant about it. While he makes friends easily, he won't trust anyone that easy and tends to keep everything to himself. He's cute, and knows damn well that he is. Since he is always happy, it is very rare to seeing him in some form of negative emotion, which is great. When this quirky guy starts talking, you have to interrupt him or he will not stop for a long while.
History: Oliver grew up in a household with a lot of money, and what he'd always spend money on was clothes. Both his parents ran a brand name clothing line, so it was pretty obvious where he got his style and interest from. He spent many day sewing with his parents, helping out slightly to make the clothes they did. They knew style, color coordination, and most definitely fit. No, not everyone extra small could only wear their fabulous clothes. Everything was custom made, their stores based solely on custom sized orders. However, this luxury for Oliver didn't last very long.

Something he noticed was a thing about girl clothes. Those skirts, the dresses, the cardigans, they piqued his interest. He thought, why not? He asked for his dad to make a dress for him, who was very hesitant at first. He didn't know why he was, but he eventually gave in. That day he wore it, he found out why his dad didn't want him to. Appearing at school that day was the worst day of his life. Everyone made fun of him, laughed at him and calling him names. "Oh, look at that sissy!" "That's disgusting, when did you decide to be a girl?" "Get away, you're weird!" he came home crying, unable to take it all.

Not only was that the problem. His mom saw, and she was enraged. She thought that by wearing that dress, he was shunning females and was a disgrace to his gender. She said that he needed to be more like an actual guy, he was born as one so that's how he needed to be. The constant bickering between the mother and the son only got worse. She was yelling at him one day, while he was putting up his hair. "You even grew out your hair?! What am I to do with you? I might as well kick you out, you're aren't even worthy of a son, let alone some daughter I didn't ask for!" That was the last straw. He threw his brush at his mom and the broke out in a fight on the floor. Their dad came home to finally physically break them up, and realised that it wasn't going to work out between them anymore. He sent him off to a school, hoping that while he was away and by the time he got back, they'd both come to a consensus with each other.
