it could have been where she's spying on him and when
he asks her for her help, she can spy on him AND get paid
for another job ~ i know he'd be very angry / want to kill her
when he found out she was really spying on him although
i wouldn't put it past ayrin to be suspicious of deca in the first place
but i think he'd want to keep his reputation clean and pretend
that he never went to her in the at all becuz it'd make him
look bad. so that could be something deca holds over his head?
exploit that someone superior such as him goes to her to take
care of a problem when he should have dealt with it himself ?
i'm cool with it being years after they seen each other ~ i kind
of want them to be on bad terms with each other or at least ayrin
be on bad terms with deca as it would cause a lot of problems
if anyone found out a vampire had dealings with someone in
sanctuary. and then we can do that whole, "oh....YOU" thing LOL
I like that a lot, actually. She got both jobs done and paid for both. That's something she would do.
And yes,she would Def use that as a weapon against him. She doesn't really trust her contractors so she doesn't expect to be trusted back. She usually has a failsafe of sorts in case things go to s**t, but she's been lazier as of late because her reputation keeps her safe enough.
I agree with them being on bad terms. Once she got paid she may have subtly implied that she'd talk if he ever did anything rash, and then left without giving him a chance to reply. Like a little something to keep him from messing with her later on if he ever changed his mind about trusting her?
She personally would not have negative feelings towards him, it's just business, but if she sees HE has them towards her, Oh yeah, she's gonna take advantage of that in any way she can. So she might be like 'Oh hey its you' at first, even if his reaction is much more irate.
I smell blackmail and her using him in case she ever needs help on a job.
Also gonna take the time to explain what her abilities actually are. Her main one is that she can slide into shadows and travel through them. No shadow manipulation, it's more of a travel and concealment thing but it's very good for combat. Her other ability is dream walking, but to do it efficiently she needs to have enough of a connection with someone, which is gained by literally stalking them,shadowing them for a bit. Once she has a strong enough bond to them, she can instinctively travel to them and feed off of their dreams. Bonding to supernaturals is harder because her feeding instinct doesn't help her do it. Takes more stalkin and/or relationship.
If she's fully fed, she will have the consistency and bodily functions of a human along with her abilities and regenerative strength. The longer she goes, the less human she becomes. Less consistent, instead of blood it's plasma, generally very inhuman and starved looking. She doesn't let it get to that point tho. Lots offeeding ground. SShe's powerless in complete darkness, however, because she automatically loses her physical form and just blends as a shadow. Conversely, in full lighting she can't lose her physical form and is an easy target. Susceptible to fire and magic, if one is a magician of some sort. Also doesn't fare well in large crowds or having too many people look at her.
