I get them out of Lily's room and end it so that we can time skip if you want.

I feel like an older version of LIly would be either Espeon or Gardevoir.

There's always been fairy type, hasn't there? Or at least second gen. Idk I stopped at first gen, I just watched the show and movie really. And played... ruby? Or fire red? Whatever, the one with mudkip. Pokemon's not really fun, it's just level grinding... idk.
