I'd really like roleplay partners, especially long-term. I generally stick to playing females, and playing with male characters. Exceptions are rare. I prefer my roleplays mature and original, as I really have no desire to play a character straight out of an anime. Below for things I'd like. =)

Books;
Harry Potter (Here, I may accept playing characters from the book.)
Anne Rice's Vampire Series [anyone have a good plot here?]

Fantasy;
Vampre/Vampire
Vampire/Human
Demon/Other?
Demon/Human
Other Fantasy (elves, ogres, etc. yum)

Past;
Royalty (>_>; Plot?)
Lord/??
Pirate
Kidnapping
Master/Slave

Present;
The above scenarios.
I'm not a big fan of modern-day.
Past eras can be almost any.
