LoK isn't bad, it's just not nearly as developed as it could be because it was originally only supposed to be a mini-series. I can forgive some of its faults because of that, but I really don't feel attached to any of the characters like I did in The Last Airbender.

I'd love to see a show with the Gaang again, but unfortunately I think the extra comics are all we're gonna get.

No. There's a reason sequels are always terrible when they're compared with the original. The story is done - trying to squeeze a sequel out of a show like ATLA (with the same characters) would be akin to re-animating a person who's been dead for 2 hours. Under the right circumstances, you might be ABLE to, but it sure as hell won't be the same person anymore. Just a poor vegetable being barely kept alive by life support.

Im sure they came around that idea, tried it out, and watched what they had...but it seemed that ppl wanted something totally different :/
