yep people mainly speak canto here, but then again so many mainlanders moved southwards it's practically bilingual
.....then again english is pretty common too, so tourists'll get by ahaha
&yeah it totally is >:
but it's not as bad as other southeastern countries where they flood - it's pretty mild here and we don't farm so it's good
wooooow did you used to live here or smth? it's practically impossible to hear cicadas in the city *___*

Haha, nooooo. But when I lived in Korea/Japan, I heard cicadas all though the summer.
I'm in Chicago for a couple of months and I miss hearing them cry.
Who knows? In a couple of years, I might go to HK.
I like to live in different countries and I can afford to move around since I'm a freelancer.
Is there anywhere else you'd like to live?

also, Naoki... crying do you have any bishounen for me to draw?

all i can say is they're prolly a lot less polluted than right here ಠ_ಠ LOL
i agree that it would be a good experience tho, living here - there's just so much.... /stuff/ going on culturally and everything - it's a lovely place to be *v*
&woooow sweet! freelancing sounds really cool omg emotion_kirakira what kind of work do you do exactly? like write?

I do freelancing graphic design and I'm also a writer.
I make a pretty good income, but my money is kind of not really necessary.
My SO is a certified ESL teacher, soo... sweatdrop
We can pretty much go anywhere we want.
I think in a couple of years we'll move to Thailand.
I liked Japan a lot, but I didn't live in tokyo.
My dad lives in Beppu, which...haha, it's kind of really boring.
I don't like the portions they give, compared to Korea.
crying JP was so expensive.
I've never been to London. What's it like there?

aah...it;s all effort, though. I started writing professionally since I was 16.
crying I put in a lot of time to write and draw.
I know a lot of people think talent is involved.
but I think talent is minor. it depends on what you're willing to sacrifice.
for example, I've been living here for about a year, but I have no friends.
which is okay. I don't like to leave the house.
but instead of socializing time, i get writing/drawing time.
so, I think anyone who's great at something, had to work for it.
don't believe them when they say it comes easy to them!

as for house full of children...*dies*
not...now. probably not ever.
I don't deal very well with children.
I used to be a private tutor in Korea and hated every second of it.
crying i wish I can be good with children, but being with kids makes me uncomfortable, loool.

i rofl'd at your comment about being at Heathrow. >.> you're so cute!

oh man i feel for you ;______; <3
sounds like you really put in a whole deal of effort just to get where you are today
even though this may sound baseless but i do hope that you end up happy whatever you do <3
it's great in itself how you enjoy doing what you do - not many people have that so you're really lucky!

omfg that's kinda cute in a weird way rofl xd
you never know tho! i've got this friend who's absolutely HAAAAATED kids her entire life but she's working as a kindergarten teacher right now and she's loving it
