I'm 1 8 yearold europian otaku girl and a Youtuber and well..
this place used to be crouded with people like me and now i can't find anyone..

2nd. what's so wrong with using that word? My friends and I are all otaku and we know it's meaning on japanese but still we are proud to be called that way and we take it really serious, we are even cosplayers !!!

||| Okay for one, if you're going to use Japanese in a post then type entirely in Japanese. If you can't, then don't use Japanese in the first place.

Two, there is no reason to call yourself an otaku. "Anime fan" is sufficient. When you call yourself an otaku, people will purposely avoid you because "ew, no one wants to be friends with an otaku they're embarrassing."

Three, your taste in anime makes me cry.

I don't see what are they all fussing about, here where I am only people that know term otaku are the otakus themselves..

PS: if i were an anime fan i would call myself anime fan.. but instead i dedicated my life to manga, anime and video games.. literly just sitting infront of the screen whole day and night and going out on convencions, collecting stuff,,,, once again may i say.. Watashi wa otaku desu !!! mrgreen

Considering this place is to be nearly dead, I don't think you would find any 'otakus` here. I think you should find other forums sites that welcomes otakus, some people here don't like to associate with them for certain reasons.
