Neon Genesis Evangelion question

I've never seen Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Should I watch the movie? 1.11 You are Not Alone? Then wait for the rest of the movies to come out and watch those?

Or should I watch the series, then watch the movies afterward?

I mean, because the show is the original one. The movie has stuff cut out to make it faster paced to where it's just action and storyline. Except, apparently the final movie will end differently.

Anyway, what should I do?

I'd start with the series. You'll get great character build up, and be able to pick up on the subtle ques of what's really going on behind the scenes, with Nerv, Seele, and the such.

Then head to Rebuild, 1.11, 2.22, 3.33 will be out later this year in Japan.

Or start with Rebuild, if you like action more so than depth.

Tv show, end of evangelion and then the rebuilds.

Remember the tv show and end of evangelion is the creator depressed, single and completely ******** up but the rebuilds are him now with a family and happy.

You have to watch the tv show and end of evangelion. Or your not a neon genesis fan. 3nodding
