Sailor moon was the first anime I really got into so it has a special place in my heart. I used to watch the other two though, especially Dragon Ball Z because it came on the international channel in Japanese. smile

Of course, outside of those, I really liked Samurai Troopers, Lost Universe, Slayers, Lodoss...

I don't feel as though any of those options are particularly 'old school' per-say, but of them, I'd have to say Sailor Moon. Although, I like the manga better. In that vein, I like the Pokemon manga far better than the anime, too (and the games ).

I always enjoyed watching DBZ/DB, but I never watched it consistently enough to actually consider myself a fan. Enough to know most of the characters and understand the broader as well as some of the finer points of the plot, yes, but not enough, as I said, to be a real fan of it.
