I believe your first visit will be talking to the family's first lady. You can talk to her at anytime with any questions and she can help you with breastfeeding info and stuff like that. It may be different where you live though. You should be able to hear the heart beat by now. They may draw your blood to see if you are anemic or anything. I guess it just depends. I've been to two different Dr.'s. The Dr. with the last baby was sooo much better than this last one.
God... I hate needles >.< i couldn't even stand to watch my ex give blood. It was so... unnerving

Same here!! I hate a needle! I can handle it during delivery though bc I know every little thing brings me closer to my baby. I think you'll only need your blood drawn twice. Once in the beginning and once at 6 months. I had to drink this concentrated grape syrup and then an hr later they draw your blood to check for gestational diabetes. Anyway, needles and I do not get along. My dad that adopted me is an LVN and my step mom is phlabotomist (sp) so I should be used to them..you'd think.
