Misty Stoic Mage

Description: Grim tales of the island by the village's port were all but stories told to scare children. Until a couple of boys set out at dusk to a boat they stole to seek the truth. Tonight the moon was full, and the tides were vicious, the black mist grew thicker the closer they sailed. There was no going back once their boat was pulled in closer to the island. A boy couldn't handle the terrors that would come. He jumped off and swam against the tides. His friends, trying to turn ship, lost sight of him as the mist rolled in. As they hit land, the boys, wondered around the deserted island. A figure in the distance had glowing eyes. Cursed and condemned to haunt whoever enters through the mist, it was their friend who had jumped into the sea. Torn by the sight of their friend, the boys scattered running deeper into the island while the last boy ran to his friend trying to get his senses back together. None have come back to the village, none were seen again.

There are no happy endings.
