Lady Jayne's Chance Encounter

Description: Jayne had discovered the location of the tomb not a moment too soon, as Dr. Jasper Smyth was engaged with the wrathful animated mummy of a late great pharaoh, whose body and name were thought to have been lost for all time.
"Quickly, this way!" came a voice from the entrance of the tomb.
Jayne's pistol fired at the corpse, stunning it long enough for her to pull Jasper from its clutches as they both ran quickly for their lives. Once outside, they were met by a black-haired stranger, who shouted at them to jump behind a nearby sand dune. The sound of explosives rang through the valley, trapping the creature once again in its tomb, supposedly for good.
"Sir, I owe you my life!" Dr. Smyth exclaimed, running to shake the stranger's hand once the dust had settled. The striking young man smiled at Jayne and the professor warmly.
"My pleasure, mes amis."

"And it will be even more pleasurable to learn all your secrets, professor," the stranger thought to himself.
