Oh trust me, I AM alive! AND I've graduated this past Saturday! Sadly, my laptop's adapter broke 11 days ago and since my laptop lived on a direct power outlet, I can't turn on my laptop at all. My Toshiba is the only laptop with the Skype feature. This laptop (an old Dell) is all I have for now until I get a new adapter. I miss you D: I miss Thai too! Hope you guys a

hey there. You may be able to find Dirk Gently on a site here from Australia: iview. It is our national broadcaster and they put most stuff up on the net to watch at later dates. This may be of some assistance. btw nice song choice.

Aw man D: At least you'r sleeping these days! Yay! I tend to be online all day. Like I'll just leave it on idle. Depending on school though, I either get home at 2:30 or 3:30 and won't log in till 4:00 pm on those days.

As an admirer of Adams work, I see no problem with the movie. The original tv series had 6 episodes, and that tried to cover the trilogy when it was only in 3 parts. Both compliment the book, and the authors intention. 42 still holds up as the answer to the ultimate question. And movies made now seem to have to cater to everyone to make a buck, so it may not be pure, but it is indeed watchable. I watch it maybe 3 times a year, and never grow bored. The books will always offer more than what any movie can, since it also relies a lot on the reader and their ability to immerse themselves. I wish I could read more Philip K d**k novels, but I don't like the way he writes. But the s**t he suggests just blows my mind.

Tis cool. Time is an abstract concept so no need to fret. Douglas Adams had a way with words, and within his work it could be argued he was trying to put some pretty heavy ideas out there disguised with smatterings of humour, and in my opinion, quite sad about the whole thing. Maybe as sad as Kurt Vonnegut, but without the obvious anger in Vonneguts work. And not as nihilstic as Alan Moore's 'The Watchmen', but enjoyable just the same. Douglas, in his non-fiction work, travelled the world seeking out creatures on the edge of extinction, which for me, gave me a different perspective as to how to approach his fictional works. If time is your problem, hire the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe and give it a watch. If you like that, seek out his books. Mos Def is great as Ford Prefect, and Sam Rockwell is awesome as Zaphod Beeblebrox. If you can get a hold of the UK TV series made in the 80's, I recommend that too.

In the meantime, I am happy to ponder about other s**t as well. Thanks for dropping by. And the answer is 42.
