Hmm I'd say Harry Potter is more popular than Naruto. surprised Haha never heard them called "cults" and never heard "weeaboo" before... gotta look that one up. ._.;
But yeah, I totally wouldn't say just because someone likes Naruto that they are a Narutard. Or better put: All Narutards are Naruto fans, but not all Naruto fans are Narutards. Hahaha. Same can be said for other anime. You are right about it being a middle/highschool stereotype, haha. Hence I haven't met many people in college that were like this. Maybe if there were more anime fans in my college? *shrug* You can be sure there will be plenty at Otakon, haha. If I judge something harshly(which is really not very often.. on select few occasions), I always have plenty of reasons to back it up. ^_~

Yeah all the stupidity and bashing here is why I didn't go on here for a loooooong time(until someone asked if I had an account here and I came back out of curiosity). But the same can be said for basically any forum site.

This weekend *if we aren't broke from Otakon lol* I'm going to defiantly get the Megaman X collection and we can beat all the games together >=3 I never thought I'd like Megaman again, let alone that you'd like it to XD Now I know I'm running out of PS2 games to play haha.

Mehhh not everything that gains recognition grows a Naruto-esque fanbase, haha. I wouldn't stop liking something just because it became popular; if something I actually liked a lot became popular that might not be so bad, haha.(Like look at Harry Potter.. suuuper popular and I LOVE IT) Anime becoming popular I didn't really like because of the really annoying anime fans that followed. Wasn't expecting that. And all of a sudden, when I say I like anime, I become lumped into a group with wapanese japanophiles who say "desu" as many times as they can fit into a sentence, survive off Pocky and Ramune sodas, speak in fake high-pitched voices and have screaming, squealing fits over cosplayers dressed as their favorite characters. XD

I have always disliked anime on TV because.. well I have just never cared for any of the shows that come on tv. Their plots? the characters? Depends on the show really. It wouldn't bother me so much if all the fans of those shows would stop drilling me about how great the show is. I never really thought about why I hated TV anime so much, just ever since non-childish anime started showing on TV(other than ones I'd already seen before they aired) I just knew I hated it. :/ It wasn't really about he popularity or hype at all; but more about the shows themselves(theirselves? nah that doesn't sound right). And even if they were shows I had seen before, usually they weren't THAT great (minus like.. Bebop and Champloo XD) and I just think it is a shame that people don't use the anime on TV as more of a "gateway drug" to other anime. I guess it can be compared to people not liking music played on the radio or something. *shrug* I mean I honestly don't care anymore if people only watch anime on tv because I don't even know what anime are on tv anymore, lol. I used to care more about that kind of thing, but now most anime fans just download everything, so I don't really encounter people who only watch TV anime. I don't think I've met anyone in college who only watches TV anime at least..

I've never seen Bleach, but my roommate really likes it.(Thenagain she likes a lot of anime that I really don't like, so I get to spend everyday surrounded by posters of anime I don't like at all. XD I've gotten used to it. razz ) Brandon says he'd rather drink Bleach than watch Bleach(he used to watch it), and he told me the basic storyline but I've never felt compelled to watch it. XD I don't watch that much anime really anymore; still like it, but I just have other interests that I pursue too. Not like in middle school when anime was my LIFE. XD (I think my brother has the same problem - after he started watching j-dramas, he didn't watch anime before because he liked the dramas so much more! Gotta love those dramas! <3) I don't know about most of the shows that are popular now; I just know what they look like because of animepaper.

I don't really mind so much the little kids becoming huge anime fans of things like Naruto, because it's expected - like look at how Pokemon was when we were little. Was is THE BEST ANIME EVARR? No, but we still loved it. razz What is a little more bothersome is the adults obsessing over shonen shows like Naruto. XD But whatever floats their boat!

Noooo I know it doesn't make the game. What I was going for was more along the lines of "wow this deserves to be seen and played". HELL no I don't want anything I like to be like Bleach or Naruto. *pukes* At least I never liked them in the first place. I feel bad for people who may have liked those shows before they became super-popular. @_@

Yeah I don't play the mac ones as much anymore because I had just had my fill of it for a while, but when I played the demo of the 360 one I got super excited about Revolution. Brandon's friend was a programmer for the 360 one so it's kinda cool knowing someone in the credits. XD Lucky working for firaxis! So hes getting a free copy supposedly, but I just bought my own cuz I don't feel like waiting on someone else's generosity. Im pretty hooked on the DS version!
